  1. I would buy a Sunset Valley LP box set without a second thought. An incredible band from the late 90s that received far less attention than they deserved.
  2. The black vinyl is up on bullmoose.com. Order more than $30 of vinyl and it ships free (no tax if you don't live in Maine, I think).
  3. Tempting. Wonder why not even a single song to listen to.
  4. Good looking out. That's a really good box set (I have the version with pink vinyl).
  5. I received my K Records 10-LP bundle (approximately $35 including shipping). These are not dogs! Check out the list: Treepeople, Guilt, Regret and Embarrassment (fantastic pre-Built to Spill band--great album!) Modest Mouse, Sad Sappy Sucker Iqu and Friends, Teenage Dream (a total of 9 remixes of 2 songs) Some Velvet Sidewalk, Shipwreck Black Anger, 206 Mix Tapes (Worldwide) Desolation Wilderness, New Universe Mecca Normal, Calico Kills the Cat Jeremy Jay, A Place Where We Could Go Old Time Relijun, La Sirena de Pecera (Phil Elvrum on drums) Snuff, Reach Mirah, Gone Are All the Days Remixes Woelv, Tout Seul dans La Foret en Pleine Jour
  6. They told me they "might" start shipping in "the next few weeks." It was not at al convincing. She told me I could have my purchases refunded, so I wen that route. They are quick with refunds at least.
  7. 10 K Records LPs for $25 + shipping It's likely these LPs will be artists you might not have heard of before, but K has released a lot of good music in its time. Always good to support a truly independent label.
  8. Yeah, I missed out on the VU box too. Frustrating for sure, but scored other great stuff.
  9. Yeah, I grabbed some insane deals. Saved something like a total of $200 on the going rate for those items at the time.
  10. I would be too, but these kinds of crazy deals only come up about once a year on eBay. No way you could have known. The last time was maybe a year ago when we were sure the seller was mislisting all these amazing box sets for $15-30, and it turned out all of the shipments came through and all were vinyl. So random.
  11. HOLY SHIT! LOL! Great news. Thank you. (And here's hoping all these orders convince them to continue selling great stuff like this at low prices.) I ordered one of everything, so I'm very happy to hear I won't have to return a bunch of CD box sets. (No, I'm not a dealer. Just an insane vinyl lover.)
  12. First 20 seconds of that first song still give me goose bumps.
  13. Anyone receive any of their oddbanana box set orders yet? If so, are they LPs or CDs? Mine are still on the way.
  14. Would love to see a Dukes of Stratosphear box set that I can afford someday. It's going for nearly $200. Gah.
  15. Grabbed the original Skylarking when it was released (the version before they added "Dear God" when it became popular) back in 1986. Saw Todd Rundgren play the next summer in Boston (he produced the album). Skylarking is one of my all-time favorite albums, and the box set is a must-have. Still waiting for English Settlement to come down in price before I pick it up. Would also love to see a Dukes of Stratosphear box set at some point.
  16. Amazon has 12 warehouses in Kentucky, and four of them are in Shepherdsville:
  17. Interesting new development: all four box sets had tracking numbers, but I've refreshed the page again and now only two of them have tracking numbers. Uh...wut?
  18. I ordered the Ryan Adams box set, the Lips box, the Clapton box, and the Day of the Dead box. Just received tracking numbers for all four of them, so they have all shipped. Boom. (No, I'm not the dealer who tried to order every item posted. Just an insane vinyl buyer. Seriously, I believe this is some kind of madness, but it's a madness I enjoy.)
