My bundle arrived three days ago. Honestly, THIS is what people meant when they said "grunge" before Newsweek ran a story about "grunge." Great stuff. Incidentally, be sure to check your LPs closely. For me, side B of God's Balls had a long scratch straight out of the undamaged sleeve; they're sending me a replacement.

I'd love to see you focus now and again on independent labels such as Sub Pop, Merge, Matador, 4AD, Rough Trade, Third Man, etc.

You know when you're excited to support an independent venture, give them some of your money, and interact with the people who run it? That was my frame of mind. Unfortunately, they made it clear they didn't give a fuck if I bought anything from them or not. Super rude, dismissive, pissy when I didn't use cash, and essentially everything I hadn't imagined I'd experience when meeting them. I still dropped more than a hundo on a couple box sets. Just wish they had sent people who could represent their label better than they--the founders--do

I got to meet the Numero Group founders at an event this last weekend. You know how they say you should never meet your heroes? That couldn't be more true in this case. I'll be divorcing that experience from their label going forward because I like what they release, including (I'm sure) this Husker release.

Always regretted selling my Soundgarden double CD with SOMMS. Hope I can score it on vinyl.

If you went to a Failure show on this tour, approximately what time did they hit the stage? Going to the Seattle show, but the time is listed as 6pm to 9pm, which seems odd at best.

This one will end up one of my most listened to new albums this year. So much that's good about it. Buy!

OH, MAN--if it's the Wrens, I'm scoring multiple copies. I saw them 13(!) years ago in Seattle when they were touring "The Meadowlands," and it was a transformative experience. They were so nice and signed all of my stuff, including the handmade copy of "The Meadowlands" I had. As soon as they hit the stage, they became something altogether amazing. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
