  1. I'll get in on this "Someone get me a record release show version of the LP" and I'll give you money + a little extra for your trouble. Any takers? Send me a pm!
  2. I've got the 6". I just need the 7"s. If anyone's got: Pung - Danarchy Pung/Less Than Jake - Split Hit me up!
  3. This is such a bummer. To me, they kept getting better and better with each new release.
  4. It started mixing the questions and answers. There would be three questions in a row and then Chris' answers would appear as one block of text and out of order.
  5. Interview was rad! FYI: The format gets a bit wonky towards the end.
  6. I've got a couple questions about record mastering if you guys wouldn't mind chiming in. I'm in a band and we're about to record a bunch of songs for future releases. One of them will be a 12" full length and I was wondering how long each side should be, ideally, at 33 rpm? I've heard that it should be about 18 minutes max per side, but that it can vary from place to place. What are your experiences/recommendations? After that we're thinking about doing a split with another band. It'll be too long for a 7" and we are thinking of going the 10" route. However, the side lengths vary a bit. One of the bands is planning on doing about 13 minutes, and the other is doing less than 10. This means that the 10 minute side could be pressed at 45 rpm, so would it be worth the risk to do the other side at that speed too? Should it just be a 33? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys may have.
  7. Both of these, for sure. I think Matt has some good songs on This Addiction but it's got some terrible tracks as well.
  8. I totally see where you are coming from, but at the same time, to continue what we do we have to price records at certain price. Our normal LPs (besides bigger re-issues that we have to license) are anywhere from $12-$15, which I think is extremely reasonable. This record will be somewhere in that region as well. I'm glad to hear it'll be in that area. I think that is more than fair, it's just when it seems like things are $15 at minimum it always makes it a little harder for me to justify it. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
  9. Pretty much hit the nail on the head. I should have just posted this: :'(
  10. Hmmmm? What LP (single or double) have I ever released that has cost more than $25? I can totally press this on thin vinyl with a shitty jacket and it'll cost you $11, is that what you prefer? Did I exaggerate a bit? Sure. It doesn't change the fact that I feel records shouldn't even cost $25. I have never had an issue with sound or packaging from labels such as Dischord or No Idea that use "thin vinyl" and "shitty jackets." I appreciate the fact you put this much effort and care into what you do, but at the same time I think it's extravagance for the sake of extravagance. A super thick jacket can get damaged in the mail just as easily as thin one and I've heard thick records that were mastered/pressed poorly. By pricing things like this you are turning off potential buyers (such as myself) who would love to have a record but can't afford to drop $25 (hell, even $15 is a bit much for a brand new record) plus shipping on something that isn't a necessity. In my opinion it is excessive. I wouldn't mind at all if there was a $25 deluxe version and a cheaper substitute, but I understand that would increase your cost and is quite a bit to actually pull off. I'm glad this is getting pressed, and I'm glad that you get to do it as you appear to be a fan of the band. However, I do not have the kind of income to sustain purchasing new records at such a cost. Sorry.
  11. ^^^^ Community College is a fucking great band with some of the best people in the world in it. Get there early to check them out!
  12. COME OUT! You can buy a t-shirt with my face on it...it doesn't even have the band name, just me giving the thumbs up.
  13. I kept meaning to go back and pick up the Methadones/Copyrights split but never did. We should work something out.
  14. I knew this had been recorded for a while and it's nice to see it finally available (kind of). I really hope they come back through this area soon.
  15. It's really fucking good. I love the 7", but this is better.
  16. I did indeed! I got a couple other things at Dave's, but I was pretty stoked on those. Reckless had a used copy of "Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes" on red but it was $80 and I was not dropping that much money on it.
  17. I figured I'd bump this as I got some great used finds yesterday. T.S.O.L. - Posh Boy EP - original - $7 Communique - Poison Arrows - Red w/signed poster - $5 Fifth Hour Hero - Not Revenge, Just A Vicious Crush - $4
  18. I saw Doomtree last night and it was absolutely mind blowing. It started off rather poorly by just having the DJs (Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger) just do instrumental DJ tracks but once everyone else hit the stage it was two hours of nonstop hip hop perfection. Fuck. It was so good.
  19. Diary of a Mad Black Woman. I don't know how or why I have this, but I do.
  20. This. It's also good to see that George will be back playing shows with HWM. Hopefully this means this "new album" is well on its way.
