It helps having a place that you hear them. If you like your Omega, you can always stay with Ortofon and get a 2M red/blue, or the OM series.
I do like my Omega, but I can see more & more where it lacks in mid and high ranges with certain records in particular. I was thinking of jumping to the 2M red to see what it has to offer and then if I want I can just grab another stylus to try the blue out down the road if I'm impressed. I would like to try an AT cart but am afraid of the brightness that has been described repeatedly, and the stories of "the Grado hum". Sucks not having any place near me that sells high end audio equipment so I can go demo some before making such a huge cash leap. Hell, a 2M red will be more than I paid for my TT itself...

I was going to grab a AT440mlb is they had any on sale. I don't need one, and I'm happy with my upgraded Grado, but options are always nice (esp a deal).
I'm so torn in which direction to step considering this is a costly upgrade to be unhappy with if I make the wrong choice. Getting a deal would certainly soften that blow

Well it looks like it is probably pointless for me to hit up the Audio-Technica warehouse sale tomorrow. A local audio store posted a picture of a giant line, 3 hours before it opened. I doubt there will be any carts. I want left :(.
Pretty sure my next upgrade will be a new cart. So unsure of which direction to go with this decision... Endless choices & opinions

Good day all. I swear if this year doesn't hurry up and end without taking one more great musician with it, I'm just gonna lose my shit. Now Greg Lake too. Those first two King Crimson albums are like bibles to me in a silly sort of way. So heavy, yet right at the dawn of heavy & progressive music's big push through's into the mainstream.

Didn't get a clear answer as to why this happened, and got the impression that it could happen at any time...great.
Sorry to tell you buddy, but the girlfriend says it can the same way a lung will collapse again after it's happened once already. If you had an appendectomy you would have been out of the hospital faster!

At my girlfriend's family's Christmas party. I got a bunch of presents but I still don't remember who anyone (over the age of 30 or under 23) actually is.
It's my 3rd Christmas and I've been to 2 of their weddings so I should start remembering names.
Always shoot for the "Hey guy" or "Buddy!" thing when forgetting family members lol

Right? Sounds like he has marbles in his mouth
I've had dinner with a whole group of Scottish people and had no trouble understanding them, but he's speaking some bastardized form of English/Cockney with a Scottish accent lol
Edit: "Garble garble, fuck off! Garble garble...

That soundd like an awesome Saturday
All these years later, and I still have trouble understanding what Wattie says. His accent is just so thick!

...not so surprising on the "no children, ever" thing though.
I hold the spot as "The only child in my family with no children". I feel like it's a trophy or something lol
Edit: Starting my Saturday off watching UK/DK @GHOSTDRONES after all the Oi! talk yesterday

Bit bummed today with the news of Micky Fitz's death.
This year needs to hurry up and be done with already. Can't wake up a single day without someone of worth being gone now.... The Business was definitely among the most listened to groups in my teens right next to The Exploited.

yea, its lower right side, but applying pressure doesn't really change the feeling...but probably will go on my way home.
ER folks did the contrast dye/CT Scan thing to diagnose me when I was in for mine.

Hey Tina! Your IG keeps me confused as to where you are, but I love the neat pictures of the Google place and the bikes and such!

guys, I think my appendix is going out. anyone have experience with this?
Don't fuck around if you are in pain my friend. When I went and had mine taken out, it was on the verge of bursting. My friend's friend had hers burst in the doctors office while she was waiting to be seen and she spent 3 months in the hospital recovering... Pain isn't a big deal to me so when I hurt, it means serious business. My hardheaded ass knew it was time to go when I said "ok, this is too much"
Edit: Also, they give you lots of Valium :)))))))))

Happy holiday folks

Where I get bogged down and lazy is when trying to put in something really common like a Van Halen record so you are stuck reading runout matrix imprints to assure you are adding the correct thing...

Bill Callahan soundtrack looks good, but of course my local won't have it...

I really want that Jane Doe but right, $20 just feels like a waste for a shirt to me... perhaps I am just getting cheap in my aging process lol

Thank you both for mentioning this and for throwing the link to it up. This is perfect morning chill music for sure...

I can't stop listening to the Morphine "Cure For Pain" reissue, I'm sorry I held out this long. It sounds incredible SQ wise, plus classic album. Can't think of another band like them
Honey White is my jam! Sucks the singer died so no chance of a reunion of them amongst all these other half ass 90's acts doing tours for money now

I really REALLY need a non-phone job. I just can't do this anymore.
Yea, I have to applaud your tolerance for the length of time I've been here and heard about what you put up with. I hated the phone like it was my worst enemy when I was working pizza places still because people have no idea how much of your time it takes away from helping another person that knows what they want or is already waiting on food.

Morning folks. Cool waking up to a surprise sale on Discogs for more than $50 to someone in China who actually paid already. I thought for sure it was a lottery scam at first lol

I can't really put into words how it felt to be able to just go get what I wanted when I wanted. And to have 70 strains sitting out in front of me was mind blowing for real...

Back in from Denver folks. Fun time, but damn am I worn out. Easily figured out why everyone there is skinny. Shins splints are kicking my ass today, but if I could walk to that diner with the most amazing pancakes ever, I'd do it without thought!

The hour time difference through me off for about a day, or 3 might be a full day or two. Coming back is worse.
I can imagine the return will be a nightmare for at least a few days. The time change last weekend has me screwed up bad enough already.

Morning or afternoon all. My time zones are fucked now because I landed in Denver and am all discombobulated. Traveling folks, how long will this last?

I have an SL-3200. It's solid as hell from what I can tell. The person I got it from had it since it was new and had taken very good care of it. I cleaned and serviced it when I got it, which didn't take much honestly. I had a friend who does electronics repair switch out the factory RCA outputs for a short set of females to allow me the option of whatever length chord I want on it and it's self grounded now so no more extra wire hanging out of the back to control it's distance from the amp. After upgrading the cart, my only real want is to get an integrated amp and do away with my receiver since I don't need a radio tuner at all.
