not sure if that's the problem or not, but I checked specifically on price of my medication before buying that plan so I'm frustrated, maybe that pharmacy is outside their circle?
I know BCBS does their shit in tiers. Like one of the anti epileptics I take is so new there is no generic for it so it's considered a tier 4 drug so I have to pay a portion of it while everything else I take is available in generics. It's a huge clusterfuck just to avoid health issues while causing others like stress issues and ulcers...
Edit: Pre Approval for a drug is bullshit too. If the doctor puts me on it, that pretty much says it in my opinion. They have a quantity limit on my heartburn meds...Like, wtf, and I gonna go home and smoke Prevacid???

Seriously wtf first time I've had health insurance and I was told when buying my plan my prescription would be $10, I go to pick it up and for a 2 week supply it's 4 times that. I call the insurance and it's a 40 min wait to talk to someone....fantastic
You're not alone brother. My plan was stopped being offered in my state this year so I had to pick another one up, still haven't gotten my cards or any of that shit, and they want nearly $26 for my Xanax at Walmart... I hate insurance bullshit!

Good morning everyone

Love y'all.
We all have our times, and words can help a lot. A few very awesome people here have helped me keep my mind afloat when it was sinking for sure. The power of positive strangers is real! Much love back homie <3

I walked by on my way to the locker room and I wanted to say "Maybe they actually put down their phones and work out" but instead dropped a very passive aggressive "You know everyone can hear you, right?" My girlfriend could hear them over her fucking headphones they were so loud.
If I hear that shit from them again I'm gonna up my petty passive aggressiveness to complaining about them at the front desk. It's a shitty Planet Fitness, but they actually take shit like that seriously.
Planet Fitness takes a lot of shit talk from people, but they have a great gym here and are serious about not letting you feel like you don't belong there or letting people be rude or hassle you. Talk to the front desk people, they are always willing to help out avoiding a shitty confrontation, especially when someone is just using the equipment for a seat...

My uncle had a heart attack last night and was basically dead but they brought him back but he only has about a 25% to make it. It's my dad's brother, which my dad just lost his mom in October and his dad in December and now this shit. The Fuck is going on.
Stay strong brother. You know where to find me if you need a shoulder...

First time it's happened in a long time. Hopefully it subsides soon, since it's just annoying more than a really bad one.
It's also quite cold out today, was 5F with a windchill of -7F when I left.
Ok, so, maybe a low of 17F is a gift... I cannot imagine dealing with negative temperatures. You're built of stronger stuff than you realize duder! Oh, btw, finally got my replacement tweeters for my Polk bookshelf speakers yesterday after complaining in October....

I almost sold a record on discogs like a year ago but after 29 days without receiving the payment, discogs cancelled it themselves I believe.
Jesus... that is superb slackness right there. Congrats on the little one btw, super cute IG pics

Morning all. So sorry to hear about the family & personal struggles @jhulud. Keep your chin up and don't forget that some of the most supportive people are the total strangers we make friends with here, and they are great for giving shoulders to lean on brother!

Indeed! I was able to add about 8 pieces to my collection that normally I would have picked up 2 or 3 in the same total price I paid. Aftermarket is insane...

Milk sammiches!!!!!!!
1 hour ago, Bladewillisisdead said:You're in South Carolina? North?
That'll be a clusterfuck. A light dusting of snow basically shuts down you southern states.
Look out, it's slightly cold & rainy... Sorry folks, South Carolina is closed....The moose out front should have told you!
45 minutes ago, throughbeingcruel said:I love waiting on discogs customers to pay for the shit they want
What's even better is making a sale then having to cancel it because the Discogs listing is wrong so they have your items listed as something they want but then change their mind... This was my issue two days ago...

It's tough with those SKM albums too. Koz doesn't seem to have any interest in repressing them, so waiting on that might not ever pay off. Signed copy of Ghosts sounds amazing! He doesn't seem like the type of dude who would sign LPs, haha. I'm still missing a few of the things he's released as Mark Kozelek, but I don't really know if I care about that 4xLP Christmas set to spend any real money on it.
Yea it certainly seems like he has no interest at all in his vinyl medium, and talks so much shit about it that I honestly don't understand why he even puts out music on vinyl now. I doubt those SKM albums will get repressed ever. I lucked up on most of my stuff by picking it up as it came out so I have two copies of that Xmas box but have less than $100 in both and one came with an autographed poster. Got that GOTGH when Aural Exploits was still open for like $30 I think? I remember thinking I was nuts when I spent $75 on three copies of April... If only I had known then how difficult it would get maybe I would have just changed hobbies hahaha

I'm getting there too. It's real hard for me to justify $100+ LPs, but some are too essential for me to pass up. I'm glad those RHP LPs got reissued, saved me a bundle.. I probably would've went for OPs after I finished up with my Sun Kil Moon collection.
It's one of those "only if I have to" things now. Hurts, but I am stuck at this point knowing I had some of the very costly pieces I need now once, but when you need a car, what can you do but sell what will bring you quick cash? I was down to only needing an OP of DCH, but let go of my Ocean Beach & Roller coaster OPs. And, my signed copy of Ghost of the Great Highway, which I still want to chew on a bullet for selling. If I had any idea people would be charging nearly $500 for a copy now, I would have sold blood instead or my guitars lol. You have a few pieces I need and seeing your collection makes me gnaw at my knuckles lol

Yeah I just picked up Judas Goats and Dieseleaters from them for $10 so $12 for 2x7"s was a little "eeeehhhhh" but in the end I was just too stoked for new Ed Gein.
I'll probably end up grabbing one by days end if this eBay auction I'm watching doesn't turn out in my favor. Trying to snag one of three remaining Red House Painters OP albums I'm missing for a decent price... I'm in that "fun zone" where all the items I need are in the triple digits now, so I can only pick something up every so often if I catch an awesome deal or can live with some slight jacket damage.

Yeah, I bought like 1 7" in 2016...until I saw that new Ed Gein.
At least Hex is REALLY good about their shipping prices. It was $2 for me.
Yea the $2 shipping is rad... still fighting in my head about it

just picked up that 5" pic disc split of the locust haha, the shop down the street has the puzzle 7" I've always kind of wanted one but I dunno about $15 want one
It's one of those "I am a staunch Locust fan so I must have it" items for sure. The puzzle ones have been spun once maybe, and the single disc black one is the copy I use on the regular. I'm at that pricing decision myself over the new Ed Gein 7 inch. I told myself stop buying them, but it is new and I really want it, but I don't feel $15 with shipping for it... Impasse....

Nice! I saw them in late 2012 and it was a very memorable show. We were right at the stage and the girl I was seeing at the time had to move because it was so loud that she felt sick, haha. Even had earplugs in.
I think the fog machines will bother me more haha. I figure if I can see The Locust and a few other heavy noise outfits in small venues and still have my hearing, I will be just fine

Thanks for mentioning Sunn O))) @jonrawks. Grabbed tickets for that DC show so I can catch them finally!

Unless is significantly cheaper (like a few hundred dollars less), it's worth it to me to pay a bit extra for direct flights or to keep layovers to a bare minimum. I realized in the last year or two that it's worth the extra money to avoid more travel time and hassle.
I can agree with you there. Flying is complicated enough and I feel slower the older I get so it's worth it to stay on one plane if possible

It's a five hour time difference, bit with the layovers I have it's gonna take me 15 hours to get there. I'm gonna load up my computer with every episode of Seinfeld to kill the time. Haha. I'm leaving Richmond at 2pm and getting into Boston. Then I'm flying into Ireland. Then I'm flying into London. The extra stop is what made the flight pretty damn cheap so I can't complain too much. I get in at 10am local time so it'll be 5am mentally for me. The Boston to Ireland leg is 6 hours so I'm hoping I sleep on that even thought it'll only be like 7pm when I leave for that part. Haha.
Connecting flights is a journey I can luckily say I have avoided so far in my travels through the air. That last leg seems like the perfect time for headphones & chill for sure. Seinfeld? Alright now Joey Bada$$... lol
-
Morning all. How many hours flying is that gonna be @Dave Grohl? I know you lose like 6 or 8 hours going ahead in the time zone change but I have always wondered how that equates to the flying time...

Good morning all. Just got my license back so my day is kicking off in a sixteen year old mind state lol

That's some poor customer service there, but at least you're getting it. Never fun buying new stuff with issues.
I figured it has something to do with me owning a phased out speaker line, but seriously, i sent the info the guy asked me for as soon as he emailed me the form to fill out. I honestly thought they just forgot about me so I packed the speakers away because it's a bummer hearing no highs on one side. I'm glad it was the bookshelf ones though and not the towers that had the issue.
-
Morning folks. Rain and barking dogs, because they can't go play in the rain.... fun way to wake up lol
Edit: Also, just got an email from Polk saying they are shipping out my replacement tweeter for one of my speakers I made a complaint about going out on October 31st... Only took until December 28th to create a shipping label and tell me it will be here by the 5th....

HR is in Philly this week, I am debating going. Not entirely sure what to even expect.
Seems either way it turns out, you still have a story to carry around with you...?

You are welcome, it was an enjoyable film. I personally think HR is crazy and I kind of feel bad that the other 3 rely on him being on point and not crazy to make Bad Brains happen. I do think their whole big boys/mdc incident take was BS but I do respect that he said "we grew and learned to love all people". Also I hear HR got diagnosed with some neurological disorder last year and his wife set up a gofundme
It's crazy to watch how frustrated and angry the other guys get with him over his "personality" if you will. But, you as well as I know, if he were different they wouldn't be who they are and for the reason they are.

Good day all. Just put a big pot of homemade chili on to cook for the next 5 hours or so. Perfect gloomy weather for hearty comfort food!
1 hour ago, NapalmBrain said:I got my fun thing early cause they accidentally activated it and bricked my old phone. I still haven't got used to the idea my phone isn't a slow piece of crap and I can actually download apps and use it as more than a gps/text device. Got some gift certificates I can buy records with, already used the amazon one and used my mom's prime account got the "new" Mike Watt "Ring Spiel" tour double live album that just came out for under $11 and Bad Brains s/t for $15 it was time to reacquire especially after watching the doc recently. My sister got me these record frames you can pop out easily to play, so I need to decide what 3 to frame
I'm looking into a new phone as well, because mine is newer but is so slow still. Time to move up to a bigger processor and a better camera. Thanks for posting the link to that Documentary also. I knew HR was off, but man, he seems to be on a whole different level of existence from the rest of humanity.. It was a trip watching the other band members get pissed with him and go to butting heads. Still not sure if he is touched or is playing a role...

I'm not ACTUALLY complaining, but it's always a bummer on some level to not get any fun shit on Christmas.
Like, my life is definitely improved by new pots/pans, socks, workout clothes, and coffee maker. But I'm not gonna put on a dozen socks and cook some shit tonight. Of course, it's all the shit I asked for, so like I said I'm not really complaining. It's just a thought.
In a few years my girlfriend and I are gonna upgrade our sound system for Christmas though, so that'll be fun.
Yea, but those cute ass cats in boxes pictures..... <3 <3 <3

Merry Xmas all. I went to stay with my mother last night and somehow came home with a whole cake and damn near half a ham.... Moms are so great

Anyone here have any words of advice for me seeing am I am considering buying a phone made by Huawei ? I've pretty much been a staunch LG person forever, but I need something faster that won't break my pocket and I found one with good specs for a decent price, but Youtube vids are too personally objective.
