Slug, Ant and Plain Ole Bill from Atmosphere came in and dug the crates and shot the shit with me and my coworker for like 2 hours. Awesome guys and they cleared out a bunch of obscure jazz, world and soundtracks that had been long sitting. I was a little starstruck I started listening to Atmosphere at age 18. Slug signed a copy of Godlovesugly for the store too. It's days like that I love my job, I went to the show but my feet were screaming, I was alone and I have to open the store this morning so I only got to see Brother Ali's set but it was really good, I saw him about 5 years ago and it wasn't nearly as good of a performance. Wish I had stayed and watched Atmosphere but I just couldn't muster the energy

Having a moment of fan boy jealousy over here..... One Minnesota, Two Minnesota, Three & Atmosphere... So jealous lol

It's not even the tattoo work that gets me, I just have trouble sitting for so long.  Even a 2 hour movie is hard for me to stay seated for, it's a large reason why I like to watch movies at home now.

The only nice part of having my legs or rear of my arms worked on is the fact I get to lay down the entire time so that does help. If you go somewhere that isn't trying to stick you in a folding chair you're lucky

Man, I get way to tired of sitting to do that long of a session!

I'm like a rock when it comes to getting worked on, so 5 or 6 or 7 hour sittings give me no fright at all. I let the artist tire out before I give in no matter how bad it's aching, but I unusually eat right after then sleep like a dead man. I think people that don't have large pieces have no clue exactly how exhausting it is getting that much done at once. Congrats on having such a good repertoire with your artist too @The Butcha. Even $125 an hour is scrapping the bottom of the barrel for decent work these days in most places. I was told Paul Booth runs somewhere in the $300+ an hour range...

WTF? Why should something think it's ok to just grab someone like that? I'd have flipped shit on her.

Not sure if Ryan has this problem, but people here will straight up try to grab my arms to look at my tattoos while I am in public. I can appreciate someone being interested and questioning is always gonna happen, but I fucking hate random strangers trying to touch my arms to get a better look. A friend warned me about that before I ever had work done on my arms and I didn't believe him to the extent it really happens.

I usually don't get eye strain, usually on happens when it's a really long day of it. I've done nothing but watch TV and youtube for a week now, so I just don't want to look at anything. This is annoying though. I feel a ton better, but I'm still super weak. Standing for even a few minutes makes me dizzy, and sitting up is not much better. My hands shake when I hold shit, and yesterday I could not open a container of soup. Returning to work tomorrow is going to be fun! Hopefully I don't crash and die on my way in, since driving is still a bit shaky. I've never had an illness make me feel this weak (that I can remember anyway), and I had pneumonia as a child.

Are you having trouble holding food down to help give you energy as well? I hope you feel better soon T! Not cool thinking about you getting hurt driving because of this sickness :(

I'm going on like 8 years on this prescription, been through a few pairs of glasses.  It's only become an issue in the last 3-4 months, but it's becoming more frequent.  I've just been lazy about it since it's not something I think of until the headache shows up

My mother has worn glasses since she was a child, and just last year had to have corrective eye surgery where they implanted permenant contact lenses and had two cataracts removed. Now she can see a mile away, but has to STILL wear reading glasses to see up close when she had perfectly clear up close vision before the surgery.. and all for only $12k...smdh

My goal for this year is to go get new glasses.  I'm starting to get headaches towards the end of the evening and I think it's probably due to too much screen time and eye strain.

Same here. I have needed new ones for a while, probably 3 years or more since my last eye exam, but they somehow keep getting pushed back in priority. My prescription hasn't changed that much honestly, but the anti reflective is pealing in 3 places on my left lens so I constantly think they are dirty on one side :(

Moshed last night and everything hurts. Some dude was randomly punching people for no reason, hit me, and I completely annihilated him. So that was funny. Twice my size and went down so hard he just left the venue when he got up

Bigger they are, yada yada yada...... Nice work putting him in his place!

I was going to go to that if I wasn't in London. Aesop is playing too, and I'm gonna miss that as well. Sad.

SO totally thought "Why the hell is it that he has to be gone to London right when I find a reason to go to VA!". What is there for me to do in Norfolk, I've never been there before. Been all over the rest of the state but for some reason never gotten to a show in that direction...

Lucky!  They're at a shit venue here, so I slacked on tickets and it sold out :(

I wish I had known sooner so I could have planned to go next Friday to the show in Raleigh, so I could save 2 hours of driving, but a mid week show usually means no shoulder to shoulder bullshit. Time to see exactly how "40ish" I feel at this one lol

Goal for the weekend is to not leave my house until I go to work on Tuesday (working from home Monday).  Once the temperature starts hovering close to freezing, I kick into hermit most as best I can.

Same here! It's 19 with the wind chill, and I just finished watching like 1/4 of an inch of snow fall on top of my flooded yard, then disappear... If you've got food, entertainment, and good brown liquor, no need to leave....

Huawei is good. Just make sure you look into software updates for the model you're looking at. Like how their new phone is shipping with 6.x and not getting 7.0 til Q2. Crazy. Are you looking into a new phone or new phone and carrier? You can get a Nexus 5x for $200 on Project Fi. Fi is no contract, unlimited talk and text for $20, and $10/gb. So damn good. Plus since they are Google phones they get updates fast, usually the first models to get them. I have a Nexus 6 that I've used on Fi for two years and it's still a champ. I'm about to upgrafe to the 5x cause it's too good to pass up. My old roommate just got it and loves it -- just switched to Fi too.

I was just looking at a new phone really. I've been with Straight Talk for years and really have no complaints about service, I've just always ended up with slow phones because I try to buy a year or so behind to save $. I'll link the one I'm checking out, and all the youtube vids I see say it's a good buy, but you tell me what you think @Dave Grohl

    https://shop.straighttalk.com/shop/en/straighttalk/phones/Huawei-Sensa-lte

Edit: Looked at the Nexus on Fi. Seems the same plan I have with Straight talk would be $20 more a month with Fi if I get 5 gigs plus the $20 basics. With tax mine is like $47.25 a month for unlimited talk/text & 5 gigs of data & unlimited wifi usage. Not sure how the $ back for unused data would change that figure though...

I know they made some of the old Google phones, for Project Fi. That's all I really know. If google trusts them, they should be good.

Cool. This way I can update for less than $200 and not get a piece of junk since I'm not familiar with their brand. The specs are really good for that price and are nearly double the speeds & storage of my current phone.
