Ugh I think I'm gonna have to snag this one - even though it'll end up costing twice as much as a new standard issue. I have the coke bottle green debut and have yet to pick this one up on vinyl.

Not familiar with either of those. I typically only order Warp stuff from Bleep.

i prefer the newer clark stuff even though last panthers was kinda meh. liking the new single. i'm in for the limited transparent.
I only listened to it once, just sounded like an ambient soundtrack and wasn't really my thing. I started watching the show but wasn't impressed with the first episode, and my girlfriend wasn't into it, so I didn't continue.

Has Bleep had other exclusives that turned out not to be? I don't recall any previous exclusives coming from Bleep - particularly on Warp.

If you're new to Clark, whether this song interests you or not, I would recommend these albums as top-notch IDM:
Empty the Bones of You
Body Riddle
Turning Dragon
Totems Flare
His first, Clarence Park, is also really good but you can tell he was very influenced by Aphex Twin and perhaps Squarepusher, having yet to develop his own sound.

Clark - Death Peak
Pre-order on bleep - standard black 6-panel gatefold vinyl, or Bleep exclusive transparent vinyl limited to 500.

Normally, as a longtime Clark fan, I would have jumped at that exclusive version, especially with a pressing that low. However, truth be told his last few albums haven't grabbed me the way his first 5 albums did. He had his own thing going and it was amazing. Then with Iradelphic and the most recent s/t album, it's as if he'd lost his magic. I can't tell from this one track whether I'll love the album or not - for the most part it's nothing special - it has a few nice things going for it and a nice ending. But I'm fine holding off and picking up a standard black in store if it turns out I really like it. I do miss my old Clark.
1. Spring But Dark 1:18
2. Butterfly Prowler 4:27
3. Peak Magnetic 5:43
4. Hoova 5:07
5. Slap Drones 4:18
6. Aftermath 2:01
7. Catastrophe Anthem 6:35
8. Living Fantasy 4:07
9. Un U.K. 9:56

A side didn't grab me immediately but the B side was more than enjoyable.
I felt the same after my first (digital) listen to the album yesterday. I got a sense that it was trying a bit too hard, trying to also be Ty doing T. Rex. I also got an Emotional Mugger vibe from it, and I also felt that album was trying too hard at times. I'll play this again but I don't think it's as good as the debut.

Don't get your hopes up for a pressing of The Eyes of Stanley Pain, Nettwerk won't seem to let that happen no matter how much Cevin tries.
Yeah I'm definitely not holding my breath. Bunch of dicks. Would love to get some Skinny Puppy reissues too.

well i paid over 30 with tax for mine in store, so factor in PP costs and inconvenience $40 aint crazy
Gotcha. Mine was $26 shipped from Amazon so it seemed a little out there. I haven't paid attention to what shops are asking for it.

Nice, I enjoyed both of those albums a lot back in high school. I'm not sure I want to spend the money on these as they wouldn't get much play nowadays.
I think I still have these on CD, and have all of the From the Vault stuff as well. Certain ones I would consider getting on vinyl. I really want the first two Download albums on vinyl, that's for sure.
I do have the Plateau Iceolator, Download III Steps Forward, and Involution s/t LPs that Flesh Eating Ants Records put out some years back. Beautiful pressings.

I don't normally go for 7"s, but I got this one. Great track.

Cool. I've only listened to Still Life of Citrus and Slime once, but I look forward to the new one. And will listen to the first one again.

Black is on backorder. More coming in a few weeks. So cool to see this thing is selling. More people need to own this album
Damn, people want $40+ on Discogs for black versions.

Got the Fake Train reissue yesterday. Haven't listened to it yet, but the sleeve is nice and thick cardboard and there's a one-page insert. Thick record too.

So, it appears your wish has been granted. My local store has a single LP reissue of Fake Train from Numero.
Indeed, I learned of this yesterday from one of my local stores. I tried to find info about the release of subsequent albums, but haven't found anything. I assume there's a plan for all of them, but I'm curious what the schedule is.

Only issue with my colored vinyl is the A-side label is a little mangled around the hole. Common problem though, no biggie. Sure sounds great! Unfortunately my girlfriend came home when I was only 1/3 through the album and not being a big fan (at all), the rest was played at lower volume while we prepared dinner. I'll have to spin it again tomorrow while working from home.
-
If I didn't know he recorded it, I wouldn't be able to tell. Nor would I assume it was produced by anyone other than Ty.
-
Got my colored variant today, will open and spin this evening if all goes well!
I haven't opened my standard black one from Amazon as I'm thinking of selling it. Not sure why I didn't cancel that order when the Analog Spark variant was announced. I guess I thought it was also limited in some way.
-
Ordered the limited color one. Gave each new song a listen, will not listen again until the album comes out. They were alright, but I have faith that the album as whole will be solid.
Didn't really look at the limited gatefold cover before ordering. I do prefer the standard cover.

I still haven't gotten around to their first one, but had it in my queue.

Because it doesn't officially come out until next month.
Huh! It was originally slated for release today, per the Midheaven PDF that is no longer available. Guess it got moved.
-
Gonna have to give this a spin today. I thought their first two albums were ok, didn't like them as much as others seemed to. "Less anthemic" and "More subdued" in parts might appeal to me.
-
"Warm Hands" alone makes up for Emotional Mugger.
-
Dammit, why isn't this on Spotify?!

Nahhhh. I haven't even been able to listen to either of the new songs all the way through. I'm not saying they are bad, they're just not offering anything interesting to my ears and maybe I'm just not in the mood for Cedric's yelling anymore. I'll probably stream this when it's out but maybe I won't even get through the whole album.
