  2. The second track Fate is up on Spotify by midnight. It’s actually a song called ‘18’ when they recorded it during Self Portrait session, as per this tumblr entry. https://lomablog.tumblr.com/post/130274139884 Can be heard at 16:08 in this old live set.
  3. Envy played a show in Malaysia last weekend. Still getting used to not seeing Masahiro Tobita on stage right. They played two new songs from the new album, A Faint New World and A Step in the Morning Glow.
  4. Found few entries but chose to post here since it's specific to Geneva.
  5. Yea I was expecting it to be up on bandcamp too. Maybe anytime soon.
  6. http://thrilljockey.com/products/ride-the-skies Lightning Bolt’s Ride the Skies sees a true classic from the band’s catalogue back in print for the first time in a long time. Arguably the first album where the duo first truly nailed their patented sound, Ride the Skies saw Lightning Bolt refine the auditory chaos of their self-titled debut into something much more concise and direct, bulking out pieces with more muscular sonics without sacrificing the sheer velocity and wild energy that made their first release so exhilarating.
  7. Haha will definitely do. So far I've only experienced one shipment mishap, when the parcel was clearly dropped resulting in a minor crack on the record. Since elvis said the way they packed this record is not up to standard, plus the size of this 4-disc LP and its thick cover, it'll be a miracle if there's no damage at all.
  8. Oh man now I'm worried. Still waiting for it to survive the journey from UK, but considering my local post office here in Malaysia is not that smart and reliable, I can't help but think of the worst. Fingers crossed.
  9. I know he's not as active as much now over here. But I'll give it a shot in front of a mirror anyways. 🤣 Not that long to go for you in CA.
  10. I wonder if @Dave Grohlis already all over these two new songs.
  11. Will be released on January 24th 2020 under Triple Crown Records. One song even featuring Kyle of Pianos Become the Teeth. First single Flowers of Light with b-side Barfly is up on Spotify at midnight. https://music.apple.com/my/album/on-circles/1485923749 https://open.spotify.com/album/0ox3znTxtUu4qkqW37r2Bc?si=K_P0npheReqg0ptDyBIIOQ
  12. https://www.thrilljockey.com/products/lightning-bolt https://lightningbolt.bandcamp.com/album/lightning-bolt "Long sought after, this record has not been available new on vinyl since its first pressing two decades ago. Released as a double LP, the second LP features songs recorded at the same time but never released before on vinyl. Packaged in a silkscreen wrap using the original design by Brain Chippendale, printed by Crosshair. Truly, a must-have for any Lightning Bolt fan."
  13. Yea I’ve edited the thread’s title. Hopefully there’ll be more news soon.
  14. It’s up. https://deathwishinc.com/collections/loma-prieta/products/loma-prieta-continuum-b-w-fate
  15. Wouldn't be surprised if the new LP is titled just VI, since it's their sixth record. haha
  16. I'm guessing it's the same MO like when Self Portrait was released. They put out Love b/w Trilogy 0 first, before proceeding with SP down the line. Can't recall the exact gap, but not that long between the two. Edit: Checked my email history, ordered Love 7" in July (shipped out in August) and then ordered Self Portrait in August (shipped out in November).
  17. "Continuum b/w Fate" is a new two song single from Loma Prieta, recorded by engineer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker). A-side "Continuum" is artistic editorial in the selfdamning that many face on a day to day basis. Playing as an examination of the perpetual motion that contemporary society demands of each one of us. Musically it glides infectiously with new depth and fuzzed out control. B-side "Fate" uses Pixies-esque lightness to veil the weight of its message before erupting into musical chaos. Here they disguise disgust with melody while singing "Drugs and God the same distractions / Lay on the dirty floor and stare at the ceiling, like it was a planetarium dome". Expanding their unmistakeable screamo approach into powerful Fugazi-like territory. Already up at a couple sites such as the one below. Update from DW imminent. https://shop.season-of-mist.com/loma-prieta-continuum-fate-7-vinyl
  18. Same. Ever since they posted IG story updates where they went to record at Atomic Garden months earlier, plus a screenshot of dropbox with #LOMA2019, I knew they’ve been sitting on it. About time.
  19. New single must be the precursor for their next LP thru Deathwish. Already on Spotify when it hits November 12th. https://open.spotify.com/track/4lXx8UTcZcHEcci9C3OUac?si=ua0rvs5DTqCq3w-nJFNfDg https://deathwishinc.com/collections/loma-prieta/products/loma-prieta-continuum-b-w-fate
  20. Talked to Nicky from Nothing when they toured South East Asia recently. He said he’ll most likely be Whirr’s tour manager and planning to bring them to my country too. Doyle also said the Whirr LP was meant to be out earlier but the place where the records were stored was hit by a hurricane or something, and got damaged.
