  1. Yes, bought a retail copy yesterday. Sounded fine to me. No skipping, one section of ticking that I didn't investigate but will today or tomorrow. I'm satisfied.
  2. I was wondering what the CAD price was going to be. Picked it up from a shop in Alabama and after shipping and exchange it's just below $40CAD. $54 is absurd!
  3. Someone in the Facebook group asked someone at the show and was told no, apparently.
  4. Hopefully you weren't the guy who spent the entire show trying to push me over with your entire body weight for absolutely no reason. Great show though, other than that. Really happy I lucked out and got last minute tickets.
  5. Yup - Got the invoice the day after the concert where they were selling the EU colour for $25CAD. Fuck. To be fair half the invoice is for duty and HST, which I can't argue with.
  6. Yeah, the booklet had some great old photos and interesting background explanations for each song. That's a shame, but I'm still stoked.
  7. Good update. I got my shipping notification late last night, I assume two weeks until Canadian arrival. How is the insert/booklet?
  8. Same thing happened on reddit yesterday. I will presume it was the same person, and they either didn't properly read the shipping email and notice it wasn't for the vinyl, or they're just looking for delicious internet karma by being a dipshit. Edit: nevermind, I missed your original post, but think your post was about the reddit post? Ignore me.
  9. Ok, so I just ordered Ups and Downs. Now that it's done and I paid $18 shipping for a single lp, I expect all other variants to be put up online sometime today.
  10. Mine is at the Fedex depot (not one home yesterday), so I'm going to go grab it in a few minutes. I've been listening to the digital files for the last few days and oh shit this things is great. Cop Just Out Of Frame, Lower Order (A Good Laugh), When All Your Fears Collide, and Nigredo are at the top of the list for me. Also, there are so many sweet bass licks throughout this album - someone mentioned they were disappointed with where the bass is in the mix. I find it cuts through nicely on the digital files. Really impressed with Todd's playing. Going to spin this all day while wasting my day playing my new SNES like a straight up child.
  11. THIS ALBUM IS LIT AF. Can someone tell me who the best drummer is and why is it Jord? King's Road EU vinyl should arrive to me in Toronto on Tuesday, gonna rip it loud. Well done Propagandhi.
  12. If anyone in Toronto can't wait to hear this thing when it's released on Friday, the CD is on the shelves at Sonic Boom right now.
  13. So this worked out pretty well. Sleeve and vinyl were a bit grimey, but played remarkably well other than a little click for a few rotations on side b. Also, in the same spirit of my initial message, I seem to have a knack for landing 2003 Vagrant emo at good deals: In Reverie, $20 BIN, $4 shipping. Hopefully condition is as good as described. Deals exist if you're a deadbeat and can check ebay frequently.
  14. If I have something that isn't on Discogs and I want it to be catalogued in my collection, I add it to Discogs.
  15. I signed up for both DF and Discogs at the same time when I started cataloguing and caring about my record collection after over a decade apart. I immediately found DF to be an entirely unacceptable website and to this day my head spins when people take such strong pro-DF stances. DF was an objectively poor quality databasing website and I have yet to hear a cogent negative complaint against Discogs but I am listening. If you're not the only person looking for such extensive cataloguing capabilities, then it sounds like you've noticed a new opportunity. If you can code and database, I'd recommend you give it a go. Since Discogs is for music - I don't think anyone is suggesting it as the solution for your music collection, plus your anime, Viva La Bam DVDs, Bartman comics, and fidget spinner collection. But seriously, if no one is making what you want (and it sounds like you looked), you should think about making it. This is fascinating to me. It sounds like you don't know how to use the filters built into Discogs despite it is so intuitive and easy. You can filter by different options which should cover nearly anyone's needs, plus choose how many items to show per page (up to 250), and change the page layout between three different views - large covers, text with covers, and text only. Using the filters can get you alphabetical and text only in a matter of seconds. To your complaint about difficulty in putting a collection together in discogs, it is a databasing website and (un)fortunately data quality is important so we're going to have to deal with the extra few seconds in choosing the actual pressing we have and contributing to the database. Seriously, spend a few minutes on the site clicking on things. If you still cringe about it, then learn how to use excel.
  16. Just because they're classics doesn't mean they aren't garbage.
  17. I made this post on Reddit because they needed the fine print pointed out, but I think I need to post it here as well. If you're emailing the people who sent your pre-order confirmation ([email protected]), they aren't involved with the CD's and honestly don't have any idea. The CDs are coming direct from someone with PMT I believe.
  18. Still checking the mail box everyday, still nothing here in Toronto. I'm hoping this week or next. Canada Post of slow. BUT, I also had my 2006 Demos cassette not show up. Which, at the time sold out and many wound up on ebay selling for 3x-5x the price. All it takes is one USPS or Canada Post employee hip to how valuable this CD is for it to never arrive.... packaging marked PMT and CD sized? No tracking? Yoink. Anyway, enjoy your CD while I rant like a paranoid asshole!
  19. I'm in for three pre-orders so far and will buy the standard locally once it arrives as well. Excessive!
  20. There is a bass and drum rhythm during a verse in one song that sounds like In The Garage, and people are being dramatic calling it a rip off. Don't know the STOLEN AND PLAGIARIZED Alice in Chains bit though.
