  1. Yep. Dance Pretend is down to one copy. 12 Daydreams left.  Holding on to a bit of a tiny reserve of both just in case there are any issues with damage or whatever, but those will probably end up going to band members/friends/etc. if they're not needed.

Jackets should be in-hand today. Records tomorrow. Gonna be a long weekend between these and the PINK GUYS lathes I gotta package.

  2. For anybody into dumb limited releases that are cool but don't sound great (aka people who buy lathes), check out these ones that we just cooked up over at Forge Again Records. Stream/buy them both NOW at http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com

PINK GUYS - 2343 10" clear lathe - 12 songs, 19 minutes of pop punk goodness. limited to 27 copies with full color foldover sleeves, full lyrics and chords on the inside so you can play along. Includes nice high quality stereo download to go with your mono mosher hunk of plastic. Gotta take a better picture of this, but just imagine a 10" record on clear vinyl with full color labels that look like the cover.

PINK GUYS "GIMME SELTZER" B/W" "HOLD THE TONIC" 5" clear square lathe - 2 songs, our hit single "Gimme Seltzer" on the A-side with a sneak peek at our next album 1471 with "Hold the Tonic" on the B-side. This comes in hand-made seltzer box packaging (we drank the seltzer at practice, and then some. Let's just say we could have pressed more than 26 of these). This guy is FREE if you see us in person or included for free if you buy the 10". Download is free too!

  3. oooo I'd buy that real fast.

This and JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS. The only two soundtracks I'd even consider buying.

Basically, Adam Schlesinger should be allowed to write everything and Kay Hanley should be the only female singer allowed on anything.

Other dumb old shit never on vinyl that I'd buy:

    Letters to Cleo - Go

Letters to Cleo - Wholesale Meats and Fish

Letters to Cleo - When Did We Do That?

Fountains of Wayne - Welcome Interstate Managers

The Cardigans - Super Extra Gravity

    A Camp - A Camp

    Smoking Popes - Destination Failure

Weston - Return to Mono (preferred) or The Mass Albert Sounds (I guess this would be ok)

Hagfish - Rocks Your Lame Ass

Represses that it's stupid haven't happened yet:

Knapsack - This Conversation Is Ending Starting Right Now (I tried....Alias stopped responding to my emails 5 years ago)

Knapsack - Day Three Of My New Life

No Knife - Hit Man Dreams

The Cardigans - Long Gone Before Daylight

If I wasn't wasting every penny I had (and plenty I don't have) putting out records for small time bands trying to do new things currently and not just some 90s major label stuff, I'd probably bother Letters to Cleo about hooking me up with somebody to do those records. Too bad the one people would probably want the most (Aurora Gory Alice) is the one I like the least. Not out of the realm of possibility one day. Hopefully someone beats me to it and I can just spend $40 instead of thousands.

  4. Looks like we'll be hosting the new songs on the Forge Again bandcamp. First one is set to come out next week and the others shortly thereafter. Will put up a pre-order deal soon. If you ordered either record, you'll just get an email with the DL code as soon as it's ready.

Keep those orders flowin'. You'll get the new jam sooner than anyone else!

  5. Awesome news! I already own these but I may still order these new pressings.

Also, this gives you the chance to fix the spelling error of the word TRAGEDY from TRAGETY on the back of the D.P.F.D. sleeve haha

    Thanks Justin!

Awesome thanks for spreading the word. I never even noticed the typo until just now. Definitely need to fix that. Thanks for lookin' out.

  6. In honor of Fordirelifesake deciding to "reunite" at this year's Black Christmas celebration at the Majestic Theater complex in Detroit (see: https://www.facebook.com/events/388221721333951/?ref=22for details), they are not only releasing 3 BRAND NEW SONGS they just recorded, but we're also going to repress both their most recent (2004) full length  Dance.Pretend.Forget.Defend and their discography A Daydream DisasterWe're hoping the records will be done in time for the show, but worst case they'll be shipping shortly after the 1st of the year. Both records will be limited to 100 copies and will once again feature beautiful silk-screened jackets and colored vinyl. We tweaked the color scheme a bit for both. Check em out below. If you want to order one of these fine items, please visit http://forgeagainrecords.com/fdls2015.phpto order one or both. Shipping is included in these prices. And did we mention that if you order either or both records you'll get a FREE download of those 3 new tracks as soon as they're available? Methinks this is a no-brainer.

For those unfamiliar with Fordirelifesake, simply click the links below to stream these records. They called it quits in the mid-00s but have popped up again here and there for a few reunions and are apparently even recording some new stuff. Members went on to play in bands like Boys Night Out, The Suicide Machines, Hellmouth, Isles and Glaciers, The Receiving End Of Sirens, Rebel Spies, and the A-Gang. And they played in Mycomplex, Bottomed Out, Rescue, etc. etc.

  7. Probably should have posted this here a while ago, but my side project band PINK GUYS did a cassette with pretty full color covers and silkscreened shells limited to 25 copies of 12 songs we wrote, recorded, and mixed in just 5 weeks called "2343."

We have uhh one left. Anyone want it? We're getting lathe cuts made that'll be considerably more expensive but hey, we went through the trouble of re-mixing the entire thing in mono and re-mastering it. So that'll be fun. Meanwhile you cassette collectors might want to snag the last copy of the first press of this guy. $5 ppd in the USA with DL of the entire jobber.

Anyhow, go ahead and order that tape. Maybe we'll make more at some point if the demand for them is there. I expect it to shrink when those lathes hit.

We just finished tracking the instruments for our 13 song follow-up "1471" which should be done soon. Working on vocals now. We'll make some tapes of that too. It's uhh pop / indie / punk stuff? Listen for free!

  8. Oh, I'm not saying this is a scam or an untrustworthy label. I'm sure it's done with the best of intentions. Just tough to deliver on a long-term project like this if you aren't very prepared for it. Do you have all 12 songs recorded and ready to go? Or at least the first half? Do you have a production schedule with the plant so you aren't going to get stuck waiting for 4 months for one of them?

If you are actually sending these out as postcards (and not in a mailer or envelope of some sort), I would highly advise saving about 10-20% of the pressing to replace ones that inevitably get completely destroyed and/or never show up. These things are not durable and really are meant for promotional purposes, hence not really caring if they get a little dinged up in the mail. If someone paid for it, they'll have different expectations and there are some SERIOUS punishers out there.
