The Child Bite/Dope Body split is a hot one. And good news....there's another split LP coming from Child Bite (4 color silkscreen jobber) and ????? on Forge Again Records THIS MONTH. Release show is Sept 27th in Detroit. Announcement coming tomorrow. Will put up a pre-order next week (official release date is in October, but they'll ship on the 30th after the show).

I encourage everybody to order this from either HT or direct. If you're placing an order with HT anyway...throw it in! If you're looking for some other quality jams from Forge Again (Child Bite, Old Gods, Tight Phantomz, etc. etc.) ....come on down! I am cool with people picking it up no matter where they get it...

Again, this IS the Hot Topic one. Same exact record. /270 or so. Black vinyl, same labels as first and second press. New covers. The good news is that the songs from You Are My Canvas are all on this LP...better recordings too!

Sure, people are entitled to pay whatever they want for it. I have no problem with that. Just saying it wasn't worth $30 for me personally. I wouldn't enjoy the record $15 more because the vinyl was green instead of gold. Maybe there are some people out there who will.

Except that I've never once seen a Diarrhea Planet record on eBay. Out of the 3 listed on Popsike, two are test pressings. And the one that wasn't was the Aloha 7" and it went for $36. Once. The point is that calling a poster and a sticker a "package" worth an additional $15 is ridiculous. I agree, $15 isn't that terrible. It's not great, but at least it's not $30. I'll just wait until they come around. I'm not really sold on the new album yet from what I've heard anyway. I've noticed more and more bands selling LPs for $15 at shows. Pretty wild, but I guess gas is like $4 per gallon now, so what can you do?

I like this band's early jams a lot. Price completely deterred me from buying it. $30 for a single LP, poster, and sticker is a joke. Those are free throw-ins, not like a fancy print or anything. Stickers cost like 10 cents. Come on. Will wait for a sanely-priced version. $15 before shipping is still a bit nuts. I bet it doesn't even have an insert (the last album didn't).

Ok, the band is breaking up (singer is moving back to Michigan), and the LP is pretty much out of print. I have 3 copies left. The band has like 7, but they have plans to play final shows in Chicago, Detroit, and Dayton still so those will get wiped out. Whoever orders the last 3 copies will get a free copy of their 2nd LP "Haunter" and their self-titled CD debut thrown in for FREE.

UMG owns a lot of labels. Universal, A+M, Interscope, DGC, Def Jam, Motown, Vagrant, Drive Thru, etc. etc. Plenty of great stuff in the back catalog. This is still pathetic.

Because if you don't have working capital, you can use the money from the pre-orders to pay the bills and press the record you're selling? I am not saying this is a GOOD way to run it, but it's an excellent reason WHY people do it.

Yep, all the orders placed as of right now get prints. I think there might be 3 or 4 left. I'll probably take that particular info down tonight so nobody gets bummed.

Last call on those prints. Also placed the final shirt order, so those quantities are pretty limited too now.

Just a heads up - a couple of people have had weird shipping issues. If you are in the US, this should only charge $5 for the package deal for shipping, $3 for just the LP, and I think $2 for the CD (though I doubt any of you are ordering the CD...). If you see $25 or $17 or whatever in the shipping and you are in the US, it's wrong. Just log out of paypal and Bandcamp, then sign back in and it should work. Still a few prints left....

They did mention it was a preview of a NEW album being made....so that's new, I guess. Always preferred J to Lou....but that's totally awesome for JNR. Solo projects and live albums are one thing....an actual new Sebadoh record? I wonder if he had to donate a kidney or bone marrow or something:)
