Yeah, not sure how if they sent you a delivery confirmation and sent it to the correct address they could possibly be at fault. You're basically asking them to shoulder the entire burden of the missing package despite the fact that they took all necessary precautions. Maybe ask for another copy at their actual cost (rather than retail) instead of demanding they re-send it to you for free?

I pre-ordered the Bandcamp version a while back when it was only $12. It's up to $18 now. Saw this in a bunch of stores last week. Wonder if I'll ever actually get it.....hmm....

All cooies have shipped! I am in Europe but that wasn't the problem. Bandcamp wasn't sending me emails for the ones that they kept the commission on, so 3 or 4 slipped through the cracks. Three songs from that recording were re-recorded for Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses (and the recordings are much better on that). The fourth song, Anatomy of the Journey, is on the vinyl re-issue of Broken Bones that I put out (same recording) and a re-recording was done on their first album Make Yourself Sick. Definitely preferred the original version of that song. In other news, there will be some more copies of Broken Bones soon. Black vinyl. New color covers. 275-ish copies. Later this month.

Ok, so I finally got these. I have no idea how to decide who should get what as there are way less copies than people who expressed interest. 4 copies of Enter (records are mint unplayed, covers have some minor corner wear, etc. - nothing big, but they're not perfect) - 2nd press on red/black half/half 7 copies of Upper Ninety 7" (6 on greyish purple junk, 1 copy that's straight up turquoise) 5 copies of Dakota/Dakota "Shoot In the Dark" LP - in plain white dust sleeves. No inserts, covers, etc. but I could include a CDR (From the original mastered WAV files...not MP3 bullshit) of the full thing (including the 7" songs that aren't on the LP). (these would be cheap) Anyone have any idea on a fair way to divy these up? Come at me bros.

Nobody remembers the controversy with the "Vinyl Collective Collective" pressing of this a few years ago? Huge backlash, tons of people were pissed that this is what they pressed (though really, they should have been more pissed about Virgil keeping all the money from everything) and they were practically giving these things away towards the end. That said, I dig the record but I bought it off of one of the "collective" members dirt cheap. I tried re-issuing the last 2 Knapsack LPs (one was originally a 2x10" for some reason) a few years back. Got a response from Alias, even, but they stopped responding after the initial offer. Ah well. I still would like a copy of both of those records but no way do I want to spend $50 on the damn things.

Permanent Records is a physical retail store in Chicago. METZ played an in-store show there last week, which is how they probably got these copies in the first place. They have an online store, but much like Reckless (www.reckless.com), people come into the store and buy things and hey, those people get priority. My guess is that somebody beat you to the punch by leaving their house and going to an actual record store to buy it. I know it's rare in the year 2012, but it happens. You can't expect them to police their online inventory so that when 10 people who didn't give a shit about the rare version of this record for however long the pre-order was up suddenly buy it at the same time (likely just to flip anyway...) they INSTANTLY run out onto the floor and take all of the copies out. My guess is they do it end of day. No reason to get all butt hurt because they didn't set the exact correct number in their inventory. Solution: order the regular version of the album or go see the band play live and buy it from them.
