  1. Last time I went to Record Breakers, it was insanely expensive. Everything was $2 over retail. Brutal.
  2. I hope plenty of you are gripping that OLD GODS LP that I put out. That's beyond cheap for how awesome that record is. Full color jacket and insert, silk-screened LP.....at 40% off that's like $7.20 and no postage.
  3. Another record priced to download.... $20 for a single LP before shipping. Why is this $5 more than the other single LP they put out by Metric?
  4. This is a promo version of the first OWTH 7" sent out to various labels/zines/etc. It has been played once (probably 10 years ago when I got it) and has sat in a big bin of demos ever since. Doesn't include the regular sleeve, I'm guessing there are probably only a handful of them that survived. So yeah, I guess make an offer? It'll ship in a well-padded LP mailer so as not to further fold the promo thing. If I don't get a decent offer, I will just Discogs this business over the weekend. Come at me, bros!
  5. Saw it for $33 at a store today. So stupid. A 2xLP better be pressed on fucking fine China for $33. Absurd. They said the regular single LP version was backordered.
  6. Might be of interest to some of you. Some crucial 90s jammers from Detroit. Limited to 500 copies on clear vinyl or CD from the dudes at Quite Scientific. Stream the record here (and link to buy it if you are so inclined): http://fawn.bandcamp.com/ Check out the music video for NO WAVE: http://noisey.vice.c...es/fawn-no-wave (jams out at the end)
  7. $75 each for The Cardigans - Gran Turismo and LIFE 180g test pressings (Simply Vinyl pressing). I think I won an ebay auction for $40 on a Braid "Frankie Welfare Boy Age 5" 2xLP test press back in 2000 or so and actually ended up only having to pay $20 for it because I had a friend pick it up and he actually knew the guy selling it (Billy from the Traitors). I don't think I've ever paid anywhere near that for any other record.
  8. $12 for a single LP with minimal packaging. If it's over 1 lb, a little more. Maybe $14-16 for first class.
  9. Entire record is streaming on their site now. It's ok I guess. Definitely not buying the 2xLP for $36 though. Will wait on that.
  10. Damn, about 6 months late on that Fountains of Wayne LP. It was like $20 BEFORE shipping when it first came out. Probably sitting on a ton of them as a result.
  11. So did they tighten things up? People said it was like when Chuck Berry almost died on stage a couple years ago playing here. The band was tight but Skiba was a joke.
  12. No mention of the amateur hour performance? I didn't go, but if you are talking about the Chicago show, I heard it was hilariously bad. Bush league for sure. I don't see enough sets by "big" bands or whatever that end in total disaster. Sometimes that's more fun than a good one if it's in the right venue (the bigger the venue, the better the failure). It's like going to weddings and just rooting for the groom or bride to no-show, or someone to say they object to the wedding or something.
  13. Bumpin' this for the new site. Completely out of XL and 2X shirts. Only a couple M and L left as well as a few S and one XS if anyone wants this package deal before it is gone 4 EVA. This comes out technically next week but it's obviously shipping now.
  14. Karl doesn't post on here, but I'll pass the message along to him for you.
  15. 1000 copies of Make Yourself sick lasted a lonnnnnnnng time for VC, even with 2 variants. Which is why I was gonna do 500. Haha.
  16. Haha I ordered a copy. Probably should have just waited and gotten one from the band (if they ever get any).
  17. Nope, as mentioned after this post, pressing records here isn't cheap. I wish I could sell a 7" for $5-6, but it costs me (even before paying the band) close to that to get to the final product (pressing, freight, customs fees, expensive Australian printing for the artwork)... Sorry guys, I just do what I can. Damn, that's nuts. Wasn't implying that you were ripping people off, just that it was crazy expensive. I guess if you're on an island, what can you do? Even if you pressed in the USA and imported them you'd probably get tagged with customs fees. Goofy.
  18. $11 AUD (approximately $10.75 USD) before shipping? Yikes. Did you have to buy them out of their Sony contract or something?
  19. Facepalm on the fact that these are going to be re-issued as CDs too. 241 used copies of FILE UNDER: EASY LISTENING on Amazon from $.01 right now. But hey, Copper Blue only has 70+ copies starting at $.27. Oof.
  20. Everything is done and should be in Chicago on Wednesday. Out of town from Sat-Wed, so if you want it shipped before the weekend, last call!
  21. Cool, I might actually order a record from Hot Topic for once. Haha. Not surprised the band didn't know about it. They were totally down with me doing the record a few years ago and I passed along what contacts I had to other people looking to pursue it. Ferret/WEA/whoever wanted a lot of money. I said no, offered less, never heard back. Couldn't really get any response from the people at "Ferret" since the label doesn't really exist at this point. Cool that Travis was able to get it done, I guess. Buying one copy as opposed to 500 or so is going to save me a considerable amount of money in the long-run, so no complaints here:)
