  1. Borrowing money from the record label against future royalties? What an absurd concept. I've never heard of such a thing. This truly must be a music industry first, just like having children!
  2. Good band. I agree, that new song is a bit strange. I saw them last fall, and they really didn't sound much different from their previous stuff, so it might just be an oddball.
  3. Get on this while you can. I have about 15 copies (and need to restock a few stores locally) and the band has less than 20. Don't sleep!
  4. The Kickstarter failed, so it's a moot point. I thought it was for the Say Anything tour, but whatever. It's idiotic either way and I'm glad there was only $60,000 worth of idiots out there willing to fund it. Frankly I'm surprised they didn't put up the other 40K themselves. I am going to go out of my way to download this record instead of buying it. $18 single disc LP plus $8 shipping should be illegal. Especially when asking for $100K besides that.
  5. Hmm, maybe they should be staying at home with their newborn babies instead of touring. Maybe they shouldn't have all gotten pregnant at the same time like a bunch of cult weirdos. Then the grandparents could watch one kid for 2 months instead of 5.
  6. I like this band but I'm losing interest quickly after that Kickstarter. Who are the kidding with that crap? It's not like they're playing free shows at churches (even if they are a bunch of religious cult goofs) and homeless shelters. They're playing huge shows in every city. They're getting paid plenty and they're selling a lot of merch on a daily basis. How did they tour BEFORE Kickstarter? Well, looks like it'll be the same way this time around. Idiots.
  7. Music video premiered on Loud Loop Press today! http://loudlooppress.com/media/watch-hospital-garden-play-ball/
  8. International shipping is absolutely awful these days. $28 ppd. to the UK or anywhere else in the world (2 copies would be $48....so it'd only be $24 per copy if you have a friend who wants one). $21 to Canada/Mexico. $15 in the USA. All of the options are available on Bandcamp.
  9. Yep, got the regular black vinyl version of the 12 reasons LP. No bonus, no note...just the record in a jacket. No big deal.
  10. Modern Vinyl showing some love. Does one of you guys do this site? http://modern-vinyl.com/2013/05/06/hospital-gardens-latest-now-on-sale/
  11. Anybody want to PM me a link to DL the 12 Reasons to Die MP3s? I downloaded it in Germany while on tour and put it on my iPod, but now I'm home and the DL link doesn't work anymore:( Shit, either that or recommend a reliable, easy to use free iPod ripper.
  12. I bought a Euro pressing of this a few years back. Not sure why they are touting "first time on vinyl." Definitely not the case.
  13. Yo dudes. I am putting out a little LP from an awesome Chicago by way of Dayton, OH by way of Jackson, MI band called Hospital Garden (I did a split 7" with them and Destroy This Place last summer). They're an awesome 3-piece with both male and female vocals. A real 90's alt-rock throwback. Their third album Mover features 11 tracks and the first press is super limited to somewhere around 100 copies on marbled blue vinyl with full color covers and labels. Just $15 including postage in the USA because profits aren't punk. You can stream the entire record and order it NOW! Anyhow, don't take my word for how awesome it is. Check it out now here: http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/mover If you want to see them live and pick up the LP in person, they're playing a nice little record release show on May 18th in Chicago @ Quenchers w/Destroy This Place, Meatwave, and Geronimo! here is the Facebook invite: https://www.facebook.com/events/285600068234952/?fref=ts
  14. I'm sure they'd be down to play there on their next east coast tour if you hooked em up with a cool show. Get at em! childbite at gmail dot com. No idea where you could get the DD/MM/YYYY split. I think they have a bunch of the Big Bear ones left, but the rest are gone. I have one of the TMIBH splits I got from a distro return so I threw it up on the bandcamp (if anybody is looking for it).
  15. Never too late. Awesome bands, awesome dudes, and they don't get enough love. Both tour a ton and have lots of awesome recent releases (Dope Body has a brand new 7" on Drag City, Child Bite just released a new 12" on Joyful Noise that combines two 10"s that came out recently) so get deep on those awesome bros! Thanks for checking it out!
  16. Thanks dude. We are very happy with it. Third press is readily available through the bands and the website. Second press might be a bit trickier. I don't think any copies got out to distros. I know Dope Body sold all of theirs in Europe, Child Bite moved theirs fairly quickly and I only had a handful for mailorder on that press.
  17. Realized I never bumped this when we got the third press. Also, I have 4 copies left of the 2nd press of The Living Breathing Organ Summer (blue w/black vinyl - very dark and looks black unless you hold it up to the light). Band has a handful, but these are pretty much gone after the European tour. http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com to order em both.
  18. For the collector types, I know for a fact that there are only a handful of copies of the Monomania 10" left, and those are likely being sent to the band to sell at shows. Unless you're somewhere that they're gonna be (Detroit, really) in the next month or so, you should probably get on that through Joyful Noise ASAP before it goes out of print. I think they are almost out of one of the colors of the Vision Crimes 10" too. Also, the third press of the split 12" with Dope Body is available from both bands and through Forge Again mailorder (you can listen and order here: http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/child-bite-dope-body ). We sold a ton of them in Europe on that tour and Dope Body has a significant chunk of the copies, which they will likely sell in Europe as well this spring. If you are looking to cop the FIRST pressing, here are some places that I personally stocked with them and should definitely have it: reckless.com - 1 copy roboticempire.com - 1 copy torjohnsonrecords.com - 2 copies (can't remember if they restocked or not - but they did have first press copies originally - might want to ask them) Pirate Ship (see link above) had 1st press copies too. No idea if they already sold them and restocked with some 2nd or 3rd press copies through Dope Body, so I can't speak as to which those are.
  19. The Child Bite/Dope Body split was repressed a couple months ago, FYI. 159 copies on "pizza" colored vinyl. http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/child-bite-dope-body
  20. I dunno man, something about a $15 record that comes with a $135 chunk of concrete seems uhh a bit much.
