  1. Scott, would you like my personal information, and emails I traded back and forth with Andy, to help illustrate to you how a general patron like myself, was shafted and ignored. Like I said earlier, my loss is minimal compared to some of the other companies and patrons that were ripped off, and unfortunately I'm not a financial success story thats going to be on Forbes magazine. There for I'm not in the position to hand out $50.00 over to anyone, with nothing in return. And for you to post about the dudes personal problems, as it should make us show some kind of sympathy ? We all have personal lives, and go through our own devastating events, so please refrain from the pity party attempt to ease tensions on Virgil. Basically your word at the end of the day is all you have, and Suburban Home Records owner Virgil can't even stand by that. So why the fuck are you in here trying to minimize and negate the destructive manner in which he handled his business, and clientele, regardless of the parameters, amount of cash that is due, or over all deceit he created.
  2. Read the bolded part, now read the rest of quoted users comment. Don't know who you are Scott, and don't care, but keeping your word means something to some of us. Obviously not to you. It's a coward move to dodge people you've made promises to, or have blatantly ripped off.
  3. I got screwed over by SH records as well. Not nearly for the amounts others on here were burned for, but I was promised in store credit, and some of my items to be shipped. They never were, I was in fact even in email communication with a guy named Andy. But nothing ever materialized. And my issues simply arose from a few things I placed an order for were actually out of stock, but listed as in stock. I never got store credit or any of the items I paid for. They just kept my money.
  4. seconded. send your tigers jaw collection immediately to maxnadz, jacobraccuia. I mean Adam, I mean recordhound, I mean scam artist. This thread completely outs you. Your life in the record business, and collective community is dead.
  5. Adama the record whore is still up to his petty tricks it seems. And now has enlisted at least one soulless like minded individual to help blur the lines of truth and deceit on here to maybe repair some of his reputation. Recordhound dude the gig is up, you've been outed, and there is nothing that you can do to fix the situation. All you should do now is send back people their records, and money. And understand after doing what you should of done to begin with, before trying to rip off a vinyl collecting community, you're now being exiled. Good luck in life you crooked minded scam artist.
  6. Yes i'm bumping this up again, somebody anybody help!!!
  7. Really ? there probably was some kind of struggle with the songs, as cometbus usually leads the lyrical formulation and over all aesthetic for his bands he's in. And same can be said for Blake. I thought together they would of made one of the best bands ever, and were on the cusp of doing it, but it imploded. I would really like to know what caused that, and what caused Caroline the forgetters ex bass player to quit the band. Something strange in the water...
  8. By the way I'm also looking for some old school Hickey flyers, anyone that can get me a few originals that would be epic!! cheers. And everyone order this pre-order, of one of the best underground punk rock bands of all time. 1234 GO has done it again, essential release!!
  9. yep, great set, they were good live, but for some reason didn't pan out. It seems very quiet on the forgetters front for me. Definitely worried. Hope this doesn't turn into another Thorns Of Life situation. Keeping my fingers crossed.
  10. My favorite fest that I've never been to. Wanted to go so bad last year, the line up was stacked with the best of the best. Descendents, Cock Sparrer, Stiff Little Fingers, Dropkick Murphys, Undertones, Bouncing Souls, American Steel, Citizen Fish, Off With Their Heads, Leftover Crack, Aggrolites, Filthy Thieving Bastards, and the list goes on. I highly doubt this year will match last year, but still the overall event seems amazing. I've been wanting to attend this sob for years.
  11. bump, please tell me someone out there can help a PBF out!!
  12. This guy sucks end of story, and I find very strange that so many of the records he's sent gets lost. Especially when I know of plenty of labels that ship hundreds of items/records/etc out, and nothing gets lost, and if they do, they take care of it with in a very timely professional manner. Anybody here that defends this guy is an excuse maker. This community needs to shine a bright light on the scammers and hold them accountable, not give them 50 million excuses to keep peoples hard earned cash, and never send them their stuff. And for him to send you something you didn't want to begin with is hardly making up for a transaction. The guy should just of refunded your money back,. Business 101 is something this guy skipped out on, and instead took all your money, straight to his bank account, and laughed all the way.
  13. I've been trying to find this information out myself. It would be a real disappointment if the forgetters called it quits. they have a lot of great songs, but it seems the wheels on all these recent blake bands are getting derailed for one reason another. I still have no idea why thorns of life didn't stick around, i was really into their songs.
  14. Blake has been on repeat stating this will never happen, and one of his major concerns, or reasons seems to be his voice wouldn't do the songs justice, and the band would be a shell of it's former self. I kind of do see where he is coming from if that is really true. It's like when a great player retires, but returns and their talents have obviously diminished due to the passage of time. Sometimes it's better to let something truly special to live only in it's most primal out putting, and original state. That being said, Long live the recordings of Jawbreaker. Blake will always be my all time favorite composer.
  15. As someone who buys vinyl on here, it sucks to see a bad situation like this just get worse, to the point of no return. You were all obviously scammed, and the money you earned and spent on items you will never receive is gone. Sucks big time, hate to see it happen to anyone.
  16. I'm looking to purchase the POLAR BEAR CLUB The View, The Life EP , however I'm only interested in the Blue vinyl version, that seems very difficult to find. I'm willing to pay a fair price via paypal ASAP. thx! Sickteen
  17. oh yes!!! i'm all over it, count my cash in your hand now!!! monday can't come soooner!!
  18. I saw At The Drive In on their tour with The Murder City Devils. Both bands blew the roof off the building. It will be interesting to see if ATDI will continue to Hang the state flag of Texas up at their gigs, and if they will be able to muster up the same punk/grunge destroy the stage and body montrosity that they use to play with. hopefully the magic is still there. A lot of bad blood and negative stuff came out after ATDI broke up.
  19. Finally got one orderd! Will be picking up more stuff from the store in the future. Can't wait to play this record on vinyl!!!!!
