Dischord keeps their prices low. Motherfuckers put out a press release letting people know their prices were going up from $11 to...$14 with a month's notice so people had time to get orders in at the lower price.

Dischord will not steal your money. Dischord will not fuck you over. Give them a little while to put that shit in a box and go to the post office. It wouldn't surprise me if they went to the post office with orders once a week or once a month or something. Remember, labels (ESPECIALLY fucking Dischord) aren't Amazon. There arent hundreds/thousands of people working 24 hours a day to put your shit in a box. Dischord doesn't pay the USPS extra to get their shit out around the clock. I'd say a month is a reasonable amount of time to wait before bothering them.

Edit: HA! I'm am asshole and can't remember the difference between Dischord and Alternative Tentacles for 5 seconds. My bad, but still...give those motherfuckers a minute to do their shit.

Hahaha. I was thinking “this is one hell of a tangent!” I’ve ordered from Dischord though and it went smooth.

Patience Grasshopper.  AT have been in business for a long time.  Guessing they probably wouldn't be if their M.O. was fucking over the customers.

No doubt.  Which is why I simply asked if this is typical. If it is then fine.  No big deal. But you know everyone has to be a forum tough guy and talk shit (not you).

In the past I have ordered (somewhere different) where the order didn’t roll through the system but PayPal was executed. After contacting they realized they didn’t have an order but did see the PayPal. Shit happens.  Hence my question.

You placed an order a week ago and sent the an email, instagram message and called them?

That is the most insane thing I have ever heard

    Also right on the FAQ

    Q. Hey, what gives? I placed an order on your website on Wednesday and now its Monday and I still haven't received it?
    A. Most of the orders placed ship within 72 hours. Sometimes when we have a sale we get a few more orders than we are accustomed to and it takes a few days longer to process all of the orders despite us working more hours to try to catch up. Also, we don't work on Saturday and Sundays due to religious commitments and hence that may add a day or two to your waiting time. And on a few occasions we may be out of an item, like a book or t-shirt. Sometimes that takes time to get back in stock. Please be patient. If you need to know the status of your order email Mailorder.

After 5 days sure. Why not?. It’s not like I went early Monday morning. I waited 5 business days and then tried to contact.

  4. Last weekend I ordered an LP from the webstore. Great price and I like going to the source. A week on I’ve not heard a peep. Email, phone, instagram all have messages thatve not been answered.

I know the store is legit but I’m wondering if I should cancel via PayPal or if this is how it works with them.

Shipping from them to me is 3 days. So even if it took a couple days to package and ship I should still have it.

  5. I have a couple that came autographed but then it wasn't as cool as I though it would be. I think had I met them and gotten it I would feel more nostalgic about it.

But thats me. And I'll be trying to have Peter Hook singing something when I see them next year (and hopefully won't be crying like an 8 year old girl while he does it - Joy Division is a big deal to me).

  6. I just gor the Yamaha AS501. I'm struggling with it so far.

The top end is fantastic. Smooth and sharp and fast. The bass is not however. I am running efficient speakers (92db) and there is very little. I hooked up my janky old HT sub and it put much of it back. I'm mentally struggling with having a sub since my speakers can really throw some bass out.

I hate to admit it but maybe the ugly ass Marantz was the way to go. I don't know. I have time to decide but I'm losing sleep over this.

That's because In Case.. isn't the true live recording of the show, it was partially re-recorded in a studio and overdubbed to the moon and back, including re-recording and replacing all the vocals (most evident on Thieves which Ogre sang at the show but on In Case... it has Al's vocals on instead).

I saw them on this tour and had countless bootleg tapes of the show including this one (though nowhere near the good sound quality of this new LP release). It always pissed me off how much of that In Case... record was bullshit re-recordings and I've always hated that record as a result.

Needless to say I'm ecstatic with this new live album which is the true live recording of the show. I happily forked over the cash for one despite the crappy cover art.

I never knew this. Now that I think about it, Ogre did do the vocals and the ones on In Case were definitely not his. I must be losing it....

The Catherine Wheel - Ferment MOV reissue is up for PO at SoundStage Direct:

Order quick if you want to snag one of the /1500. They tend to go quick when SSD has any MOV releases.

I got mine yesterday. Love it!  Supposedly MOV is also doing Chrome. I am equally excited for that.

Got my copy yesterday.  It's nice to have the complete show, but I'm a little underwhelmed to be honest. Can't compare sound quality to the recent MOV repress of In Case... but this sounded flat to me.  And for the price, I would have expected a bit nicer presentation.  The vinyl is 145 gram, and the sleeve is fairly thin.

Did yours ship out of California? I got tracking today but no idea what for. I was guessing this.

Nice collection, thanks for sharing. I have a bootleg CD I got in the 90s that has some of these covers including Skinny Puppy's Smothered Hope. Don't recall what others, but the sound was shit.

So is this a straight recording of a single show? Not a collection of different live tracks from different shows?

I agree the cover art sucks compared to In Case...

Tempted to get one of these but still not sure. I love In Case... but maybe because it's a manageable length.

Its the complete Indiana show that was recorded and subsequently released (partially) as In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up Live.
