  1. You should have said: "Maybe because they invented it!?"
  2. Yes! Yes! 3 dates confirmed: May 8 Karlsruhe – Substage (Germany) May 9 Groezrock Festival – Meerhout (Belgium) May 10 Münster – Skaters Palace (Germany) I will definatley be travelling down to Belgium...
  3. "Beer: The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems." Last night I drank me a 75cl bottle of Leffe Blonde: Our southern neighbors (Belgium) sure know how to brew ' em! Right now I' m popping open a bottle of Jenlain Ambree, French beer... The French are better at making cheese and wine, but this beer is pretty good, slightly sweet brown beer 7.5%. My dad always brings a carload of these up from France...he goes there a lot, and always brings me a couple of bottles. Cheers!
  4. I went to see 12 Monkeys on shrooms when it came out a while back...that was fun. I remember buying the tickets and waiting for the movie to start was almost more of a trip than the movie itself hahaha.....The movie was fucking weird, i remember the subtitles were moving up and down like a wave, haha...I saw the movie sober later and it was soooo different...I wonder why?
  5. Ecstasy... I have had some good times and some bad times with that shit. I'm from Holland, so wat Columbia is for cocaine, we are for ecstasy... or used to be. The last couple of years production has shifted to eastern europe (under Dutch supervision of course), but a few years ago like 80 to 90% of the worlds E was produced in my motherland. I did a lot of that shit in the mid to late 90's. Back then it was almost all-good, pure MDMA, sometimes mixed with a little speed, but no crap. If you have some good shit, the rush is great and lasts a few hours...if you have crap....it's a fucking nightmare. I have seen friends turn into fucking wrecks because of drugs...so be careful! And make sure you buy the shit from someone you know, someone you can trust (but can you really ever trust a drug dealer?) A few years ago I was at a festival, we had been drinking almost the whole day, then did some coke and wanted more...but my dopehead friends had taken everything the night before. So one of us went to get some stuff at the festival ....he got some E's and we took them, but they were shite....i had the worst fucking nightmare trip, was convinced murderers were after me and beat up my friends and even punched some girl who walked by. I though I was in Hell and was I was dragged to a security post (after hours of doing insane stuff) and when I was a bit sane, I got kicked off the festival....on fucking friday (the festival was 3 days starting friday) I missed some great bands cause of that (including At the Drive-in ) There was some shit on the news about bad drugs and PCP and tranquilzer laced E's at raves and all kinds of crap, I probably had taken some of those... After that I quit drugs....Alcohol is the only thing i touch nowadays....I get panic attacks when I smoke weed (tried it once or twice afterwards) and I used to smoke the stuff religously from age 17 to about 25 so yeah, be careful...make sure you know what you're getting (if that's at all possible) and do it with friends....and never ever buy that shit from strangers at festivals, haha! ...oh yeah, and I mailed a friend in Canada some E's once....he got them, that was cool...
  6. American Steel - The Rougue's March American Steel - Jagged Thoughts American Steel - Destroy their Future I'm fairly new to this band. I had heard the name before, but always thought it was some ''Manowar-like American Metal band" haha. I read some good reviews on their latest album and picked it up, and damn, I am liking that record. Then I picked up, or loaded down, their earlier albums...and they started growing on me. Last weekend I went record shopping in Amsterdam and picked up jagged and rougue's.... basically, I'm hooked on this band....
  7. According to my list: 95 7" 's 5 10" 's 192 12" s grand total of 292 records... and about 500 cd's I still have maybe 25 to 50 records that I haven't put in my list (mostly stuff my dad gave me, classical and classic rock)
  8. I've been using the name Jochert ever since I got my first e-mail account back when my dad got us a 56k dial-up modem and an internet account in the mid 90's. My name is Jochem (impossible to pronounce for English speakers, so in English I say Yoakum) In Dutch my name sounds like the word Yogurt, except the RT on the end is an M. People have called me yoghurt all my life, first to make fun, but I didn't give a shit, so it stuck. Nowadays almost all my friends call me Yogurt. Sometimes when i'm at the dairy section of the supermarket... people say "Yogurt!", and I look up and say " Yeah?" and they look at me funny while grabbing a carton of yogurt. Haha so, long story short: Jochert is pronounced Yogurt but spelled like my name edit: and no x's cause I like beer
  9. Why should'nt you use paper sleeves? I read something about it on the internet a while ago, but I can't remember. Something to do with the acidity of paper or something? Is it really that bad? Should you go through the hassle of replacing all paper with plastic(lined) sleeves?

  12. I was never really into Sonic Youth. I liked some of their 'catchier' songs like 100%, that we're on the radio and tv in the 90's, when grunge was exploding... Then I borrowed my brothers 'Daydream Nation' cd a few months ago....and I loved it, damn, that is a great fucking album.... I like AM! and HWM though, please don' t smite me ...Musical Taste is a weird thing....
