  1. A motherfucking water heater...$1250. Having an old house sucks sometimes, but its better than no house.
  2. Will E. Whitmore's releases sound fantastic on vinyl
  3. I can't help it, I still refer to them as American Nightmare..... For a while their flyers just listed them as "AN" then "American Nothing". When I saw them at Skatefest ('00??) in Worchester I couldn't tell when they were playing because of the stupid name change. BTW "Backround Music" one of the best albums ever. just sayin'
  4. I'm with you on that.... but I have the day off today so I'm listening to Hale/Wollard split right now.
  5. That shit was unbelievable...... every pitcher on their roster must have been shelled.
  6. I think it was the Toasters in Charlottesville, Va. at Traxx..... I think I was 16. Damn, I used to go to a lot of ska shows.
  7. If anybody is interested, its in great condition in original box with original packaging and manual. Looking to get around $50 + shipping (negotiable). If someone wants to trade, I'd be up for that too. Just figured I'd ask here first.
  8. I was quite jealous when I saw it go for a price that I could've afforded.
  9. Whoa, double team. No fair. Do I have to get my wife to start posting to get my hands on these tests?
  10. Are there variants for Satiate? Am I missing something? Where'd you obtain the Dixie test? I'm full of questions.
  11. On ebay last night? I bid on that, obviously I lost. Got Up in Them Guts 1st press for $9ppd not bad. Also just scored Avail /young pioneers split 7" for $5.
  12. The only AVAIL stuff I'm missing: Avail - Who's To Say - Gold Vinyl (with monkey stamp) - Sunspot Records Avail - Who's To Say - Gold Vinyl - Sunspot Records Avail - Young Pioneers - Split 7" - Lookout Records and a couple of comps You want to get rid of that Dixie test?
  13. lil Jimmy Norton and Patrice O'neal = hi-larious
  14. EVERY release: Tim Barry Avail at least 1 of each: against me drag the river chuck ragan the draft hot water music
  15. There is a rather large list of unspeakables I'd do to own both Tim Barry test presses. Just sayin'
  16. YES! same tradition in my family. we'd spin that record soooo many times. A few xmas' ago I found it on CD for $5, I got one for myself and sent one to my sister for old times sake. such a good record. Nice!! I just picked up another copy in excellent condition to retire my worn copy, looking foward to the day after Thanksgiving when I can give it a proper listen.
  17. John Denver and the Muppets Christmas album...... kinda silly but I can remember my Mom spinning it the whole month of December every year when I was a kid. This record gets played 1-2 times a day up until Christmas, my kids love it....and they don't even know who or what the muppets are.
  18. Off the top of my head.... Avail / American Nightmare / Hot Rod Circuit '02?? Richmond Va. Alley Katz. Drove 14 hours to hang out with my old friends from Va. That night they took the photos for the back cover of "Front Porch Stories" Myself and one of my friends ended up on the cover and liner notes. Come to think of it every avail show I went to in rva was some of the best times I've ever had.
  19. I can't believe nobody mentioned "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"!!
  20. For $299 people really like this one too.... http://www.needledoctor.com/Pro-Ject-Turntables-Debut-III-Basic-Black?sc=2&category=46
  21. I was actually going to buy this exact model. I think that everything is fully adjustable, and it has a built-in preamp. It's more of a dj style table, but all the reviews I've read it seems people really like it. As for the cart, I think its a middle of the road AT... fairly easily upgraded I'm guessing. The only reason I did not buy this is because I found a Music Hall MMF-1 for a few $$ more. Good luck and if you buy it let me know how it sounds.
  22. Everybody I show that pic to mentions the "birth balls" poster, its pretty entertaining to read when you got 8 hours to kill.... I didn't even think of the avail connection (no pun intended) We named him after his grandfather. Thanks for the kind words.
