  1. It seems like footage is cut out to me. I think Cameron is a hack, but I also think the "fan" came off like an asshole.
  2. Really digging Coyote Bones. +1 ! Also, I'm going to have throw out a suggestion for Adam Arcuragi.
  3. I normally only download Daytrotter sessions when it's a band that I'm familiar with. If it's a band I don't know, and if I have time, I'll try and check them out, but for the most part, there are a lot of sessions that I don't give a chance. I'm trying to go through and check out some of the past sessions, but it's a pretty huge list at this point. So, if you use Daytrotter, what are some bands you recommend people check out? I'll start off by suggesting The Acorn's sessions.
  4. 1. The Riot Before 2. American Steel 3. Fake Problems 4. The Bouncing Souls 5. The Loved Ones 6. The Martyr Saint 7. Against Me! 8. Sam Cooke 9. Weezer 10. Mayer Hawthorne
  5. I haven't gotten a chance to see the Road yet, because much like any other movie worth watching, the Regal Cinemas here didn't get it. Hopefully I'll get to see it soon as I loved the book. Also, I saw that some of you were saying you'd like to see Blood Meridian turned into a movie, but that you didn't see that ever happening, so I thought I'd post something I ran across while browsing Wikipedia. Dunno how much merit this has, but still. "A film adaptation of Blood Meridian, written and directed by Todd Field[19] and produced by Scott Rudin, is tentatively planned for a 2011 release." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cormac_McCarthy
  6. I am so damn jealous! You have the greatest best friend ever! Also, I completely agree with everyone on the socks and stuff being a great gift. I got socks and boxer briefs and was legit excited about it because I've been putting off buying both in hope that I'd get them for Christmas. I also got the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Live Anthology. It's seriously amazing and if anyone is a Tom Petty fan, do yourself a favor and get this set. Merry Christmas everyone!!!
  7. First off, when I opened this thread and saw the picture, I legit laughed so hard that I started coughing, which then led to me almost vomiting. Comedic timing, Jake... you have it. Secondly, 2010 is the year of the beard for me. This year, I started to grow a pretty nice one, but ended up having a moment of weakness, and shaved . My friend and I are thinking of trying to make a calendar with a picture of a great beard for each month and change the names of months to stuff like "Novembeard". We figure it will be motivating.
  8. Now I have no idea where the perp was on the night of the 27th. The very night his girlfriend was out of town! The Neko Case duet is pretty amazing as well.
  9. Haha, I remember seeing that shirt. I get that shit all the time, though. I have one of the devils from Alkaline Trio's Sun Dials ep tattooed on my forearm and I don't even know how many times I've been lectured on how sinful it is.
  10. This. I can't get over how hooked I am on this album haha.
  11. I get that same shit when I wear a Thursday shirt, a Brand New shirt, or a The Who shirt. You can headbutt them. It's perfectly acceptable behavior.

  14. Just beat Assassins Creed 2 yesterday. Such a good game. I have a few more feathers to collect and a couple glyphs to find, then I think I'm 100% done with it.
  15. Shank him. It's the only way to really resolve this issue.
  16. Out of curiousity, what's the program with the white skull looking thing?
  17. Bouncing Souls, Loved Ones and Black President at the Grog Shop in Cleveland. The Loved Ones were just amazing and lived up to all expectations I had... and then the Souls... jesus christ... I've never been to a show where the floor became such a crazy ocean of bodies. People were just going insane and it felt like the whole building could, at any time, uproot and take off to sail the seas. I can't wait to see them again.
  18. Manchester Orchestra - Mean Everything to Nothing Chuck Ragan - Gold Country Lucero - 1372 Overton Park Mayer Hawthorne - Strange Arrangement Fake Problems - Its Great To Be Alive "Gasoline" by the Bouncing Souls is definitely my favorite single this year
  19. I had my 360 sitting on top of my tower, took it off, and the burner seems to be working fine now. Thanks.
  20. I bought a new computer last month and the only problem I;m having with it is that the cd burner is unreliable. It burns dvd's every single time without a problem, but out of probably 30 attempts, it's only burnt three cds. The rest of the time, it burns the first couple of songs then the rest get an error message and the drive tray won't open until I restart my computer. I got a lens cleaner and ran it, and the cd I tried to burn after that worked fine, but now it's back to not working. It's getting pretty damn aggravating. Any advice?
  21. Me and a couple guys decided we needed to go to an IHOP at 3 in the morning one night and the closest one is about 90 min away. So, we head that way and about 30 min into the drive, we blow a tire. I get it changed since both of my friends are apparently man-challenged... but, as we start to head back home, the fucking spare blows out. It's hilarious for a few minutes until we realize what time it is and how hard it's going to be to get a two truck out here, but after a few minutes, we get ahold of one that can send a truck out within the hour. My friend mentioned that there's three of us, and the guy says he can only take two back and that no, the third guy cannot ride in the car being towed. We try and talk the one guy into walking about 20 min down the road and wait at a Wal Mart until we could come back and get him, but he wasn't going for it... so, we hid him in the back of my friends car, which is a Jeep Cherokee, and covered him up with random clothes and all that shit. The tow guy gets there, and hooks us up and we're on our way. He kind of gives me this weird look and says, "Wasn't there three of you?" I tell him we found him a ride, and I could just tell the dude knew we were lying. We made it back though and everything was fine, but our friend said it was probably the scariest thing he'd ever done and he was just waiting for it to come unattached haha. I've never really had anything horrific happen, though. Other than one time when I had my car towed to a tire shop, and when I got there to pick it up and pay, they had charged me for three new tires, even though I only told them one. When I asked why they put three new ones on without asking me, they said the tow guy told them that two others looked like they could be changed. I was pretty pissed off, and after a few minutes of fighting with them, I ended up keeping all three tires, but pretty much got them for the price of just the one add a few bucks.
  22. That looks damn delicious! Sucks that for me to get any good beer, I have to order it offline or drive a ridiculous amount of miles
