  1. True story. I was drunk last night and saw that online (for seeing Aaron's post). Checked it out, it's apparently quite real. And then I did the "Buy it Now"...So, yeah. If you want to trade holla at ya boy. I'm a fan of Hold Steady but not a huge fan...and certainly there are more deserving people than me.
  2. I'm about as org-core as I care to be and I have no tattoos (band or otherwise) and I own no flannel shirts and no headwear (wait...I do have a black baseball hat). Still, I need a scene.
  3. Just as I knew you'd be lured in to me sensual clutches like a moth to a flame...I mean, you got any test pressings ya wanna sell? :-*
  4. Psh..whatever Ben. Totally let me down. It's not a bad idea even though I'm probably like a "scratched 7" found on the highway"...I still got love.
  5. I basically shelled out for the test pressings I got, but I'm working on getting more current stuff (like yet to be released or coming out), which is slightly cheaper. Once a band is popular (like the Rumbleseat one I bought) it's not going to be cheap. But I did get ones for Fifth Hour Hero and This is My Fist for like $25 a piece I think. I was stoked.
  6. Sunday, at the Arms show at Bottom of the Hill? Eh, me...Chicken was there. That was cool. Bob from Shinobu showed. Other than that, not much I can think of.
  7. Be happy they required a signature, I've had some packages delivered via FedEx that didn't need it and it was much worse. Apparently, the driver thought my front porch wasn't safe so he threw it on to the back patio of my complex (yes, threw, because there's at least 5 feet thick of bushes around my back patio). At least they left a note on the door the first time saying "Check back door" (It's not a "back door" by the way, it's an enclosed patio with a 4' tall fence and no entrance or exit to anywhere but my apartment). The second time they just threw it back there and left it for god knows how long. I didn't go outside because it was raining. Yes, they left my package outside in the fucking rain. Luckily, it wasn't something vinyl related or there would have been blood.
  8. Not to hype this thread, but it actually is pretty funny when people do the "Shut Up Dante". I've met a few people who actually are acquaintances now and they admit to doing it, so I can't be mad.
  9. I like that the regular edition is limited to 3,000 while the special edition is limited to 2,500. For a band with fanbase as large as theirs 500 isn't that amazing.
  10. I'm mostly offended that you associated "fags" with liking Paramore. Somewhere (probably close to me in proximity ) a drag queen just screamed out in pain for no apparent reason. True story: Yahoo radio used to have a station called like, "Gay Club Mix" and let me tell you, that shit ruled.
  11. I want to post something but I don't want to give away Garrets t-shirt idea. Anyhow, I did mention on my awesome blog that I totally developed a man crush for ya Ben...but, uhm that was secret. damn
  12. This is why I have a dog. A tiny dog, but a dog nonetheless. Why would I want something that has the ability to climb on top of bookshelves, behind heavy objects and under the bed and is just as likely to shit in all of those places?
  13. Canada: Will it ever stop not surprising us?
  14. That's what I would have thought but they weren't. The 2003 ones had that written on the sleeve. These were from the 1997 and were going for $100. Of course when I asked about it they said it was hard to keep track of all the Fuel test pressings because they had so many that were wrong. Likely the ones on sale that day were of that bunch. Of course, there may have been a miscommunication.
  15. Funny story, No Idea had a Fuel For the Hate Game on Cow spotted for $250 at the Fest. I considered it but decided to pass. It was more than twice the test pressings...insanity.
  16. Go with something less focused.. Maybe, something like "Repress", "Limited pressing" "Limited color pressing" "Picture disc" "OOP First pressing" "Test Pressing"...I don't know. Or McDonald's characters...I call Grimace forever!
  17. No idea does some odd color distinctions. I got a copy of the OWTH/Dear Landlord split at the fest and it looks purple (1/675) as all hell but the slip inside said pink (1/25)...so I call that shit pink.
  18. I just genuinely feel they weren't ready for the constant heat they face from everyone. Reporters who didn't know who they were before this album are suddenly grilling them about anarchy and DIY. I've met the band a couple of times and interviewed Tom twice and both times he's been really rad, but that's because I tried to avoid that bullshit. I can see (very easily) how he looks like a dick but it really just seems like he's tired of the same 5 questions being asked 100 times a day.
  19. I'm obviously a little slow, since it took me nearly a whole day to find a thread about me...Yeah, I'm some douche from Punknews, that's about it. I thought about having a different screen name but I like this one and I figured using another would be confusing for me and I'd eventually get figured out anyhow. Anyhow, I think I met Aaron at the Fest...And I think he was awesome.
  20. Exactly what I've been talking about for months now. So excited. I actually think I bored some people recently with my explanation of why this idea is so good.
  21. The first Mr. Hood was a single vinyl, while the reissues (or at least most I found) have been double vinyl. The double is probably better but as a collector I'd like the original. For Operation: Doomsday there were two pressings. The original was on Fondle Em' records. When Fondle Em' went under there was a short repress by Sub-Verse. Both are out of print, but the Fondle Em' is still considered more valuable.
  22. who was there? Justin from Punknews (who I talk to when he lets me), most of the Fat staff, apparently Joey Cape. Just seems everyone I talked to went on Saturday.
  23. Figured I'd post something that wasn't Refused or Kid Dynamite related. I've been getting into old MF Doom ever since my friend got me Operation: Doomsday (the Fondle Em' pressing) as a gift. If anyone has any KMD stuff let me know. I already have: Black Bastards What a N*gga Know And Black Bastards Ruff and Rare. I'd be interested in buying or trading for any of their other stuff.
