Yeah, I kind of went off in the Cave In thread, but that's how I feel. It's like people who complain about the cost of tattoos. It's not like people DIE from not getting some gay tattoo. Either collect records or don't. They're expensive sometimes, live with it. Yeah, I remember when buying records was cheaper than tapes or CDs. Hell, it's one of the reasons I got into records in the first place. But shit's not like that anymore. These are fetish properties and they demand higher prices. And if HH can make a little more money off these things (and I doubt they are raking it in) good for them. Better than giving your dough to Sony or some shit.

I'm bummed that the new record won't be coming out on vinyl. It was going to, but I guess breaking up has put a damper on that. It's so much better than the first one. Sounds a little more like BSF in places.

He's fine with that. It's how he reads most everything: on audio. And he said people shouldn't be apologetic about it either. I love that he's not a diva about that. I've read most of the 100 greatest books of all time, most on audio.

It is fantastic. Totally worth it. It has the two songs from the GSL 7" plus unreleased songs from those sessions.

I have a vintage SL 1700 and I love the shit out of it. I wouldn't use anything else. Plus I have a guy that repairs them for like nothing. I just wish I had a place to set it up right now.
