  1. I'm guessing they all sound pretty good. I have one of the early pressings of this and IT sounds great, so I'm guessing a 200g remastered version is awesome.
  2. I accidentally bought an extra copy of this today. If anyone wants it let me know.
  3. I've always liked the iMic / Final Vinyl combo. Although I've never understood why you have to save and export every track you create.
  4. I always choose black because that's how I feel inside.
  5. I can't eve remember the name of the thing, there's so many of them now. But there you have it, it's out. Has some great players on it.
  6. There's been a lot of info on that site in the past about sample rates, good and bad mixing and production. A ton about the whole compression and artificial loudness problem. Good stuff if you're willing to wade through a shitload of "What's your favorite Deep Purple bootleg"type of comments.
  7. That's all blasphemy! Get those crazy baptist nutjobs over the right away with their signs about how fags are destroying America, PRONTO!
  8. I gave my mail carrier $50 this year. She does a great job, never puts my shit in the sun or leaning against something so the records bend. It's worth the money for that kind of service.
  9. Yeah, it's expensive. But that's how it is with record collecting. Buy the ticket, take the ride.
  10. Not a huge fan of greatest hits comps, but I love the Randy Rhodes Tribute Album and I'm sure it's been pressed.
  11. I have that Isis Record. It's pretty dope. I think I have two actually.
  12. where? This is what threw me: http://store.circasurvive.com/2010/12/21/blue-sky-noise-vinyl-deluxe-2x-lp-pre-order/ The Deluxe LP photo with the track listing broken up like that made me think the second record contained the EP. Clearly I'm wrong, but you can see why that's confusing can't you? Especially since a lot of people thought the same thing. Either way I bought it. Good record, good band, alternate artwork, black vinyl. What more can you ask?
  13. The email I got made it seem pretty clear that "Apendage" was on the second LP somewhere. Could be wrong, but that's what it looks like.
  14. I was once scammed out of an entire month's paycheck because the accountant at the company I worked for embezzled a whole lot of money. We were employee owned so it pretty much destroyed us. It took me about six years to get my money back. So I feel for those who were scammed. I would have done it if I had the money just to support Virgil who I always THOUGHT was a straight up, honest guy. Guess I was wrong.
  15. Thanks. I just hit them up to see if they had any left and they said no, but there's always SOMEBODY that changes their mind. Dude said if I was serious, if someone balked, he'd let me have it if I paid right away. So I made grabbed it. No regrets.
  16. Each record has a heavy-stock outer sleeve and an inner paper and plastic inner sleeve.
  17. You know there's two ways to look at this. First, yes, they may have had a lot more to give and it can be a bummer thinking of what might have been. But second, I truly believe it's better to burn out than to fade away. So many bands exceed their useful life and you wind up with a bad taste in your mouth about their entire existence. It's the same reason I detest reunions. Just let it go. When it's over, it's over. To me, the best things about bands breaking up is the rad stuff the members do afterwards. If Fugazi hadn't broken up there'd be no Evens and Guy probably wouldn't have done the phenomenal things he did with Vic Chesnutt. And to the guy that doesn't like Fugazi: Good for you for stating what is surely an unpopular opinion to many. I personally don't care what music you like or dislike. It's simply a matter of taste. I am, however, sorry that you don't feel what I feel for this band. I know people say this all the time without much thought, but Fugazi really turned my life around. When I was a kid I was headed down a path of drugs and self destruction. Fugazi made me realize that you can be different, have unpopular opinions and still be proud of yourself. I became a much more confident person because of their influence and resolved to move away from the tiny town I grew up in and make something out of my life. I became a very successful music journalist. Oddly enough, the very first paying assignment I ever got was to Interview Ian, and he did not disappoint. I also watched the Instrument DVD over and over during a time in my life when I was so broke I couldn't afford cable, a car or anything else. I just had that video and it never got boring. Thank God for Fugazi.
  18. It's never been pressed, so technically not a repress, but I would LOVE for someone to press the second Porno For Pyros album. Also the final TAD album, "Infrared Riding Hood." I absolutely fucking hate it when a band releases every single album except one on vinyl.
  19. I guess I got the last one HydraHead had. Just barely made it. I know what you mean though. I already own all their albums. But I think this is a cool collector's item, just to have.
  20. Anybody get this? I just got one reserved and I'm pretty stoked.
  21. I'm totally dumbfounded by this. I've never met anyone who doesn't like Fugazi. With all sincerity, can you tell me what it is that you don't like about them? Also, did you ever see them live? And have you seen "Instrument?"
  22. Vintage Pioneer headphones. The cool thing is these were my dad's so I grew up listening to music on them.
  23. I really can't understand. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you don't hear me complaining that Women's Wear Monthly doesn't have any clothing ideas I can identify with. That's because it's NOT WRITTEN FOR ME!!!!
  24. Whatever you do don't spend it on that three-record Rival Schools package. I'm all about capitalism and making money and all that, but this is just nasty. Buy the new Maserati LP. Also, buy any White Hills stuff you can get your hands on. That band is incredible.
