  1. thrift stores are the best. I hit this particular one at least once a week.
  2. Fuck Brent, I would have bought it from you if I'd known. Maybe I can cancel my Interpunk order since it's a pre-order.
  3. Picked up a Men at Work album and Flipper's "Generic Album" today for $1.99 each. The Flipper had all the inserts plus the cash register receipt from a calif. record store from 1983. Cool finds. I'm a big Men At Work fan by the way.
  4. It's pretty good. I think it will get better. But it's certainly not yet up to par with any of the actors' other shows.
  5. That is awesome. I'd love to hear "Season In the Abyss" on vinyl.
  6. This kind of thing happens all the time in Colorado.
  7. I could find no information on this album on the Magic Bullet page or anywhere else besides Interpunk, so I ordered it from them.
  8. Good things lions are apparently afraid of water. Who knew?
  9. Have you seen "Get Him to the Greek?" There's a scene where the girlfriend offers him sex to stay home. So he's like "ok, I'll have sex with you if you come to the show with me." Of course that didn't work.
  10. I got it off Amazon from Acoustic Sounds. It was shipped fast, super-well packed and I got free shipping on my next order if I order direct from them. Can't beat that. I think I paid $19.99.
  11. This kind of got derailed. Does anyone have the mp3s they can send me?
  12. The Gorillaz vs. Spacemonkeys is really good, but the CD won't rip. It's got some sort of copy protection on it. I have the LP as well but my record player is broken so I can't rip analog to digital.
  13. I got this one vinyl but no download. Anyone got the mp3s they can send me?
  14. Good kid. There's only one occasion I can remember where I wish I'd ditched my wife to see a band: Cave In on the "Jupiter" tour. We actually went to the show, but she stood there, pouting for like an hour because she didn't want to be there so finally I just left. I've seen them plenty of times before and since, but that was a great show from what I've heard.
  15. Her take is probably "you're going to be gone, watching bands for a long time, why can't you spend one last night with me?" Girls love to do stuff like this, and take it from me, ruining a meal like this one will break her heart.
  16. Totally. Any time a band espouses an ideology or strong opinions on political issues they are automatically held to a ridiculously high standard for their personal behavior. Just look at all the shit Fugazi has dealt with over the years.
  17. Better than the Fear, with Ian slam dancing in front of the stage? Come on.
  18. Rob Avery>Robert. He did a lot more than just play bass. He's an amazing songwriter and guitarist. That's why they weren't the same.
  19. sounds good!! just hit me up whenever you get a chance I think he was talking to me.
  20. Yeah, it's kind of weird. Not as weird as Aquarius though. That's a whole production.
