  1. Yeah, I actually took the $2 Acrid LP out of my shopping cart because I was "spending too much money"
  2. FYI - it looks like the following site is streaming an entire Baroness show on their site for today only. http://www.woozyfly.com/
  3. Do you think they screwed up the pressing numbers? Seems like a lot of people are getting the clear.
  4. #25 for me. I only listened to a couple songs (and liked them) before I got this. After listening to all of it i'm not too impressed.
  5. Heck yeah. The CD discography is awesome. What Happens Next discography on vinyl would be great as well.
  6. Saw Jawbreaker with the Queers 12 years ago in San Diego (shit i'm old) I would pay $100 to see: Jimi Hendrix Black Flag Black Sabbath (30 years ago) and I would think about paying $100 to see Sleep
  7. nope, just the yellow/black [which came out looking more like orange/black] and a green/yellow. shame. Oh well, I think i'll still have to pick it up though. Hopefully it's still available next month.
  8. Picked up: Glasses & Ashes - Aesthetic Arrest Floor - Dove In the Red / Git Some 7" Chuck Ragan - Feast or Famine Whiskey & Co. - Leaving the Nightlife I'm spending way to much on records this month.
  9. I have a terrible memory, here's some: Witchcraft @ 3 Kings Tavern, Denver Dinosaur Jr, Lucero, Planes Mistaken for Stars @ Westword Showcase, Denver Middian @ 3 Kings Tavern, Denver Melvins, Big Business @ Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins Hidden Hand, Kylesa @ The Hi-Dive, Denver Sea of Bones, Dead Commuter, Across Tundras @ Monkey Mania, Denver
  10. Denver's scene has been pretty exciting the last few years. Here's a couple i'm stoked on. Git Some http://www.myspace.com/fuckengitsome Kingdom of Magic http://www.myspace.com/kingdomofmagic Across Tundras http://www.myspace.com/acrosstundras
  11. Got my VC order in today: Converge - Petitioning Forever (black/white one) Heavens - Patent Pending VC edition (postal guy banged up the corner pretty good. I guess he wasn't too happy with the packaging either)
  12. I wouldn't mind if they waited a couple more months so the bank account can be replenished.
  13. It's all about supply and demand. I've got some records that are out of 50 or 100, but if only 10 people give a crap about the band they won't be worth anything. Also, if demand is consistently high for a record and they increase the supply by repressing, that would obviously have a negative effect on the value/price. That's why I try to only buy stuff that I really enjoy listening to. I paid $20 for a Capitalist Casualties 7" ten years ago that I could probably get for $3 today, but it still fucking rocks!!
  14. I've only seen it on ebay a couple times, both ending in the $50-75 range. It's a white whale for OMG/Isis/Cave In, etc. collectors. I probably would have paid up to $25. Nice find.
  15. I don't think that people taking them "seriously" is at the top of their priorities.
  16. There is no way I would ever, ever, in any fucking way trust a dishwasher with my record. There is actual record cleaner you can use and if you can't find one or don't want to spend the money on one a lot of the times you can take them into local record shops and they will clean them for a small fee of maybe a dollar or something. Water can leave ugly residue on the vinyl and sometimes the soap if not washed out all the way can get stuck in the grooves and effect the sound quality. Too much work. I'd rather hold them out of the window at the carwash.
