  1. PM'd, i'm in. We can post our lists afterwords and send them via "you send it" or something if anyone is interested.
  2. Check either of them when you get a chance. They both have Myspaces (what band nowadays doesn't anyways?) I'm curious about those bands you mentioned...will give 'em a listen... Just listened to the Lion Sized myspace page and it sounded really good. Thanks j. (I couldn't find the d.biddle)
  3. Just drank a bottle of wine and will probably lay in bed and listen to records. My back is fucked up.
  4. Have you heard of d.biddle and Lion Sized? They're both from your town and are awesome. I know those guys too...hella nice! I have heard of Lion Sized, but haven't been able to check them out yet. I haven't heard of d.biddle. The best part about local shows right now is that you will have a wide variety of styles on the bill. It's not as "cliquey" as it has been in they past. I'm really into Kingdom of Magic, Across Tundras, Git Some, and of course the mighty Catheter.
  5. How is that painful?!?!? That is fuckin' metal right there!!!! You're right, I should be embracing it.
  6. There are a variety of really good bands in Denver right now, but I may just be too old and out of touch to know what scene is huge.
  7. The Black Sabbath Reunion at what I think was the second Ozzfest. Neurosis played that show as well. Painful to admit now but I also like the Pantera shows I attended while in High School. Pantera, Sepultura, and Prong at Red Rocks was killer.
  8. Both true. RHCP are probably the most annoying band on radio today.
  9. I stand corrected: Usage Note: Irregardless is a word that many mistakenly believe to be correct usage in formal style, when in fact it is used chiefly in nonstandard speech or casual writing. Coined in the United States in the early 20th century, it has met with a blizzard of condemnation for being an improper yoking of irrespective and regardless and for the logical absurdity of combining the negative ir- prefix and -less suffix in a single term. Although one might reasonably argue that it is no different from words with redundant affixes like debone and unravel, it has been considered a blunder for decades and will probably continue to be so.
  10. I have the AS300's and I love them too. Sansui made some tough shit back then. They look exactly like this on the outside (the only difference is that they're 3-way): http://www.classicsansui.net/images/Literature/Speakers/AS100.jpg Those are sweet, Ronnie
  11. Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. Maybe i'll just get cables or something at Best Buy.
  12. That's cool. I just wish some of these labels would set better expectations from the start. We all knew it would be a couple months.
  13. Probably, but he would get mad if I asked my "speaker" question in the "turntable" thread. Either way, I planned on being scolded.
  14. I'm starting to piece together a new system and was thinking of these speakers: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8289238&type=product&id=1172277278079 I'm going to get a Marantz 22-- receiver, a nice turntable, and wanted to know if I was doing a disservice to my setup if I bought these speakers. I got some gift certs to Best Buy for Christmas and I obviously won't get the receiver or new turntable there but was considering these speakers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
  15. That's interesting. I just looked at my account and I wasn't charged either, but I got a confirm email. Huh.
  16. One of the most frustrating moments for me was in Ikari Warriors. Played the game for like 4 hours and got to the last level, and remember how you could walk over the buildings on the side and just pass all the enemies without fighting? I was right at the end and walking on the buildings and my dude got stuck. Couldn't move anymore. I don't think I ever played that game again.
  17. I still have to put mine together after that recordnerd fiasco. Pain in the ass.
  18. Theres this sandwich shop in Boulder that sells a "Thanksgiving" sandwich. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc between bread. Great shit.
