  1. I see. but the problem was there was only a matrix on one of the listings. but I found out that it's a duplicate submission anyway.. 1991 US pressing doesn't exist. thanks anyway..
  2. thanks for the help. I'll probably have to do a bit more research to figure out which HUT version I have.
  3. well that explains a lot!!! thank you. a friend and I were like fucking detectives last night trying to figure out how to tell the difference.. someone should just delete that prior listing to not confuse people further. are those Hut releases harder to find ? I got one in Japan. but now I am thinking about keeping the UK version and getting rid of the repress.
  4. I was going by Discogs but I could be completely wrong.. http://www.discogs.com/Smashing-Pumpkins-Gish/release/4386949 and http://www.discogs.com/Smashing-Pumpkins-Gish/release/673473
  5. there are two from caroline one from 91 and a remastered one from '00.
  6. yeah mine is opened. it was put up at a record store and they didn't know which pressing it was either.. I have an OG UK "Hut" release and I was trying to upgrade... but I have no idea.. ugh.
  7. I don't understand.. the matrix almost never matches the barcode. or am I misunderstanding it? what am I matching? the matrix matches what discogs says .. (is this what you mean?) well here's the weird thing.. mine doesn't look like that.. there looks like there might be some numbers above the barcode but they're buried in the spine.. (damn I wish I knew how to post pictures on here..)
  8. sorry to bump this.. I recently bought a used Gish from Other Music in NYC and I am having real trouble deciphering whether or not this is an OG or the remastered 90's version. I have looked at discogs but they don't really give much information on how to tell these apart. the Matrix seem to match up with the OG but there's small numbering above the UPC which a friend told me might mean it's the remastered version. I looked on ebay and it was really no help and collector's frenzy doesn't show the backs of the LPS. here's the information.. Barcode: 0 1704617051 2 Matrix / Runout (side A): CAR-1705-A HUTLPX-2A-1 Matrix / Runout (side : CAR-1705-B HUTLPX-2B-1 LP Catalog number is CAROL 1705 doesn't say Remastered anywhere on the LP but it's still in shrink and it looks like there was a sticker over the barcode that was torn off so maybe it said it on there/? can anyone help? thanks guys!
  9. I also got the NYC one!! also not so humbling brag!! we now own what? 2/11??
  10. thanks Ryan!! I can't wait to get it!! thanks for taking care of this.. much appreciated.
  11. I got mine recently from Midheaven and there was an incredible seam split which I wrote to them for an extra cover or something and they said they didn't have any left. DOH!!
  12. they had Power of Failing with them last night at St Vitus (along with a sign that said NEW FONT!!) but not the other LP.
  13. did you order specially made Sun Kil Moon salad bowls? yikes. sorry dude.
  14. yeah I am going to see them with the Smith Street Band in NYC after fest. (and seeing them at Fest) either way hoping they have some fun stuff with them on tour.
  15. did anyone go and see them? I am going this weekend .. any cool merch?
  16. I was hoping they would go up at the same time too. save on the shipping. oh well..
  17. here's my thoughts on it.. I bet they have the / 100 on tour with them ! the /300 180 gram is probably the cheapest way to get a limited version plus the /300 (/100 per place) might be a great option. the new song sounds amazing.
  18. http://store.sideonedummy.com/ looks like the only way to get the /100 is through the coffee bundle. yes the coffee bundle. here's a new song / video.. it's really good. http://www.npr.org/event/music/345185645/restorations-separate-songs (if anyone can embed this, please do) Available on colored vinyl & CD w/ bundle options. THIS IS A PREORDER FOR AN ITEM WITH RELEASE DATE OF 10/28/14. ITEM WILL SHIP TO ARRIVE ON OR AROUND STREET DATE. PLEASE ALLOW 7 DAYS AFTER STREET DATE FOR DELIVERY OF PREORDER. THANK YOU. LP3, the upcoming album by Philadelphia’s own Restorations, is a rare achievement: it doesn’t fail at being anything. It’s a collision of influ- ences, not a contrived mixture of them. The band returned to Miner Street Studio and longtime friend/collaborator Jonathan Low for the recording of LP3. The result is a record that fills a room even when coming out of laptop speakers: every instrument is bigger on this album than on previous efforts, and the vocals often puncture quiet moments to such perfect, unnerving effect that you could believe its happening in your head. LP3 is a marriage of big sounds and meaty songwriting. Clever, sure, but strong is a better description. SideOn- eDummy Records is proud to release Restorations’ LP3 on October 28th. Track Listing: 1. Wales 2. Separate Songs 3. Misprint 4. Tiny Prayers 5. All My Home 6. Most Likely a Spy 7. No Castle 8. The Future 9. It's Not Pressing Info: 1600 - Red/White/Yellow/Black Starburst (300 on 180-Gram - SideOneDummy) Retail 100 - White/Brown/Black Starburst (SideOneDummy) 100 - Clear/Red Starburst (Australia) 100 - Clear/Black Starburst (UK) 100 - Clear/Blue Starburst (Germany)
  19. also bought this when it went up. this band is great. (imo)
  20. I am a pretty big fan and I have been reading his "biography/ long form interview" book (here on amazon ) it explains a little bit about his persona and where Bonnie comes from. pretty interested read if you're a fan. also since this is a vinyl board here's the impossible to find 2x10 inch and wooden box the UK version of the book came in.. http://www.discogs.com/Bonnie-Prince-Billy-Will-Oldham-On-Bonnie-Prince-Billy/release/3563636
