  1. I am totally down if anyone has one to sell too.. anyone??? thanks
  2. so I guess that Saddle Creek were giving away a few flexis from this LP at pitchfork, anyone get one? or maybe know where I can find out (outside of discogs, even though there are none for sale on there right now..) http://www.discogs.com/Rural-Alberta-Advantage-Terrified/release/5938430 anyone help me find one of these?
  3. I was thinking about next October so it might be a while.. for me at least.
  4. travis at human head is a really solid dude and will definitely be nothing but cool and helpful.. permanent records in greenpoint is also worth checking out (but they'll be moving their shop soon but I think they're still open).. also don't forget Academy in Greenpoint also. enjoy!!
  5. same thing happened to me. I saw it on instagram. missed it. doh
  6. I am going to have a black one and a green one but I am going to keep the green. if anyone wants the black, PM me. (I bought the green last night).
  7. how was the show? the new songs? any cool things for sale with him?
  8. did anyone say.. the one with all the instrumental songs? cause that's my answer. wait. what are the one with all the instrumental songs..?
  9. yeah I thought about that. but my friend told me that one of the members is living in Italy right now.. so maybe a Rome and Fort Reno..?
  10. thank goodness I am not a variant collector cause this thing looks so pretty!!
  11. .. my number 1 "i'll fly pretty much anywhere in the world if they did a reunion show" band
  12. or they could just reform and do a new album.. .. just saying..
  13. sure it's possible. but I mean.. desertshore sold those for 100 dollars a pop, saying only 20 made I mean I don't know many bands that would put remaining tour copies up for like 100.00 and then claim it's /20, I know I wouldn't have bought one if it was like only 20 remaining out of a 500 pressing. or do a special /200 tour version. and then press another 200.. I think it's probably way more probable that these numbers are just wrong. I mean if you just look at the hard numbers on Discogs for Benji on Blue. 40 people have the blue. 118 people have the yellow. almost three times as more. unless of course the's holding out to release more.. also possible.
  14. if you look at the numbers for uncool... Live at Union Chapel.. Release Date: May, 2011 Catalog #: VFR-2011-1 Number of Copies: 500 (Black) 500 (Red/Green) 400 (Clear – Tour Edition, silkscreened jacket) (this is bullshit, I have one and it clearly says /200)then for .. Desertshore - Drawing they have this.. Number of Copies: 500 (Orange) (which is also complete shit cause they sold them 100.00 and said they were out of 20) 500 (Purple) if that was true, they would have at least 20 people writing desertshore bitching saying it /20 and they bought one for $100.00
  15. ah. that makes sense. thanks .. I went looking and looking and couldn't find what my other friend was talking about..
  16. hey.. I have a question. I went to Recofan and I couldn't find one record. but my friend Andrew told me that Recofan was the best.. did I miss something? i actually went back twice.. I saw a bunch of like bargain LP's.. I know there was another one.. I went to the one in Shibuya..
  17. I bought a record bag from Mono .. http://monocreators.com/ there a bit overpriced but it's fits at least 25 records the rest I just brought in a carry on. I think I might have gotten 35 total.
  18. who does? but if people start saving up now.. that's like 14 / 15 months from now.
  19. a lot. I mean in tokyo you have to look up all the Disk Union shops. they're the best. but they're going to be a bit more overpriced but they're going to have some amazing stuff. and they have like floors dedicated to really specific genres .. http://diskunion.net/st/shop/e_index.html the one in Shibuya has a punk / metal floor that has literally categories called 90's emo and shit! it's genius. if you go to Osaka definitely go to Time Bomb
  20. nope we did AirBNB each city. worked out to about 30 - 60 a night depending on the place. but if there were more than 3 people it would go down a lot.
  21. I saw so much Euro / Brit Pop stuff.. but since I don't know a ton about it I just sort of passed over it.. but I saw so much jesus mary chain / stereolab / blur .. you name it.. not my bag but I knew my friends who saw that stuff would have lost their shit.
  22. that's so cool. I have thought up some cool places to go.. but would love to get some suggestions of other places / cities or how one puts together a "record vacation"
  23. to me the pricing felt like this. it was either priced accordingly for records that I never ever see. then there were records for like 3/4's the normal pricing and then just flat out deals.. like old punk records for like 3 dollars and shit. I think Modest Mouse was like 160.00 which is definitely less than discogs . I mean there are some ridiculous things tho.. I saw a Led Zeppelin 1 test pressing, just sitting on the wall of a shop. it was like 4800.00 dollars. I took a picture of it.
  24. when I was over there.. they pretty much assured me that tokyo was unaffected by it.. it's pretty far away from the radiation.. and they had done a ton of tests..
