  1. Real talk, any label thinking that 160kbps downloads are acceptable are out of their goddamn minds. Even a casual listener can tell the difference in a lot of cases, and many people who buy vinyl do so for the sound quality... meaning we probably don't want the shittiest mp3 version available.
  2. Just got the download codes from KRM, and after a quick skim-through, the EP is a total Dan-fest! FUCK YEAH! Can't wait to listen to all of these later.
  3. The original press really wasn't that bad, the slightly different artwork was kinda cool, it had lyrics, and I can't complain about a fold over jacket when the record only cost $9.
  4. Haha yeah I think the only freebies I've gotten in the past couple years have been the occasional random promo poster. No complaints though, they are bigger and busier than they used to be and they still have great records at low prices with some of the best customer service in the biz. I also love their rewards system, I made an order just the other day and randomly had $3 or so in store credit to use on it.
  5. Ordering from interpunk in the mid 2000's was a goldmine of free swag. Just about every order I made between like 2003-2006 included multiple CD samplers, stickers, tour fliers, and once or twice even a free t-shirt.
  6. This joke wasn't really that funny the first three times... c'mon guys, at least post Shaq or something mildly amusing.
  7. Most definitely. The problem is that no one is this process is really looking out for the kids, universal presses what is ordered, hot topic sells what it gets. It is strictly business and the original label and band that put the work in are shut out. The question being asked is "Will this still sell out at $22 a copy?", and not "Did we put in the best effort possibly to give our supporters the product they deserve".
  8. All of the FC pressings from the 3rd press on feature the original CD art.
  9. They printed like 4000 copies originally (white, green, blue) and those were still in print as of a few months ago. I just checked and it's out of stock at interpunk now, but an original would not be hard or expensive to find.
  10. They are selling the single LP for $12 and the double for $20. They didn't seem to be limiting the 2x12" at all, but a few of my friends bought the single LP instead just because it was cheaper.
  11. I'm mainly stoked to finally see my friends' semi-new band Mean & Ugly: http://meanandugly.bandcamp.com Ex-members of Machine Gun Romantics and Stymie
  12. Seeing these guys tomorrow at a small DIY space in Fort Worth. I think the last time I caught a set by them was Chaos in Tejas 2008.
  13. Is the thread where I can admit that I had Tim sign my copy of this CD at Warped Tour 2004? It's hard to believe this album is a decade old now.
  14. I have a Severin 7" that has a letter from a band member to the label (if I remember correctly) inside of it. Definitely not what I was expecting but I found it to be really cool. I'll have to dig that up in the next day or two. I also have a Goldfinger CD with a note to a friend and the drummer's phone number inside. I know I have a few other records with similar little "additions" that make me think, "damn, some of these guys are jerks for selling records that their friends gave them".
  15. These two look great together. Now to wait for the LP to come in.
  16. Goddamn is this good. I liked Here, Under Protest a lot, but this new record may just be my favorite Utters release. I'll need to see how I feel in a month, but either way this rules.
  17. I've always hopped this would get an official release sooner or later. I've been listening to a super shitty 128kbs rip for yeeeeears now.
  18. Not yet, I imagine it will come eventually though since there is a pretty high demand.
  19. I didn't even realize they had Direction haha. Yeah Say it like you Mean it was the last thing I really got into by them but I think that has more to do with my musical tastes changing than anything else.
  20. I had been kinda wanting that Starting Line LP, and this pushed me over the edge to grab one. Job well done HT.
  21. My exact thinking. I doubt colored vinyl will sell out particularly fast (especially if This Addiction was any indication) but I'm still happy to have it. I thought about the box, but I hate slim-fit shirts so that is what made it an easy decision.
  22. This thread reminded me that I have a sealed copy of this. Haha I'll have to re-evaluate if I enjoy this record as much as I did when it came out (close to ten years ago now right?).
  23. Gonna have to start doing this. It pains me when I get gatefold records and have to remove it to fully view the inside, especially when the stickers really compliment or are a part of the art.
  24. You should definitely email and figure out what this is! Even if it's a boot, it's hella cool and I wish I had one too!
