Not sure if it's for real or a mistake, but CD Universe has the vinyl (as well as several other vinyl preorders) listed for $2.35. According to the latest reports from the Mountain Goats forum anyone who ordered before 43665 is in for the tape. Not sure about after that.

I hope some of you took advantage of those ridiculous prices. I checked the site today and they have changed the layout somewhat and the prices have been jacked up to what is average elsewhere. Bummer, I was getting hooked on those deals.

Agreed. I'm very happy with my P1 (and have a ton of 45s).

I also thought that changing speeds manually would be a pain, but I went with the Rega P1 anyway and haven't regretted it. Saying that it takes 15 seconds to change the speed would be an exaggeration; it's quick and easy.

Slightly off topic, but I thought I'd ask here rather than start yet another Expedit thread. What are your thoughts on which way to use the 2x4 Expedit? Horizontal or vertical? I think there were some pictures posted here (although I can't find them now) in which someone's shelving had collapsed because they set up the Expedit the wrong way...I'm picking one up tonight and would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
