  1. I think that's true, so maybe you'd sell the service to other platforms. I would think kungfustore isn't happy that all of their sites are down because one pre-order killed the system
  2. Sorry, I shouldn't have said pre-order (my point still stands but I should have said releases in general)... I think it's shipping right away.
  3. I think every webstore platform tries to be able to handle popular pre-orders, but since so many fail, I feel like someone could make a killing by building a platform that handles nothing but pre-orders.
  4. I may be insane for saying so, but I almost wish it cost more than that (or that there are more copies than "super duper limited" would imply). If there are 1000 pressed, I think this will sell in 10 minutes because there's a lot of interest and because people know they can flip it. I am so excited for this, but I'm going to be so bummed if I can't get a copy.
  5. I actually emailed Johah a month or two ago and asked if there were/are any plans for Tin Cans and/or Water & Solutions on vinyl. He said "Thought about it lots, hope to make it happen someday :-) See you soon!"
  6. (Well apparently my post in this thread was lost when the backup was used. Anyways...) I got the US 2xLP on XL and the b-side of the first record ends oddly. Rather than playing out the audio and then rapidly winding toward the center (which would force my record player to pick up the needle), the groove just kind of locks up about an inch from the center and gets trapped there. The audio is still softly playing and my record player continues to play without ever picking up the needle. Is anyone else's copy like this?
  7. "Save 15% off of your entire purchase (except blank media) when you enter the coupon code SPRING12 during the checkout process. Offer valid until May 30, 2012." www.sleevetown.com This place sells good outer sleeves. I like the Ultimate Outer 2.5 Sleeves. Shipping can be expensive, but having a coupon helps.
  8. I bought a copy of the No Idea version and a copy of the Interpunk version because I thought they both looked really cool. I figured I'd like one better than the other and just sell one of them, but they are both so cool that I can't decide which to part with. More importantly, I liked the album on first listen and I'm enjoying it more and more each time. It's so good to have a new HWM record.
  9. Limited to 750 copies! Iron & Wine covers George Michael and Lowell George's Little Feat on the limited edition Two Sides of George 7". The single will be available as part of Suicide Squeeze's single series and will be limited to 750 copies worldwide (250 opaque yellow, 250 opaque red, 250 black vinyl). The 2012 series boasts an impressive array of talent that also includes the likes of King Tuff, White Woods, Nobunny, Wax Idols, Cloud Nothings, and Julianna Barwick. Includes a coupon for a free digital download of the single in MP3 format. TRACK-LISTING: Side A - One More Try Side B - Trouble AV CLUB: http://www.avclub.com/articles/this-limited-new-iron-wine-single-includes-the-ban,73757/ ORDER HERE: http://suicidesqueeze.bigcartel.com/
  10. I came here to see if any other copies had the labels switched. It's sounds like all the copies are. Did anyone get a copy where the labels are correct? I'm not sure if this place is for real, but they still have it listed online for sale: http://www.jr.com/product/music/pm/_2195142/ I suppose it's worth a shot.
  11. I know this thread isn't about Sigur Ros, but people keep mentioning that release. And I'm not sure if it would come through or not, but this place still has Hvarf/Heim listed for sale: http://www.jr.com/product/music/pm/_2195142/ It's worth a try if you can't find it anywhere else.
  12. I ordered #3, so I got the Strike Anywhere 7". Beyond that I got the 3 CD's I asked for (Crime In Stereo "I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone", Strike Anywhere "Iron Front", Lemuria "Pebble"), 4 other CD's (Polar Bear Club "Chasing Hamburg", Ceremony "Still Nothing Moves You", Energy "Invasions Of The Mind", NOW That's What I Call Music 34), an Energy "Walk Into The Fire" 7", several stickers, a couple posters, and (definitely the coolest thing) Polar Bear Club "The Summer Of George EP" 7" on orange vinyl (with the accompanying note "Holy shit! You got something rare. You lucky son of a bitch!"). That was definitely worth the money. I'm in for next year.
  13. Looks like a cool set but I'm not biting with that price. This makes me hopeful that we'll get represses of SCIENCE, Make Yourself, and Morning View sometime in the near future.
  14. I'm sure I'm in good company as someone who got up early and refreshed the webpage for several hours, but ultimately wasn't able to get a copy. It's a bummer, but I'm fine waiting for the next pressing. What I'm concerned about is the next pressing might be just as much of a zoo and I have no plan to wake up super early to try to order a copy. I hope it at least lasts a few hours on Hot Topic's page.
  15. I emailed MTS asking for a refund and after I didn't hear back (obviously), I called up Chase and explained the situation. They immediately refunded both of my charges (my original order and my order with the 50% off coupon). I paid through Paypal, but I knew Chase would be much more helpful.
  16. Well I have to go to work, so if anyone can pick up an extra copy for me when they go up, I'd greatly appreciate it.
  17. what the hell kind of work blocks hottopic? do they block amazon too? I work at a bank and they are super tight on security. The only web page I can get to is ESPN so that's what I read at lunch.
  18. I'm not nervous that someone bought them all...I'm nervous that this won't go up in the next hour and I'll have to go to work where hottopic.com is blocked.
  19. When TAITA went up online, some people had trouble with the link but were able to get it work by changing ".com" to ".co.uk". That's worth trying.
  20. I saw this yesterday and didn't think it had any chance of selling out. I went back today to order a copy and they're all gone. I hope they do another press.
  21. It seems like every time I visit a city, the name of some random stop on the train sticks with me. I visited Portland this past fall and I just loved the name 'Clackamas'. I took to yelling it out like it was the name of a super villain. So for old times sake and for the store screwing you.... Clackamas!!!!!
  22. Ordered #3. Fingers crossed for a Polar Bear Club 7"
  23. I bought one of the Elephant t-shirts. It is so cool!
  24. I'm not making of this comment (because I know what you mean) but I had to laugh at the thought of this release being "finally OOP" when it hasn't come out and is months and months late.
