  1. ...and on that note, I hope they do reissues of Recovering The Satellites and This Desert Life.
  2. I got this in the mail yesterday and it looks and sounds great. I'm not saying everyone should buy it (I understand it not being worth $50 to everyone), but it's definitely a great package. Really thick jacket (like the recent Smashing Pumpkins reissues), really heavy vinyl, and it sounds great. Also, the package that it came in was the most securely packed record I've ever got in the mail. I'm not sure if they always pack their records this way, but I received it in absolutely mint condition.
  3. Ordered! I already placed an order for the 5th press of Not Like This, so maybe you could ship them together (I added a note to my order).
  4. There was a thread about this before: I pre-ordered it and I actually just got a shipping notification today.
  5. I'm on the Sigur Ros mailing list and they said that the 10" was now available again for the UK only.
  6. I got my copy from Banquet in the mail today. I got 17/300. It looks sick and I like the b-side. No digital download though which was a bummer.
  7. I was at Sound Cat Records in Pittsburgh yesterday and they had 6 or 8 copies of this. $9. sweet price. there is no way this is limited like the RSD releases were.
  8. I looked on ebay for a copy of this for about a year, but the few copies that did show up went for $150-$200 and I was simply unwilling to pay that. I would definitely buy a copy of s/t, blue, and ootv on vinyl if they ever get reissued.
  9. I bought a combo pack of this with Clash Battle Guilt Pride (so I could get the new green vinyl 2nd pressing) and another copy of the live album so I could get it on red and blue vinyl. I got mine in the mail today and I got copies on clear and blue vinyl. I didn't know anything about the clear vinyl. So apparently there are 3 colors of this rather than just the 2. Maybe no one cares about these things other than me, but in case someone does, I thought I'd let you know. Did anyone else get the clear vinyl?
  10. Awesome news. I love this band. I'm glad I picked up a copy of Weathervanes on vinyl when it wasn't too hard to find.
  11. I'm a big fan of Lovedrug's new album "Wild Blood" and I realized that there wasn't a thread on Vinyl Collective about the vinyl release. I picked up a copy of the album on black vinyl from the band while they were on tour, but I just found out last night that in addition to the 800 copies pressed on black, there are 100 copies on clear and 100 copies on translucent violet. Anyways, I'd really recommend the album. If you haven't heard it, you can check it out on Bandcamp: http://lovedrug.band...lbum/wild-blood You can get the black vinyl directly from the band: http://lovedrug.spin.../details/139179 Or you can buy the black or clear vinyl (translucent violet is sold out) from the label (American Dream Records): http://americandream...drug-wild-blood On a related note, if anyone got a copy of the album on Translucent Violet and you are willing to sell it, hit me up.
  12. Damn! I was really hoping to use my Hot Cash discount on this.
  13. I'm just curious... Did you see him on this last tour? Going into the show, I was wishing it was going to be full band, but I thought he sounded so great solo that after a few songs, I was really glad it was just him. Maybe it's because the records remind so much of the show, but I'm glad that these are solo recordings. I hope he releases some full band shows at some point, but I'm really digging these.
  14. It sounds really good. I went to the show in Cleveland on the last tour and it sounds just like that. Good acoustic guitar sound, really strong vocals, little bit of crowd noise. Just an FYI... On the sleeve for each record, it has the track listing, but only the songs in white are on the LP. The songs in grey must be part of the download. I knew there were more songs as part of the download, but I was surprised to see them listed on the LP sleeve.
  15. I got mine in the mail this morning (I live in Pittsburgh). The box looked perfect and it was clearly designed to ship this thing. It looks amazing! I'm listening to the first LP now...
  16. That's the 7" from the 2011 mystery boxes. It's one-sided with the Drifting Thing remix on it.
  17. I just got a shipping confirmation email. I can't wait to get this.
  18. Got my order today with no signed insert. I'm sure I was one of the first 500 but since MerchNow didn't pull my order until I emailed them (they told me it got lost between systems) I missed out. My invoice even had a number in highlighter on it but it was scribbled out. The record sounds pretty good though and the coke bottle vinyl is nice and thick.
  19. Ordered! I'm way more excited about this album than I should be.
  20. Unbelievable. I ordered a coke bottle clear right when they went up so I figured I'd get a signed insert. I sent an email to MerchNow asking about my order status and they said my order got lost between systems and it hasn't shipped. They wanted me to confirm that I still wanted my order filled or if I want a refund, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have it in stock (and I ordered a pink ATDI Vaya, too which they don't have in stock anymore). What a shit show that place is.
  21. From the Bridge Nine Records newsletter: "Polar Bear Club is set to release a 9-song acoustic live collection from their hometown show last July at the Montage Theater. Titled Live At The Montage and set for a July 31 release, this album features songs spanning from all over Polar Bear Club’s musical career thus far - tracks off of their debut album Sometimes Things Just Disappear, from their first B9 album Chasing Hamburg, and to their most recent masterpiece Clash Battle Guilt Pride. Recorded and engineered by Jay Maas of Getaway Recordings (Defeater, Bane, Cruel Hand), this collection truly captures the energy and urgency of Polar Bear Club’s live show. Track list, song premieres and pre-order information coming soon." No word yet on whether or not there will be a vinyl release, but I would think that there will be.
  22. I'm not defending any absurd comments made on Facebook (I'm not on Facebook so I haven't read what's been said there), but I can understand being disappointed about missing out on this. I'm a big fan of Ryan so I'm really happy that I got a copy, but I'd certainly be bummed if I didn't get one. I don't have the first 3 Pax-Am 7" releases but I wasn't listening to Ryan at the time they were released, so it's understandable that I might not ever get a copy of those. It would be a little harder to accept that I wasn't able to get a copy of a brand new release because I was 20 minutes late to a website, or I couldn't get the website to respond, or there simply weren't enough copies pressed based on the interest level. And while it's cool that they are doing a digital release, this board is called vinyl collective so I hope we can all admit that for at least some things, it's really nice to have them on vinyl instead of just digitally. Anyways, I'm not saying people should be throwing themselves off of cliffs or threatening to burn down buildings, but I can understand being disappointed that they weren't able to get a copy of what looks like a really cool release.
  23. I thought Paypal would add another step and thus make the process slower, so I put it straight onto my credit card.
