because first and foremost records are intended to be heard. not to sit on a bookshelf and collect dust. they aren't baseball cards. it's like buying a new/vintage guitar only to have it sit in a case in your closet. total beanie baby mentality from a new jack generation mindset.
buy records, listen to them. enjoy!

Why the fuck would you buy it if you weren't going to open it

Do we really need a thread every time someone finds a brand new or thrice record for non-internet prices?
Finding a record that is only a few years old really isn't that exciting even if it is a good deal.

11 replies and nobody has mentioned Sandman, Bone or Miracleman. Shame on all of you! All essentials to anyone who is remotely interested in comics.
A few of my personal favorites that haven't been mentioned... Planetary, 100 Bullets, Asterios Polyp, Frank Miller's Daredevil, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, Fables (and all the Fables spin-offs), League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (v1 & v2), Rex Mundi, Tomorrow Stories.

He gets nearly everything in. Become Facebook friends with him and request stuff. He'll get it.
Faster shipping. Only lists stuff in stock (besides a few preorders).
    Seriously.
It's stupid he's banned from here, because he has a better store, better customer service, better sales, etc. If SRC is intimidated by him, they should step up there game and become a better, less shady store.

Maybe the topic should be titled differently then, because I am not impressed by someone finding a record for a good price on the internet AT ALL. I am impressed by people finding awesome records at yard sales, goodwills, and flea markets. Get off my lawn.

man, you've got one of the best areas in the country for record stores. and there are honestly more around there now than there have been in years... south of LA = fingerprints, vinyl solution, TKO. hollywood = amoeba, headline, counterpoint. silverlake/glendale = rockaway, permanent, origami, vacation. burbank = freakbeat, atomic (and CD trader if you wanna go as far as tarzana)... and that's just off the top of my head. i mean it sucks that the ones super close to you closed, but you're definitely not making any friends talking about the lack of records when you live where you do. haha...

file under: rare except for the people that actually go out to their record stores.
