The 10k price is for the advance preorder. When you're a subscriber and logged in you get the reduced price. And yeah, I'm kinda pissed with the "20th anniversary" thing. So we gotta pay again for the corrected, or "touched up", artwork? That's not too cool.

Imagine how HUGE that record could sound on vinyl. The production is just incredible.

Not a rant at all. An extreme sales drop would/should drop prices in theory, but also cause a lot of labels to pull out of the business if they weren't taking much in.

I didn't think that at all, just genuinely curious as to what users think can be done.

So whats the solution to lowering the price of records?

I'd definitely like to think that's in the works, whether its SRC or someone else. That album is too good to not ever be pressed. The cd/tape sales were due to poor promotion by the label more than anything else.

Not sure how it is outside of NY, but here I've seen independent stores charging anywhere from 18 to 20-something for new vinyl releases. It's not just internet prices. A lot of stores/distros have to charge that "much" just to break even. Remember when CDs were 18.99?

Preorders launch next week, preorders for SRC subscribers launch on Friday. Excited!

The 95 subscription was definitely worth it. Not missing out tomorrow because the pre order for subscribers launched today. Grabbed both for 19 each. I fucking love Hum.

When movies (blu-ray or dvd) ship with a slight error, they're recalled and replaced. And do you actually consider the 3xLP set "available for 15 years?" Not everyone has/had the cash to shell out on that one. Don't be ignorant.

And why shouldn't they? They paid for a product which isn't up to standard and in all reality shouldn't have been released with such an error. Some paid more than others. Even those who grabbed the discount still have a right to complain. The response from the source of the problem is even more aggravating.

Agreed. I don't think we have much to worry about. SRC gets a bad rap but they've done a great job so far with their releases.

Not too happy with some of these prices. I DO have the extra cash but I'm not sure if I'm willing to drop it on the 1995 set. Slightly off topic question: Does anyone know if SRC charges you once you place your order or when they ship the item?
