I wanted to say it sounds like you are very young, like 15 or 16, but since you are talking about bars, I have to assume you are at least 18. Let me give you some advice. You are probably coming off to her like a jealous, paranoid weirdo. If she is with you right now, it's because she wants to be. If she stays with you in the future, it's because she wants to. If she leaves you and goes back to fucking her "douche" ex-boyfriend, it's because she wants to. You have next to no say in her decision unfortunately. And acting all jealous and interrogating her about shit isn't going to help your cause any. You have only been dating since November which may seem like a long time if this is your first serious relationship, but it's really not. You are still in the "everything is perfect and I would drink this person's bathwater given the chance" phase. She may have just decided that she doesn't like you as much as she thought she did and is trying to distance herself from you, or she actually misses "getting treated badly" by her ex and is bored by you falling over yourself to make her happy.

Ordered. I'll give these guys one more chance but if this new album sounds like anything on the last one except for the first song, I've given up on them. Judging by that new song, things don't look promising.

As shit as this album is (and it is definitely shit), at least they made a bit of an effort to go back to sounding like they used to. I know people who didn't even know Metallica played "fast" songs until the St. Anger video came out.

Did you move out of Toronto or something? Haven't lived in Toronto for about two years now. I'm temporarily living in Nunavut for work and it costs me about $2,000 to get back to the city so I don't get back very much.

So I am getting a pretty good tax refund this year and I want to use it to buy some records from this genre. My problem is I haven't really heard anything that has come out for YEARS. I think the last new "screamo" record I bought was the final Hot Cross album. Any suggestions? I've already got a few things picked out from Vinyl Junkie based on some of the stuff in this thread, but am willing to order from elsewhere also. Here's what I already like and listen to, but I am willing to check out anything if it's good: Orchid (my favorite), Hot Cross, Funeral Diner, pg. 99, Neil Perry, Ampere, Portrait, etc.

God, there are so many Herb Alpert albums out there that you can probably get for 25 cents each.

I like the art more on these than the original press, but I will probably hold of for now as well.

I didn't even know they still made Cracked. I remember thinking it was really funny 15 years ago.

I wouldn't say that just because the books get finished, the series will have an ending. They had Carnivale completely written and at least another season of Deadwood finished. I know Deadwood was a little different because the Writer's Strike kind of ruined it, but for Carnivale it was completely a money issue, and I can see this show being at least as expensive to make.
