Quick Update! Within $900 of the $4,000 goal.  
 
If you can throw in $35 for the first vinyl package it would go such a long way to making this happen. I've been dreaming of and working towards pressing my work on vinyl for almost 20 years. This is the closest I have ever come to making it a reality. 
 
I overplanned for pledges on the kickstarter, so if you purchase that $35 package it is very likely you will also receive the lyric book and the CDs that I have left over from my other albums. So you will get more than what the package says you will get...in case that is an incentive. 
 
I am also having a run of 25 cassettes made. If you pledge at all and want me to throw in one of those as well, let me know and I will. 

The kickstarter is currently sitting at $2,917 which means that we have $1,083 to go! Two more weeks!! Please consider helping to make this a reality. We are so close!! This entire album, music videos, everything has been a completely DIY effort, funded by me saving for two years and contracting my friends to help with the recording, art and making the videos The end goal for me was to get something that I made pressed on vinyl. 
 
If just 10 people buy the $100 package, then it is fully funded
If just 14 people buy the $75 package, then we get there
If just 20 people buy the $50 package, this dream becomes a reality.

My old band was called Dear Holden, so I thought it would be clever to call the side project SeeMoreGlass not knowing that it would become the main project. One of these days, I'm going to do an audiobook reading of A Lovely Day For Bananafish. Maybe I'll do Raise High The Roof Beam Too!!

I know I'm definitely an unknown artist, but I would really appreciate any help I can get with this one. I've been making music for 20 years and this is the closest I have ever been to being able to press my work on vinyl. If you can snag a package I would be eternally grateful.  To entice you a little further, for the $100 package, Tony, the artist who painted the cover, is hand painting 20 old LP sleeves. Each one is individualized and even if you hate the record, it would be a cool piece of wall art.

Here is an update on my The Wonder Years collection. I've been collecting their stuff since I first heard the band in 2010 and The Upsides helped me make some serious life decisions. I justify this because I love supporting the band that helped me change my life for the better. Some of these have been pretty tricky to find and I still have a few more to go but I got some free time and figured I would do it anyway. I don't collect Test Presses only because they are way too expensive and I could never get my hands on one let alone all of them.  Also, for the record releases, I count it as one variant so I don't have multiples for The Greatest Generation or The Upsides. I have gotten a TON of help from people on VC, Dead Format and Discogs so huge thanks to the vinyl community. Hope you guys dig it.

I actually don’t listen to any of those bands anymore. Same goes with Brand New, Michael Jackson, and even idiots like Smash Mouth for playing a show during pandemic.
 
I just find other bands or artists that scratch the itch for me. When I hear songs like “Nobody Girl,” it really gets hard for me to relate to it like I did in the past. Instead, I’ve gotten into bands like centro-matic, or war on drugs, that resonate with me in the same way that his music did.
 
Same goes for, let’s say... “Pretty Young Thing,” by Michael Jackson.  I just can’t. But, instead of separating the music from the artist, I turn to the millions of artists out there NOT guilty of molesting children or soliciting nudes from underage people.
 
Hell, I even bail on bands and artists that behave abusively toward people. Sure, it may not be illegal, but I’m not gonna support and relate to an artist that objectifies his “friends,” dangles fame in exchange for sex (even if they do take the bait, it’s cringey), and belittles them when they don’t reciprocate? It’s just gross, and I can’t help but think about it when he’s crying in his lyrics about “look what I did to youuuu, look what you did to meeee.” 
 
Absolutely to each their own, but I think it’s fascinating to see that fans don’t realize he’s also very abusive toward them. Like someone said earlier, it’s kinda crazy how similar his behavior resembles that giant orange that just lost an election. Maybe there’s something to that?
