I am a lifelong Lakers hater, but there's even a tiny part of me who would like to see Phil get that 4th Three-Peat. Even if it means giving Kobe another ring. :-/ In all honesty though, putting aside my allegiance to my new hometown team, I'm on the "anyone but Miami" boat. And I would really like to see Boston or Orlando win it, not only beating out Miami on their side, but beating the Lakers in the Finals.

Moss/Monarch split 7" I slept on ordering it when it came out, and I've never seen it anywhere since it sold out. All the rest of my records that might make this list are things I'm too cheap to buy (the White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan usually goes for $400+, etc.)

The one that got most of my friends into the band was In Name and Blood. If I'm starting someone off I usually play that first even though it was their third album, it seems to stick with people for some reason. Their first record (self-titled) is mostly short, fast and loud punk rock'n'roll. Their second, Empty Bottles Broken Hearts, added more variety to their sound, while still being a really straight-forward rock'n'roll record. In Name and Blood was their first album with a full-time organ player, so the sound is overall darker and moodier (no pun intended), while also becoming slightly hookier and catchier. The Thelema EP seemed to be kind of divisive. I saw it as a natural progression of their sound and I love it, but I know plenty of people who didn't really dig it.

Also OOF - THAT ALBUM TITLE.

Don't mean to bump twice in a 24 hour period, but I dropped the price a good amount on the Oceanic Remixes if you buy them all together.

My old band did an Old Rasputin parody t-shirt. Our straight edge bass player designed it after he saw a discarded 4-pack laying on the floor of our practice space, haha.

I was actually looking at the packaging again the other day and I think my inner record-nerd collector over-reacted, too. I never like when my jackets get damaged, but when you think of it as an envelope that a card (and record) comes in, it makes sense that you would open it like a letter. And like I said, I cut mine across the top very carefully with my knife like I would use a letter opener. And now I think it's kind of cool.

Have you never heard them, or do you just not have any of their records? If you haven't heard them, I've got recommendations for you.

I would love to get the ATDI split on blue someday. I'm lucky, I really didn't have to chase any of those down except the Christmas Single and the purple 2x7" Botch split. All the rest I just bought when I saw the band, and they happened to be on colours/first press (in the case of the 7"s that were later pressed on colours). I just saw them again on Friday night and they played 2 new songs! I was really excited, hopefully that means a new record...

You're missing the point. You said "now he's just contributing to the bullshit autotune garbage." He hasn't done that in two years. In the time since then he's done lots of other things, including all the great hip hop songs he's been releasing for free every Friday. You're just not paying attention.

This stuff will go to eBay early in the week if it doesn't sell on here. The AFI CD/DVD is currently going for $75 on eBay with 4 hours left, so if you're thinking about it... my price is kind of a steal. Just saying.
