  1. Dirt you can't feel on records negatively effects the play of the record, so I can only imagine that the gritty sandy stuff you CAN feel would similarly do so.
  2. Like almost bankrupting Epitaph in the mid-90's to support his crack habit?
  3. Maybe it's Brett trying to destroy his embarrassing past?
  4. That's pretty lame. Why lie? They still would have sold them out anyway. Back on topic, I'm curious if anyone gets the two that they ordered.
  5. 10,000 to be exact. Yeah, but supposedly Brett had them destroyed, but he didn't realize that the person working at the warehouse had sold a bunch of them (supposedly 300).
  6. I have that record. What's it worth to you? I don't know who Gaslight Anthem is, so that doesn't appeal to me. Edit - There is one on eBay right now.
  7. What I don't get about this Brand New saga is, did Triple Crown say expressly, "we found a box of records!" or did they say, "this record is available again!" It sorta seems much ado about nothing.
  8. Will do. For some reason even the German boot from the early 90s goes for around the same price. That boot is real obvious because I think the cover only has one or two colors. I think there's another, better looking boot floating around. The colors are a little bit off. My guess from the label it's legit. For a record that only supposedly only 300 exist, it pops up way more than that. I'm guessing the number is more like 3000.
  9. False. It's 23 years old. Came out in 1985. Oops... for some reason I thought it was the "Fat EP".
  10. The first punk record I bought was the Misfits "Walk Among Us" when in 1988. I already had it on cassette, but the record had a lyric sheet.
  11. You mean that a bootlegger would so something as sketchy has misnumber the record run?!?!
  12. using a USB box is way better than the MIC IN port on a sound card. i use one of these: http://www.xitel.com/USA/prod_inportdl.htm works great i'm not sure what USB turntables come with...if it's comparable or if there are better/worse ones What exactly does that box do? I'm not convinced it's any better through the box than the AUX IN, and the information on their website is next to none.
  13. It's safer to have them bounce around in a box too big then smashed and dropped in a form fitted box. I've had records damaged because the box was too small, never because it was too big.
  14. You people are the only people on earth to complain about a shipping box being too big.
  15. I'm curious how well USB tables work compared to just going from the stereo to the AUX IN on a sound card.
  16. I'm pretty sure there was only one pressing ever, which came out a year or two after the CD was released.
  17. I had a $25 refund for one of the records on Tuesday as promised.
  18. I think it does the bands a service to get that music out there that the labels have gone belly up years, that the tapes are long since gone, or that not enough people want a repress of to make it "worthy" to do so.
  19. Mineral LP's are going for less now than they have. "The Power of Failing", which I sold for $3 about 10 years ago was consistantly going for over $100. I sold a copy of "Clarity" for close to $100 a few years ago. I sold a copy of the "77 Satellites" 7" for $100 many years ago. So that stuff is cheaper than now than it has been. Get Up Kids, too. I think stuff is at a median price on that sorta stuff and insanely high on other stuff... like records that came out a month ago and are now around $100. Insane to me.
  20. He also said that they are all going to be numbered, since that matters so some people.
