lol great song. The only positive I see from the BCS is that small conference schools are getting a chance to beat bigger and more prestigious schools. Two good examples are Boise State beating Oklahoma and West Virginia beating Oklahoma. Look for Cincinnati to knock off Florida this weekend too. They really fucked up by having TCU and Boise State play each other this year as it can't answer if those undefeated teams are worthy of being in the national championship.

I can't really give a great reason why it is the way it is but it's all irrelavent. It's a way for schools and the NCAA to generate money from sponsors which is why you have the Little Ceasers Bowl, the Emerald Nuts Bowl, etc. They're all division 1 athletics and the top 25 teams make bowls and then teams from small conferences get a chance at bowls which is why unranked teams also play in them. Army, Air Force and Navy are also colleges which is why they have sports teams. The only game that matters is Alabama v. Texas.

Does anyone have experience with a Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD (IF) or any Tamron lenses? I'm shooting the Hornets starting in January and I need a 70-200 f2.8 really badly. I want the Canon IS but I'd have to get a new body and I think $1800 is over my budget. Also, if anyone has used the Nikon d90, how is it? The Boom Boom Room is closed. It actually just reopened as Maison Musique but I'm not sure how it is. I only know they just started to do electronic/dance shows there.

I'm gonna try and make it out. Pygmy Lush played a house show like 2 blocks from my apartment in the spring and I was too stupid to not go. Ghastly also played Tulane last year and I also neglected to go haha.

Go to Frenchman St on Saturday night after Voodoo. It gets incredibly packed and it's 100x better than shitty Bourbon. The bars are also much much better. This is first Voodoo on Halloween that I've been too so I imagine it'll be extra packed. There is also a rumor that Justice is doing a set at Club Ampersand after their set at Voodoo. Check out Domino Sound Record Shack at 2557 Bayou Rd. It's in Midcity but it's a cool store. It's only a few miles drive from the Quater. The Iron Rail also has a good selection of DIY/Hardcore/Metal/Indie. It's at 511 Marigny St and that's walking distance from Esplande/Decatur st. For food, eat at Crabby Jack's, Parkway for po-boys and Port Of Call for burgers. Jacque-Imos and Dick & Jenny's are great restaurants but it's kind of expensive. I went to a small boarding school so everyone knew everyone. I listened to music no one had heard of and played varsity baseball. Every student had to play a sport each season so I played 4th's soccer and 3rd's basketball. I'm not all that much different except I'm lazy.
