I posted the number about two weeks ago, I called and they took care of me right away, this was after 3 emails with no response.

Shit, I ordered one for myself today and then like 10 minutes later grabbed a second one for my brother in law who's a casual vinyl fan and a huge Dave fan. I paid 33 after shipping and tax, so $66 just separate orders. Just realized that I should cancel the two and order them together but the listing is gone. Either way, glad I grabbed them at 27 a piece!

Since the "smoke" and 180g is now sold out I wonder if they'll continue to keep this in press just different variants. They're basically printing money with every press/repress they do so it doesn't make sense for them to only press 3,000 or whatever the press for TBEITBN numbers are. I think they should do a pink marble variant it would look fantastic with the art work.

Agreed, I just wanted what I paid for, in the end it's the same music, and I walked away with a free Thrice record so all's well ends well.

I just got off the phone with customer service for Thrice's store. The guy told me that the box came in labeled smoke variant but the box was mislabeled and it happened to the first 20-30 orders. He said they're requesting more from the distro but there's no timeline or even guarantee that there's any smoke variants left. He refunded the full amount and let me keep the 180g copy I got. However, he said I could hold off and wait to see if anymore smoke copies come in but I opted to take the free album. Here's the number I called, 1877-687-4277

I think that's exactly what happened, it didn't say on the plastic wrap which variant was inside like most now a days do. It was either they paid 0 attention packing and just shipped them out or there was a mistake at the plant and nothing was labeled. However either the case they screwed up big time and it's not an isolated problem it seems

I haven't heard anything back from their customer service, I emailed them on friday morning when i got my album. i figure that they screwed this up and there will be no smoke left to send out.

Agreed, I was hangry when I write it, I'm better now, still bummed I didn't get the variant I originally ordered.

After spending the last 4 days with this album on non-stop rotation heres my breakdown Hurricane- This is one of the many reason I love Thrice, probably one of the best songs they've written since Alchemy, in my opinion blows anything off M/m out of the water, great opening track and my favorite from the album. Blood on the Sand- Took a long time to grow on me, not bad, not great still pretty ambivalent towards it The Window- One of the weaker tracks not bad by any means just not a stand out track in my opinion Wake Up- I actually really like this track, it seems not many do, i like the funkyness of it by no means is it a strong track but I enjoy it The Long Defeat- Another track i like that seems many people don't, it's nothing special but it's a pretty good song Seneca- the verdict is still out for me on this, I like the atmospheric feel of the song but it's just a filler track Black Honey- Probably the strongest hardest track on this album, I liked it the moment i heard it Stay With Me- Lyrics are a little annoying but it's a good song Death From Above- Super political as is much of the album but probably the closest to "old" Thrice on the album Whistleblower- I dig this track a lot, it's fast and aggressive and I like that, lyrics are corn ball though Salt and Shadow- LOVE THIS TRACK! Got a Bon Iver feel to it and I dig that, great book ends on this album the first and last song on the album are fantastic ways to open and close a fairly sub par album from Thrice Also fuck that dick hole who got a smoke and didn't order it, I hope his stylus breaks!

This sucks! What a pain in the ass this is going to be! Plus with the long weekend no resolutions until at least mid next week.

Overall the packaging is really nice, the lyric book is full sized 11x11 and bound together by string. The jacket a bit heaver than a normal single jacket and the record sleeve is standard black. Vinyl itself is 176 grams (I have a food scale at work) not that it matters but I checked for shits and giggles and comes with a download card.

I don't really care too much for variants but I'm almost 100% sure that they'll email me back saying there's nothing they can do. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else. I'll let everyone know what they say if they even get back to me.
