  1. Anyone else here update this thing? I think it's an awesome tool. I just updated the Huntingtons page if anyone's into them, they had a ton of releases but only 3 on vinyl.
  2. This truly is a great board. No one in my life is into vinyl the way I am and it's great to be among a board that shares the same passion for record collecting. I spend the better part of my internship on this site, so if I get fired I blame you Virgil. Just kidding, I'll blame the temp.
  3. I have no problem with a label selling test presses, if it's not sooner it'll be later. However, I do agree with a raffle/contest idea, especially for the the board members, spice this baby up a little.
  4. This is a great idea, I would definitely use this to buy and sell. The delivery confirmation is a great idea but I agree that the service fee should be less, maybe between 5-10% I think if it's higher the selling price would be artificially inflated in order to recover the service fee by the seller. This would especially affect higher priced records who would sell for 10-15% more than what they are worth (which is a lot of money when we're talking about records approaching $100 or over) A lower fee would be nominal and might not even be embedded into the price of the record by the seller.
  5. Anyone know this pressing info? I have it on tealish marble (or whatever that color is). Not a big fan of it so if you wanna trade i'm down.
  6. Seconded on all accounts. I had two opportunities to pick that up at shows in mid-2001 and passed both times. [slaps forehead] I did buy Brand New's CD-R demo, though, and whenever I need to put my kids through college, that'll be the first thing on eBay. I figure it'll get me a good semester's worth. Even worse, I bought that cdr demo at the show, and lent it to a friend and never got it back
  7. That's a pretty good deal, I've seen it go close to $100 before I remember the first time I saw Brand New was in Baltimore in the Fall of 2001 right before your favorite weapon came out and they were selling The Rookie Lot/Yearly Split 7" for a buck and for some reason I was like "nah"... biggest mistake I ever made
  8. just one: Huntingtons "High School Rock" LP on Tooth and Nail Records
  9. I just got the new Comeback Kid LP on Black/Copper Marble, looks really cool when it's spinning
  10. Yeah conoley, I'm home now and checking it out, its a 3 way split with mineral, j.e.w., and sensfield on Crank records and gray wax
  11. I have a Jimmy Eat World/Mineral split 7" from 1997 on gray wax, not sure of the name or songs on it cause I'm at work right now, but I'd like to post it on BurtnWolf later so any info would be great.
  12. Hey oakland, I love this line you wrote at the end of your post: "Not to mention, come to my house, look at my record collection, then tell me I don't have something a lot cooler than some dude with a ring binder full of CDs he won't like in 6 months. " It's so true, there's just something about the physical record itself that makes it so intriguing, much more than CDs or Mp3s for that matter, could ever hold a candle to.
  13. A couple years ago I remember Victory Records had a link on their site to a list of all their vinyl and pressing info, I've been trying all day to find it. Reply with the link if it is still up or if you had saved it I'd love to download it.
  14. A while ago I picked up a flexi disc with by Revelation Records which had: 1. Sense Field "untitled" 2. Farside "save it for the children" Says that it came out with the 1998 Revelation Mail order catalog Any info on pressing, value or when Revelation did these runs and if there are more would be great.
  15. Just to get a slight gauge on what everyone here is into, reply with a list your top ten most prized records (doesn't necessarily have to be your most valuable) in your collection, for now lets do LPs only. I'll start with mine: 1. Huntingtons - "High School Rock" - Test Press 2. Brand New - "Your Fav. Weapon" - Clear Blue 3. Saves the Day - "Through Being Cool" - White 4. Huntingtons/Darlington - Split LP - Black 5. The Rocket Summer - "Calendar Days" - Pink 6. MxPx - "Life in General" - White 7. Bloody Sunday - "They Attack at Dawn" - Clear 8. Cooter (Auto Pilot Off) - "Looking Up" - Clear Red 9. Taking Back Sunday - "Tell all Your Friends" - Gold or Orange (can't remember, i'm at work) 10. The Movie Life - "Have a Gambling Problem" - Clear/Dice picture
