  1. I picked this up in Philly when hash pipe just hit the radio. The guy at the store sold it to me for $9 cause its an import and he said it got recalled because of a pressing error, the back cover says: side A - hashpipe side B - starlight when in fact on the actual record its side A - hashpipe side B - teenage victory song I thought it was cool so I bought it but I feel like it was still mass produced and everyone has it. Any idea if its really a rare find? (sorry, low quality cell phone photos)
  2. Spudz!!! picked him up from the humane association 2 months ago, been best buds since.
  3. It's interesting, after I read the article and looked at the picture of him, it's exactly what I imagined he'd look like.
  4. PS, I lived in Manchester, NH for a year when I was younger, on lake ave. I visit family up there about once a year. Any good record stores up there? I might actually be going up this weekend if I feel like hitting the road again.
  5. I was thinking using the term "full discography" liberally, it can include cds (since some releases never see vinyl), cassettes, colors, or whatever you're working on. For example, I'm not gonna go collect every comp a band has been on (unless it's a cool rare one). Its up to you how you define it: all the releases, all the releases and color variations, all the releases on every format, etc etc.
  6. anyone ever been to a coldstones? The singing/theatrics pisses me off. Just give me the damn ice cream!
  7. What full discographies of bands have you collected or which ones are you still working on? I just completed my one-21 discography (they didn't have that many releases but 2 of them are almost impossible to find) Also I'm really into the Huntingtons which have had so many releases that it's gonna be a work in progress for a while. I'll post my pics after work, post yours.
  8. This really isn't a collection, but I've got like a sock drawer full of 1" pins. Can't say I really pin up anything now though, but thats the closest thing I have to a collection next to vinyl.
  9. I'm not a huge fan so I don't know the name of this episode but it's the one where Jerry's dating the woman who has man hands. That one kills me. "it wasn't a twist off"
  10. I'm a full time college student in Pennsylvania (one semester left!). This summer I'm a marketing intern at a company that makes electronic sensors and I really hope that this internship isn't a sign of things to come. I always knew I wanted to study business and I love music so I chose Marketing as a major and Music Industry as a minor. Its worked out well, and even though this internship bores me to death I still got somthing out of it. In the future I really hope to be involved with music. Hey Scott, they need any Marketing people at AP? Also Thomas, after my first year of college when I went home to Delaware for the summer I spent 2 weeks training to be a tow truck driver. They fired me after they found out I was only going to be able to work for the summer. It was actually a lot of fun, and since then I always switch to the furthest lane I can when someone is broke down on the side of the highway because I can't remember being more afraid then when I had to change a woman's tire on the side of I-495 with about 4 feet between me and certain death by 18 wheeler. Keep that orange cone handy.
  11. http://i23.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/97/26/9dae_1.JPG I remember "the bart man" being less gay looking dance than this picture disc displays
  12. AIWA PX-E855 Bought it off some metal head for $15 in 1999 in high school when I was a freshman. The kid was getting into that late nineties embarrassment called "rap metal/nu metal" and had just purchased two dj style tables and wanted to ditch his hi-fi. His band mates who were older than me said that rock was like a pregnant women who's child was metal and punk was her after birth. I got into a lot of fights in high school...
  13. I was bored at my internship and after google-ing my name for a few hours just started searching vinyl and came across the page where loren was collector of the month, the rest is history.
  14. $7.99 for an LP? BFD, I can't remember the last time I payed less than $10 for a LP. No one better complain.
  15. I have a few LPs that I kept in the shrink wrap, on one of them the shrink wrap was pulled back a little and the exposed area now has a slightly lighter shade than the covered area. I guess it works but you want to make sure the shrink is still pulled over the cover consistently, other wise only part of your record is protected. Honestly I would rather preferred the whole cover looked slightly lighter than just a thin clearly divided edge, at least it would be less noticeable.
  16. anyone else preordering this 7"? They've been playing the song a lot on XM, I think its great.
  17. I have that Wynona Riders album on cassette, can't remember if I liked it or not, some of my favorite lookout releases would have to be: Riverdales s/t OPIV "energy" Common Rider "am i on my own" 7" the Green Day releases Ted Leo releases The Queers "surf godess" 7" and Don't back Down records. Pinhead Gunpowder (I forget the name of the 7", it had "landlords" on it) But, my all time favorite record that they ever put out would have to be Mr. T Experience "revenge is sweet and so are you"
  18. Mystic probably isn't in breach of their contract with NOFX. Like Conoley said, a lot of the lookout bands probably weren't getting the money they deserved. Labels can own the right to the master for a long time (depending on the contract). This is how many of the smaller indie labels have been able to grow. When a band reaches huge success, re-releases of older records sell more as well. If Mystic knows what's good for them, they'll keep NOFX happy.
  19. I read somewhere that all the big money making bands formerly on lookout took back their masters (Green Day, OPIV, The Queers). Anyone know more about this? Anyone think those records will be worth anything in the future seeing as they will never carry the lookout label again?
  20. What label are these guys on now? I heard they left doghouse
