  1. So this girl I dated a while ago, I learned today from a mutual friend that her new boyfriend is totally crazy. He wears these cutoff bluejean shorts every day, regardless of the weather, sleeps in them, always keeps them on, even showers in him. Meaning, I got dumped and replaced by a never-nude. God.Damn.
  2. just because I'm bored... Grayson loves car rides
  3. Man Luti was sooooo fucking bad. I had to sit through them every time Zao or Training for Utopia come to town. Yeah, i think the only reason I was at the aforementioned show was to see Living Sacrifice...but it may have been Zao. My friend actually got kicked out for Stage Diving, but in his defense, he missed the Show Mom's PSA.
  4. if you think there new stuff was bad, you should have seen them when they were first starting out in Douglasville, GA and played in churches (I once saw them at a place called Teen Planet, which was one of those new "hip" churches...they had this old lady that asked kids not to mosh and stagedive...they called her "show mom"...you know, like a soccer mom...only for shows...I have no idea why I was at this shit), and they were called the Luti-Kriss and had a DJ. No shit.
  5. I'm moving back in with my parents at the end of the month, mostly because I dont want to pay three months rent while I am on tour and not living in my current house. Couldn't find anyone to sublet my room while I am gone, so, this dude is just going to take over my lease, and when i get home from tour in November get a new place. Bummer.
  6. Lost and Found rules, these guys are stupid.
  7. yeah, the college I graduated from back in December is now offering a Creative Writing Certificate, which is only 4 courses, which is something I guess I could do over a summer, but going back to school is something I totally don't feel like doing right now. And I guess if I was going to go back to school, i would go to Grad School, and I sure as shit don't wanna do that right now. Ugh.
  8. yeah dude, I work for this Pet Sitting company, which usually rules because I love dogs...and especially in the fall when its not too hot, but in Atlanta right now the average is the high eighties, with some days jumping up to 100. Few things are worse than walking a little bratty dog in the beating down sun and then picking up the turd it just dropped on the side of the road.
  9. Seriously. Practically on call 7 days a week, get bitched out if I dont pick up my work phone on days I have off (but to be fair, since I dont have another off day until July 27, that isn't very often), and dont get paid enough to deal with it. Picking up dog shit kind of sucks, too. I have a BA in English. Someone give me a work at home writing/editing related job or something. so I can quit this and still make money when I am on tour for three months starting in August. ha.
  10. this is like, right around the corner from my parents. Sadly this isnt the first time that the Batman ride has taken someones head. When it first opened a while ago, a worker was down there and got his head taken off by the foot of someone riding.
  11. I have a female friend who is really, REALLY cute, and I told her that is just ever got a bitchin chest-piece or sleeved out one of her arms, i would propose to her right then and there. because I am a shitty, shallow person.
  12. i can't argue with this. Andy Hurley and Sam Zurik are way more bangable than me. c'est la vie
  13. So, my last girlfriend. Before she dated me, she had a strictlly physical relationship with the drummer from Fall Out Boy. She broke it off with me last August because she didnt want to "get married or anything," which meant she didnt want to be real serious. Now she lives with her current boyfriend, who just happens to be the dude from Cap'n Jazz and Make Believe. Not so much a bad breakup, but a just bad story.
  14. nah man, I just need to get rid of it. I have a Mesa Triple that I use for guitar (that I scored for $450!). I just want to get rid of the 5150 to like, get tattooed or something. I also have a Marshall JCM2000 TSL100 that works fine other than the fuse has an affinity for blowing. And cosmetically it looks like crap.
  15. i know mine ISNT a 5150 II, because the II had TWO EQs, one for the clean and one for the dirty channel, which mine doesnt. I think mine is just an early model that just has different block letters for the 5150 logo.
  16. there are people talking about it on the Fest board, but, someone on here has gota know someone that knows someone that can talk to a friend of a friend that knows someone who can convince Andrew WK to play the Fest. Seriously. That would be the definition of Epic.
  17. i mean, it still has the EVH signature on it, I just had someone tell me it wasnt a "Block Lettered" 5150, and that it is a 2nd generation. I honestly dont fucking know. I bought it when I was 16, im 23 now. Its been sitting for 2 years, I just need to fix it so I can sell it.
  18. I told my senior seminar professor that my fiancee had just left me the night before, and thats why my term paper wasn't ready. i've never been engaged.
  19. I have a 2nd generation Peavy 5150 that is just taking us space in our practice space, I'd like to get rid of it, but it has one problem: it hums really really loudly. Sometimes it hums so loud you cant hear what you are actually playing. Does anyone know what this could be, and how much I am looking to get it fixed? Id like to get it fixed up so I can sell it, but I dont know if the cost to fix it would be more than its worth. i suppose I could just take it to the music store....
  20. Basically. I got a lot of cash from my family when I graduated highschool, and when I was in college the first year I was living real cheaply, so I basically saved enough to put out our first two records (they were both Short Run CD-Rs). Those sold enough to get a nice full blown CD pressed, and form there on out been selling enough to keep things afloat without having to dip into my personal savings. I mean, sometimes I would front some cash from my savings, but it would be for a band that would be playing shows and pay back what i fronted myself. But with the Felon Wind, now that they are calling it quits, I dont really see being able to make back that cash and enough to press something else. eh.
  21. I'm not bailing because I got screwed once. I've been keeping things afloat for three years and breaking even, but this time it caused me to dip into my own personal money, so not only is my label in the red, but so am I. This is has always been a really really small label, and I dont really have the flex room or extra cash to have the flex room to deal to deal with unfortunate circumstances twice. i never cared about making any money, I just wanted to put out records for my friends for as long as I can. And now I can't, so I'm not.
