new stream of another song
http://www.decibelmagazine.com/featured/streaming-junius-battle-in-the-sky/
edit: this should have been the first released stream. WOW>
Agreed, This is really good.

This is a definite problem. Simple solution is to stop buying those overpriced records. I have completely cut back and pretty much stopped buying anything in a ridiculous bundle that contains the most "rare" pressing. This first happened with the newest Make Do And Mend lp. I ended up not buying any version.
The fact that we are finding it okay that a regular lp is priced at $20 is kind of disturbing to me. I don't expect the same prices as when I was a kid, but I tend to use the prices of Temporary Residence or Deathwish as a guide as to what is a reasonable price for the label/artist and the consumer.
Lastly, I'm also getting tired of some labels who do fancy covers and colors of vinyl only as an excuse to completely jack up the price. There are many labels who do these cool things, but the price is only a bit higher than the regular stuff.

Here are a handful of my 2012/13 3rd grade poems from last year.
Mountains Calling
Mountains, could you
hear the disturbing sound?
It’s thunder. I know how that feels
someday your mountains are going to fall.
Someday you might be stopped.
Just call me,
I’ll help you.
-Cristian
Secret
I have a secret that I
told no one in my life.
It will make me nervous if
I tell someone, but I did anyway and
I felt fine.
Then I told my friends and I
am still going to tell more people.
I will not be scared anymore.
I will be me and
stay like that.
- Eve
Open
When I opened the door
an ugly dog popped out and I screamed so
loud I fainted when I finished screaming.
When I woke up I heard a loud
screeching from the backyard.
I went to my closet to put on my
binoculars
and
swimming goggles.

Below The Sky
Below the sky there are cities, towns, hotels, and
stores. Below the sky there are millions of people.
Below the dirty sky, dragons are breathing fire
and millions of hippos crawling like babies.
Burning people melting snow all
beautiful green grass showing like big great
teeth showing smiling people making
bad choices. They don’t know
what they’re doing.
-Esmeralda
Haiku
light glimmers at night
this house is on fire, help me
I hate you, don’t help
-Andre
This last one is another one where I played them the Explosions song and gave them the title to use for their poem.
A Song For Our Fathers
A song that fits their personalities.
I’ll give so much thought about
love and caring.
It’s going to be a big song.
There will be lots of “sorries”
because I did something bad.
The song is like a misunderstanding
about what I did.
When my father forgives me I will
write another song about
forgiveness.
-Chris
I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out this year.

did you guys ship priority? the PO left mine at my door. Shipped MM.
Mine was media, as far as I know.
-
Mine was attempted today but signature required. That is a first for me from them.
That must be what I have to go to the PO to pick up. I was wondering who the hell sent me something that required my signature.
That will be a rewarding trip there at least.

The /50 tour edition is up at the site in the first post
Was just coming here to post this. Damn you're fast. http://www.kingsongproductions.bigcartel.com

Check out both their solo stuff. I know Michael Trent has The Winner on lp and it is incredible. Carry doesnt, but her cd's are great. Was so happy to see them start to blow up in the past two years.
I just bought the two records they have. I didn't know they also have solo stuff. Will have to check it out. Thanks.

I just discovered Shovels and Rope recently and am really digging them.

Hey all - Otto here from smw. Just FYI, we've realised that that pack was a miscalculation on our part. We intended it to be a pack including the vinyl and some other goodies, but should have considered the peeps who just love vinyl and want to support the band in that way.
We have now updated the rewards list to include a $90 vinyl option, (which includes a digital download and name on liner notes).
Cheers.
So $20(a normal high price for a record these days) for the record and $70 to get your name in the liner notes.

I think I remember paying a lot for shipping, so I think I'm "okay". I don't even remember the last time I got something COD.
-
Pardon my French, but fuck these guys. No matter how much I love a band, if they do some bs like this they are on my permanent shit list.

Buying. Great cause.
Without hesitation. I talk to my 3rd grade students a lot about the importance of spaying and neutering pets and adopting. Maybe tomorrow I will play them some Skeletonwitch.
-
I have so many. With bands getting so hyped up here, it can be difficult not to get caught up in the insanity and sometimes you have to make quick decisions to get the most limited variant bs or regret it later.
I am coming to the realization that in most cases I should just wait and if I miss out on a rarity I can pay more for it later. In the end I think I will end up buying less crap that I only listen to once or twice. Paying more for those few I truly care about would still put me ahead in the spending department.
Though, I will say that I have made some rash decisions and been very happy.

WHY WOULDN'T YOU OPEN IT
I have an original copy and another 180 gram. This is my third copy through some strange circumstance. Believe me, I listen to all my Waits records. I just seem to have multiple copies of his stuff.
-
It's really strange to me that this is not on national news. They will show a story about a cat who rides on a vacuum cleaner, but this complete fucking injustice is swept under the rug.
-
Finally got around to buying this today. No sound issues on either side so I'm very pleased!
Wonder if you got the repressing or if it's original. Found this info on discogs: The roman numerals "II" or "III" in the dead wax on side A and "II" on side B separates this from the original pressing.
My original pressing is fine, but my "repress" is messed up. I got pretty lucky with this album, but no red .

I have to hand it to LITA on this one. Packaging is fantastic and price is great.
Can't believe they are selling this direct for $30. 3 LPs, fancy box, high quality sleeve and full color booklet.
Got mine and it looks beautiful. Looking forward to diving into it tonight. Yeah, the fact that this is only $30 is pretty damn amazing these days.
-
I've got a sealed 180 gm Nighthawks on black if anyone is interested. U.S. only $24 shipped. PM me.
-
True, either way they will probably be around for awhile so I can think about it.
Does anyone have an original press who can comment on the sound quality?
I'm actually surprised the blue/gold hasn't sold out yet. It is Mastodon and 500 really isn't that high taking into account actual fans and the flippers.
-
Can't wait for this!
-
Flood, please add me to the drawing. Thanks a lot!

I thought the Hookers was only on pink or black? I'm pretty sure those are the two I have.

Yeah, in general my job gives me a lot of satisfaction. I'm nowhere near rich and never will be, but I enjoy doing my best to have some sort of positive impact on the future of our world. I would suggest volunteering in a classroom to see if it's right for you. I started out teaching poetry of an org called California Poets In The Schools. It made me realize that teaching is what I wanted to do. It's funny that, if you met me you probably would not guess I am a teacher. It's gotta be something you love. I guess just like any path to happiness.
