Awesome- thanks, guys. I'm 5'10 and slim so I'm probably in that middle ground between small and medium. I'll give a medium a shot and hope it makes me look muscular and not fat.

$45? *highly exaggerated jerk-off motion*
pretty sure you could easily buy all the original singles for half that.
Found my copy of Every Day Is Halloween at Goodwill. So, yes, definitely!

Anyone order shirts from Topshelf Records? I'm about to grab a medium PBTT shirt because I love this new record and want to make sure I don't end up squeezing into a fat bellyshirt. My La Dispute shirt from the Wildlife tour is the smallest medium I own and is also the only band shirt I've bought in the past couple of years so wanted some input before I ordered. Thanks!

My original copy of this got bent in my backpack on the way home from Clubhouse Records. Will replace posthaste! Definitely my least favorite Descendents record but it's like pizza for sure.
My brother's copy of Milo Goes To College was left by him when he went to college. I listened to it non-stop as a teenager and it will always be my favorite. I was just the right age for Everything Sucks, though (14) so it holds a very special place in my heart. All is next best for me, followed by kind of a clump of all the others.

My paper thin black has arrived and was listened to loudly. No issues with sound quality. Listening to the download on repeat at work because this record is killing me right now. KILLING. ME. If better music is released this year, I'll be shocked (looking at you, Circa).

Got this email from Adam regarding early order still not having shipped so I can stop my whining:
sorry for the delay getting back to you,
if you ordered a teeshirt and record, or a teeshirt only, your order has not been processed. i just picked up the shirts from the printer today, so i'm back on track to fill the remaining orders. (those of you who want red vinyl -- if you made the cut of under 250 or therabouts, i have your red lp set aside...)
please understand that it may take a couple more weeks, as i'm doing this by myself and the release of 24 hour revenge therapy has made me more busy than i anticipated.
thanks!

I'm over the different color thing. I ordered cola, got 'shit' as everyones calling it instead. I was just happy to finally own it because it's so damn good, BUT my side 2 is ridiculously bad as far as surface noise, hisses and pops goes.
This sounds like the same problem I had with the John K Samson record on white. Side B had TONS of surface noise on it. Unlistenable. People complained and the stock Epitaph response was, "Yeah, we told the band the white would sound like that but they wanted it white so that's just what it sounds like."
Maybe they should press with a company that makes decent-sounding colored records.

Still no shipping notice here. And no response to my question sent through the site. I wonder if it's because I added a t-shirt and they were out of stock or something? Either way, pretty disappointed.

Just confirmed fo' sho' with CC. Large order, hoooooo!
Thank you for contacting Collectors' Choice Music!

You pay one shipping charge, they ship whatever they can now, and the rest as it is available.
I'm double checking on this with them but, if it's true, I'm about to place a massive order with several different ship dates (on which they'll surely lose money in shipping and probably wholesale cost). Seems too good to be true...

I ordered Monday afternoon to Canada. Arrived yesterday. $71 for 5 records; had to pay just under $20 CAD brokerage fee (UPS), which is not great, but I've been dinged a lot worse with orders from the US. I was kind of amazed at how fast it all came. They also had one LP temporarily out of stock. I'm very curious as to if it will ever ship, and what kind of expense it may incur (the album is New Pornographers' Twin Cinema, which is in print via Matador, so they may well get it soon).
I asked this question (specifically regarding preordering the Death Cab records with some in-stock stuff) as well as if I could pick up in Itsaca, IL (since I'm paying sales tax for IL) and got this response:
Thank you for contacting Collectors' Choice Music!
Unfortunately we are not able to hold the items until the other one becomes available. And no, we do not have stores, the package will be delivered at the shipping address you provided us.
Please contact us if you have any questions.

Now I'm confused though- does this mean they'll ship the in stock stuff and the pre-orders separately with one shipping charge or will I pay a second shipping charge when they ship the pre-orders? Note above is for an out of stock item so I'm not sure if the single shipping charge applies here.
-
Yeah, that's why I'm worried. I got my order confirmation immediately (#29) but no shipping yet.
-
Anyone else not get a shipping notification yet? It's been over a week and I got no response from the contact form I filled out. Not freaking out just yet but not sure why some folks got theirs immediately.
-
Had the pre-order for this bookmarked forever, then some shit went down and I flaked on listening to the stream. Listening now and it's a jam and I missed the fancy colors. Bummer. Loving this record.
-
Wait, $24 for a 2XLP is a bitchable crime now? Seems fair to me to upgrade my well-worn green copy plus get the 8 Teeth tracks (also to support the band and label directly). Order placed post-haste.

It's so interesting seeing how people who've been following the band rate their albums. I finally gave them a shot right before VW came out and love the first three records equally- in fact, I'd have to look up which came out first if you guys didn't all mention the release order in this thread. Reminds me of something Ian said about Fugazi's evolving sound- that people who weren't along for the ride might feel differently than those who were. I even dig VW, though I rarely reach for it.
Point is, very stoked on this. Glad this board (and Scott) made me give them a chance after my girlfriend saw them and told me not to bother.

My order was #95 and was shipped last night, they probably are.
I don't mind waiting... just don't want to miss out on red if possible. Not a huge deal, obviously, as I'll blast this thing a lot, but I'm kind of a Jawbreaker nerd so I'd hate the end up having to eBay this to satiate my base desires.
-
and got shipping notification already
I'm order #29 and have not yet received... hope they're not working backwards!
-
Fuck...No international shipping......
Don't know how many they'll let me buy, otherwise I'd get some extras and ship them overseas. I bet if you Facebook message the band they'll find a workaround pretty responsive most days.
-
Hey I love the album too but I'm tired of being gouged for limited colorz
It's $3 more than Amazon with Prime. And that $3 goes right to the band. Gouge away I say.
-
$6 shipping and $18 for the LP? Nope
Bummer, I was so excited about ordering my favorite record of all time that I forgot to add "in b4 som1 bitches abt shipping cost." Do I lose board points for this? Are there points on this board?

Realized how little of the Braid discog I have I vinyl.
I can get all of the 7" from Discogs for more than fair prices, but I'm tempted to just go with both Movie Music Volumes.
I can get them both, and Age of Octeen from Polyvinyl for 46 shipped.
What do?
Get the Movie Music collections. That way you get Travis Morrison's dope version of "A Dozen Roses" to put on when you have a lad/y over. Course, then you have to get up real quick to nix the Billy Joel covers but hey, if you're looking for all the singles plus some, it's the way to go. Plus, 7" are annoying to play.

My Opiate has printed inners and all the rest of the first pressing stuff... but no parental advisory sticker. It was bought used in 2003 according to the price tag I left on the poly sleeve. I'm assuming some of these may have just had the sticker on the shrink instead of the sleeve itself? Or do I have a first pressing record/inners w/ a second pressing sleeve? Not a big deal, just came across this thread and got curious!
Topshelf t-shirt sizing question

Quick question, though: are we the music makers? Are we the dreamers of the dreams?
I do not have broad shoulders or Ren Hoek's huge pectoral muscles so I'm sticking with medium because I haven't worn a large t-shirt since I was wearing Nirvana shirts in high school and getting made fun of for not having a sweet, puffy Charlotte Hornets Starter jacket.
