  1. sad thing is that much of the disappointment could have been spared by just packaging it in a nicer box. sure, the stuff in the box would have still been largely useless, but i would have felt considerably less ripped if it had just come in a nicer box.
  2. not sure on the insert, i haven't broken the seal yet. but if i had to guess i would say there is probably some sort of insert because the pink layer under the die cut crosses extends past where the record itself would.
  3. sorry dude, don't mean to ruin it for ya but i wouldn't exactly get my hopes up either. the box is just.. well, disposable. it's a flimsy shit box that isn't even worth saving, even if it is hand numbered. have not listened to the record, so can't give you any details there.
  4. received this today. i have to say, after kicking myself immediately after making the purchase, there was not much room for disappointment. yet i am disappointed. in the photos the box looks as if it would be something fairly heavyweight. not that i was expecting a wooden box per se, but a cheap cardboard box not unlike the kind in which you would receive a Christmas sweater was a fairly big let down. the items in said box are not any more impressive than you would imagine. so yeah, basically spent $100+ on a 5 track 10". awesome. i'm feeling pretty stupid right now. oh and the box and record are both hand numbered. mine is 125/500.
  5. what color is your glassjaw W&T, the black or the white?
  6. I blame my deftones collection. I did feel extremely dirty and remorseful as soon as I ordered it tho.
  7. i was feeling really foolish reading the first page of this thread, thankfully the numbers got a bit larger on page two. my most expensive are box set - deftones box $200 LP - white pony red promo $125 45 - glassjaw stars sealed $50 (i know, i know...) honorable mention QOTSA - songs for the deaf $65 crosses - $100 for a god damn 5 track 10" (extras be damned, i look at it as this record cost me that much, being that it was really the only part of the bundle i wanted) likely future stupidities radiohead in rainbows box set glassjaw junkies (if i ever find one) deftones 7 words
  8. i'm already kicking myself for it, but i pulled the trigger. $118 shipped. =/ oh and whoever said it was sold out was wrong, obviously. bundles are still available with the medium and large size mens shirts. anyone want a size large crosses shirt? i'll give you a real good deal on it. only $50... ha.
  9. i was so close to ordering this because i really do enjoy the EP and would love to own the record, but much like the rest of you i feel like the other items that it's bundled with are pretty useless to me (shirts don't come in my size, i don't even wear necklaces but if i did i still wouldn't wear that one, etc..) to further echo the sentiment throughout the rest of this thread, i would probably have bought it anyway if it were priced around 50 or 60 but i just can't bring myself to drop 100 bucks on a 5 track EP and a bunch of other crap i couldn't possibly care less about.
  10. if it makes any difference to you, my spare copy of liberate is the gray marble from the first pressing. not really itching to get rid of it necessarily, just a FYI.
  11. instructions: please pack with bubble wrap and love, and label as 'fragile' as ostentatiously as possible. thanks! we'll see how that works out. thanks for the tips.
  12. i'm putting in an order with Juno and was curious if anyone here has had experience with getting records shipped from the UK. basically, FedEx costs about $8 more than Royal Mail. i have no problem kicking in the extra bucks if it will mean that i am less likely to receive damaged merch, but otherwise it's not really worth it for me since i don't mind waiting longer to get them. any tips? thanks in advance...
  13. last week at Newbury, they had a copy of the 4LP stadium arcadium box. granted, i have read here that it's not a particularly great sounding pressing, i was still pretty surprised to see it at normal retail of $36. went back to pick it up the next day and it was gone, as was the 20th anniversary press of BSSM.
  14. i have an extra copy of liberate if your friend wants that one
  15. hell yeah, i picked up the blue album as well. kinda hurts to pay $32 for a single LP but that album is a bit hard to come by so i jumped on it anyway.
  16. i hear you man. i would love to own this but had to settle for monuments and melodies for now. hopefully they do decide to do a repress at some point.
  17. looking for minerva and my own summer to complete my collection. hit me up if you have one to sell. thanks
  18. i'm in Providence, RI at the moment and got to visit Newbury for the first time in the mall here. what a fantastic store. i don't think i've ever spent that much time in a single store. those of you who have regular access to this great place had better not take it for granted. so very jealous.
  19. funeral of god would be nice, but i'm more hoping for a repress of splinter shards.
  20. sure. sell it to me with those records i asked you about.
