  1. Received mine from Amazon. I have no regrets as well for missing out on the RSD copy nor unloading my original pressing last summer waiting for this repress.
  2. I took a reduced spending break from about 05-08. I wish my 99-04 self would have picked up more. During that time at that I never associated records with over the top ebay prices, I didn't think anyone cared about them.
  3. I got mine as well today, for some reason I thought it was going to be just Andrew's signature but it was the whole band.
  4. I've been sitting on the Black/Green press since I got it at Hot Topic, probably back in winter 2008. I don't do the album justice, I think I've only spun it a couple times. Selling it was always in the back of mind. Glad more people will be able to grab a copy.
  5. I still say there better be a Jesse picture disc plus one that's rainbow colored.
  6. 180gram? Yeah I use the bow flex so I can handle that, but right now I am only offering brown pressing.
  7. Here is part of the Kung Fu catalog for Spring 2000, $9 and free shipping.
  8. I've gotten a used one with the wrapping and original price tag still on that were $6.99, even some with inserts that had order by mail for I believe around the same price. I think that was circa mid 70's. I think these are accurate list prices http://pinkfloydarchives.com/Discog/US/LP/RDI.htm
  9. I'm pretty sure I was paying $14-15 for a single LP new in 2001-2003. Also the value of the dollar has changed since then, so it's about the same as now or now could be cheaper in some instances.
  10. There better be a Jesse picture disc. I need something to fap to while the record is spinning.
  11. Yeah I haven't been a worthwhile member so far, I guess I have been missing out on a lot the 4-5 years this has been around. I should have just started a new topic even though my post was in relation to one talked about before. I'll make sure to start pressing records with my ass cheeks so I can be more productive.
  12. I should have left out the pricing gauging part. I meant to talk about pressing numbers but I guess the two do correlate. I leave my flipping to hustling the kids at the shows and record stores. We all gotta love capitalism.
  13. I am reigniting this topic that doesn't die. I am not here to talk about whether or not the album sucks, the ranking amongst Brand New albums, or the price that it is selling for. I decided to purchase one of the many selling for $150 from "Iodine Records" on Ebay because I had the money to do so and it's better than dropping $150 on crack or double that on designer jeans. My main thoughts are the accuracy of the 100 album pressing numbers for the white albums. Personally I think it is BS unless there has been a secret pressing or more than 100 pressed originally. That's because I received the sealed album and it was white WOW!!!! <--- sarcasm, I got a rare album! Then going back looking at some of the user reviews, some mentioned they got white albums too. After that looking at trade lists on deadformat a bunch claim to have the white album too. I don't have a trade list on deadformat and I am sure many others don't either. Hell I didn't sign up for any forum until recently on here and I've been collecting records for 10 years. I just find it hard to believe that there are only 100, when I can find documentation for close to half of those hundred. That is unless some people write down they have it yet they don't. I have bee trying to investigate this further but have come up with a lot of dead ends. In the box that was sent to me with the record, there was a bunch of basically recyclable trash, some of which were envelopes with shipping labels and tracking numbers on there with Revelation Records address on it and some other addresses of record related businesses and distribution. Another funny tidbit is that there has been constant supply through "Iodine Records" and even though the price is set at $150, people are still trying to sell it at higher prices than that. For example The person trying to sell this for $300 or best offer http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-YOUR-F....i tem415c3338ad They bought it from "Iodine Records" for $150 and you can see their username in user feedback for Iodine. But really this isn't about the absurd price that it is selling for or why anyone would pay that much, including me. I could care less if they said next week it's going to be repressed and there will be 1000 of each in all colors of the rainbow. I am just trying to determine the real original pressing numbers for this record.
  14. I guess Amazon doesn't know what's going on or it's different for the individuals. I got this this morning. Hello, We have received new release date information related to the order you placed on **********. The item(s) listed below will actually ship sooner than we originally expected based on the new release date: Yellowcard "The Underdog" Previous estimated arrival date: October 06 2011 New estimated arrival date: September 22 2011
  15. Labels can give an SRP to retailers but its just that, a suggested retail price. Im pretty sure its against the law for them to dictate a retail price for retailers which is why its just suggested. The mandated are called MAP* (minimum advertised price) they would have to advertise the good at that price or higher. But that's not to say they can't have sales on say certain categories of goods or give people deals that aren't advertised. It gets tricky online when shipping is involved and one store offers free shipping and one doesn't. * I deal with this all the time with manufacturers because I am in e-commerce.
  16. Right on I'll take anything free. I have found new bands and stuff from samplers before, no harm no foul.
  17. When I got mine I asked if they had polices against buying multiple copies because I thought that exact situation was bound to happen. They told me no and the one cashier said she even gets duplicates.
  18. I was in one of the Hot Topics on the list asking about it. The one employee claimed they wouldn't put it out until Tuesday even if they got it sooner. Then one of the other employees checked a binder that I guess is what they are supposed to be getting in and this record was not on it. If they really don't put it out until Tuesday she said I could call on Monday and request to hold one for me. I'm go to another one by me tomorrow to see what they have to say. The trip to this one wasn't a waste I got Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This to Memory on clearance for $5.
