Looking for copies of both Honorary Title albums; Anything Else but the Truth & Scream and Light up the Sky. I haven't been active on here for quite awhile so it was a big shock to see that I completely missed the Anything Else but the Truth repress, definitely one of my favorite albums. Shoot me a PM

A Loss For Words - Before It Caves (Vinyl?)
badscooter replied to SeeMoreGlass's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Shame on me. I can't believe I left them out. A couple of years ago I saw New Found Glory play a basement acoustic show at the Middle East and they talked about Junction 18 for a few minutes, pretty cool. Rumor has it that Junction 18 had a nearly complete album (circa 2007-2008) that never saw the light of day. -

COMING SOON: Gaslight Anthem - B-Sides LP
badscooter replied to gmoney's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
From my old experience with student government I imagine this list goes out to schools looking for concert/student outing/SGA performances. We had Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory both come to my college and they were booked for dates while they were already touring. It's likely that GA and JEW are doing a spring tour and are looking to fill in empty dates with college performances. Just my .02. -
I saw TGA at the House of Blues in Boston last night and Brian talked for several minutes about the fan club 7". He mentioned how the accounting office doesn't like it, the band is paying for it, etc etc. He said that it will be out this holiday season for sure and mentioned "bunches of records coming in the last couple days" so I assume that they've gotten the record. The band then played a new song "Halloween" which Brian stated would only be available on the fan club 7" record. It was a pretty sweet tune.

Albums That Should Be Pressed on Vinyl
badscooter replied to chutterhanban's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
It's funny going back and looking at my responses to this topic and realizing that a whole bunch of these albums have been pressed in the past year. The Ataris-So Long Astoria Damien Rice-O (Why does he only put out 7" records?!) Damien Rice-9 Crimes Dashboard Confessional-Places you Have Come to Fear the Most Dashboard Confessional-MTV Unplugged Dispatch-Silent Steeples Dispatch-Gut the Van Fountains of Wayne-Welcome Interstate Managers The Honorary Title-Anything Else But the Truth Junction 18-This Vicious Cycle New Found Glory-Coming Home New Found Glory-Catalyst Once-Original Soundtack Senses Fail-Let it Enfold You She Wants Revenge-S/T Sleeping At Last-Ghosts Something Corporate-Ready-Break Something Corporate-North Something Corporate-Leaving through the Window Sum 41-All Killer No Filler Yellowcard-Ocean Avenue I'm gonna keep pulling big time for Anything Else but the Truth and This Vicious Cycle. I'm shocked we haven't seen a Something Corporate press yet. I remember hearing rumblings from someone on here awhile ago about it. -

I thought "Oh Love" was okay, "Let yourself Go" is pretty sweet but my word, "Kill the DJ" is straight up atrocious. Yikes.

Anyone have any experience with the bookshelf TSI line from Polk? I would love to get larger speakers but space is at a premium.

I was running an old Realistic Lab-1500 turntable through a pair of Bose Companion II speakers (all I had) for about two years (the speakers were much older, previously used for my computer) until they crapped out on me the other day. I'm looking for a decent set of speakers that would work well with the LAB 1500 shy of $300+. Speakers in the 100-200 dollar range would be excellent. Any suggestions/links/advice/random thoughts would be highly appreciated.

PO: Sum 41 - All Killer, No Filler
badscooter replied to flood's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Asians absolutely love Sum 41, weirdly enough. In "One Nine Nine Four" the documentary on the growth of punk in the 1990's/2000's they talk about how all these american pop punk/punk bands got brought to certain locales in Asia by surfers. As a result some bands, like Sum 41, Mxpx, New Found Glory, etc. got real big over there in certain markets closely linked to the surf scene. -
Third call to Paypal, got a super cool supervisor (Steve?) who knew of the situation, instantly credited me my $44.00 (after two representatives had told me there was no way). Steve? and I chatted for a minute while accounting processed the refund for me and he asked me how many records/orders I estimated the company did and what the value might be (he seemed sincerely curious). I told him the numbers 3,500 records, average price of 30odd per. He then mentioned they've dealt with disputes for around 1/3 of that. Pretty intense. Glad this is finally over with. I'm happy to be walking away with, at the very least, my refund and increased appreciation for the genius of Shaq.
