  1. There's something about live albums on vinyl that bugs me. The record noise blends in with the crowd noise too well for your liking?
  2. that green vinyl looks NASTY. I can't wait to get this.
  3. I believe you may be referring to the iTunes Universal Scrobbler script, as mentioned earlier in the thread.
  4. her first two albums are the closest thing I get to "guilty pleasures". I'd get behind this.
  5. yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
  6. Wow, this release is awful. I bought both the mint green and the clear/smoke. The smoke copy is borderline unlistenable. The mint green copy is tolerable but still sounds off in a way I haven't been able to put words to yet. The spelling errors are something I would have been able to dismiss if the record sounded good, but taken together, this was a hideously sloppy release. If I were working at or running a label, I would never let this kind of shitty workmanship get out to customers.
  7. I have never seen a higher level of pedantic nitpicking in my entire life.
  8. Someone with a Paypal balance. why would you have a paypal balance? smgdh
  9. I wish you would say this BEFORE I order from someone else. :-/ Are you going to have all the colors?
  10. dammit why can't you announce this on thursday when I get paid
  11. wow, great news. Lime was a killer record. of course, I'll have to wait for the "regular" release because I don't love any band enough to give them $50 for a vinyl.
  12. stop using paypal ever for any purpose.
  13. In addition to the already-mentioned Harvard Square shop, here's also one near Alewife in the little strip mall thing. I think I've only been there once (not convenient for me). Seemed like the average smallish strip mall-based Newbury Comics location to me.
  14. no records (except the couple I bought for myself) but my girl got me a Debut III to replace my old POS. I'll take it!
  15. I don't know what, if any, official weight rating they might have, but my feeling is that 100 lbs on an Expidit is too much.
  16. I haven't opened the seals yet. no time for listening this week.
  17. mine arrived today - S/T, TINLTL and One by One.
  18. yeah this has been out for like 2 months already
  19. me, I'd do it chronologically by pressing date if I definitely knew the pressing dates. I only have four records where this would apply, and two are reasonably obvious: I have an original R.E.M. Chronic Town from 1982 and the 2010 RSD pressing, and then a 1997 Sleater-Kinney Dig Me Out and a 2008 one that IWVT sent me by accident and let me keep anyway. There's also Comeback Kid's Wake the Dead that I think are two different colors from the same pressing run, though I'm not sure. I just keep them in the order I bought them: white, then red. The last one is Coheed and Cambria's Second Stage Turbine Blade, which are both from 2011 - I have the "regular" green vinyl one and then I have the black tour-only one, and again I keep these in the order I bought them, though you could think of the green one as having been "an earlier pressing" because I think it sold out before the tour even started. The Coheed records are easy to tell apart though because the jackets are different colors. Having multiple versions of the same pressing is the only situation I can think of where I'm not sure exactly how I'd sort. This would almost have to be because of color variants, so I guess maybe I'd do white -> ROYGBIV -> black?
