The label says "Thank You Frank". I guess it's possible he did play a part & maybe provided masters.

Yeah. It makes sense if it's Def Jam. The last Roots album was bootlegged by a similar source, so was Watch the Throne & obviously Channel Orange.

It could actually be someone inside Def Jam because a lot of Def Jam boots keep popping up.

did anyone order from vinyl-digital? I'm still waiting for my copy to ship from them. when I asked frank if channel orange was bootleg when it started appearing he confirmed it was so I'm not sure if these could be some kind of inside job but I guess even if it was he'd have to say it's a bootleg.

anyone know what the cheapest option would be to ship to Canada?

Back when the price got super low during the preorder I actually ended up getting a second copy for free. When they cancelled preorders & put the prices back up I got 2 coupons to use on my 2 copies but only one coupon worked & the other didn't so when they fixed it they applied the coupon to both copies making one copies total $0.00 & the other back to what it should've been.

I have Figure 8, XO & Ben Folds Five on Plain. I have nothing to compare then to but I remember they sounded okay. I was lucky enough to get Extraordinary Machine first press.

the canadian preorders are still up. i could be that the version that are coming out are more expensive than what the preorder originally was so amazon US cancelled them.

this is tempting but i kind of don't want to support it. but at the same time i know we'll never see a proper release of this. how does it sound?

the labels get pressed into the wax itself but if you put a label with adhesive over the current one that's pressed in it should work, no?

if they make perfectly cut ones i'd be fine with that. applying using the spindle from your turntable would make it easy to get it perfect.

if they don't they better pay for shipping.

So is this the biggest mess ever? I started listening to mine & had to send AINR this email: Hi, I just received my DCFC box today & I first put on the Forbidden Love EP & the record itself was labelled Forbidden Love but the grooves played The Photo Album. I put on the record in the Photo Album sleeve which had the right label for the sleeve but it's playing the Stability EP & also appears to be warped. The Stability EP is also playing a different record & I don't even want to bother to check the rest. I sold some of my original pressings for this & I'm definitely not happy at all. Thanks, V

I agree. At this point it just sounds stale & dated. Anything that sounds like a Timbaland trademark on that album feels that way which is why it really shines when you hear none of that like on "Blue Ocean Floor".

It would be great if the vinyl edition came with the Frank Ocean song they left off. I'd buy it just for that.
