I finally listened to it in full last night. Overall it's pretty meh but Silverlining & the last song stand out. I'd want it eventually for completions sake.

Why is their last record so rare? I never gave a proper listen but Silverlining was always enjoyable. The Rkives vinyl like 11 bucks on Amazon.ca btw.

Mine tracks fine. It's probably just that your arm is misaligned or something. I'm not technical with these things at all so I can't help much.

Someone on the KTT board tried to get authorization from Def Jam France to press Graduation & they told him that because it was never released it means the artist doesn't want it on vinyl. Hopefully that doesn't get in the way of it ever coming out.

I mostly want the Common repress & I could use a new copy of In Search Of... & depending on what I hear of 808s I might pick up a 2nd copy of that too. I just hope they get that far as I stated above but I'm sure they will because they've announced them & have to be working towards getting them done.

I feel like stuff like this gets cancelled before it even gets to anything worthwhile because it always starts off with stuff no one asked for. How many people even wanted represses of DMX albums? What happened to the crowd voting vinyl campaign that Universal or some big company started?

Could you post more pictures or describe it more? I'm contemplating cancelling my part 2 preorder & picking this up.

It's strange because no one was buying this & it wasn't considered hard to find. At least not when I bought it & then more & more people continue to buy vinyl & now everyone on KTT is desperately seeking out a copy. I'm going to hold onto mine. I don't think they'll replicate the packaging but we'll see. They really need to do Graduation & the first 2 as well. Dropout has all the skits cut out & Registration sounds terrible.

I've pitched the idea of a Kanye box to G.O.D. but it would be a lot of work & money. Picked up 808s for $25 a few years ago, I have a copy of In Search Of... that I bought used & isn't amazing so I'm buying this whether it's the electronic or the live version & I'm also definitely getting Like Water for Chocolate. Hopefully they re-do the first 3 Kanye albums properly, Tical by Method Man & some newer releases they missed like Channel Orange.

Amazon.com moved this up to October 15th but it's a bit cheaper. All other sources still seem to say September 30th. Edit: Not ALL other sources. Some say 10/15 as well.

The Album of the Year demos are great. You could see how much Tim's songs are put together before all the extra layers.

I can relate to being a completist. I justify not getting certain things as not counting in the discography to me. The instrumentals aren't actually apart of the catalogue so it doesn't matter or when earlier records by an artist aren't as good I justify it by deciding what eras or what album is where it starts for me.

Probably once. I got the R.A.P. Music & Cancer 4 Cure with instrumentals & only listened to them once. They're cool to have for archival purposes but sometimes it's not worth an extra $20.

It has a few weak ends but is overall pretty good. The Frank Ocean song is actually really nice. I preordered the vinyl.
